Excalibur - No More Passwords! for Android
Your phone is your key!
Excalibur is a free password manager that you control from your phone. No more master password, no more synchronization between computers, it just works.
It is not just about storing passwords - Excalibur even logs you into your operating system, both Windows and OSX are supported. You can lock or logout from your phone at any time, or just walk away and if proximity detection is enabled the computer will lock itself.
Excalibur is a completely new and drastically different approach to Password Managers solving all the pitfalls of existing solutions:
Instead of storing your sensitive data in one place as everybody else does - Excalibur stores them decentralized - one cryptographic part on your phone and one in our cloud. The only place where the data is reconstructed is in your computer RAM for the shortest possible duration necessary. If your phone gets stolen - nothing can be extracted from it, if Excalibur Cloud gets hacked nothing can ever leak.
Instead of using a master password we use your phone - the most personal device that you always carry with you, the phone will ask your for you specific acknowledgment for every action that might require your attention. Phone application is protected by a PIN code or a password, on devices that support it fingerprint can be used instead. In short term future location factor will be added too. As you dont type any passwords anymore on the PC - keyloggers and malware is ineffective.
Instead of syncing your data across computers - Excalibur is cloud based by design, there is no syncing required, any computer you want to use all your passwords and notes are immediately accessible on it.
Instead of registrations and login into your password manager - Excalibur uses the phone as the identity, there is no need for any kind of registration or login to the system, just install and use. We do not even know who you are, we do not know what you store, we do not profile your activity. Excalibur was designed from the scratch to be the ultimate privacy protecting password manager.
Instead of form filling or copy pasting passwords - Excalibur authenticates on the background in our secure application, no passwords ever go thru your browser from where they could be trivially stolen. This way you do not even see authentication happening - no more login windows - all the websites on all the computer look like you never even logged out. But in fact when you do logout - there is nothing left on the computer all cookies are cleared.
Excalibur is deeply integrated into your operating system, when we lock it, it is not just a custom overlay over the screen as others do it is the operating system build in lock mechanism. Excalibur can even log you in directly after the system boots up - no more password typing.
Excalibur is for free and always will be for all non-commercial users. We believe the best marketing is to create a product people love. If you want to help us - use Excalibur on all computers and share the word!
Excalibur Enterprise version supports Active Directory / LDAP and provides ultimate visibility and control to the admin thru a centralized dashboard. Transforming every legacy system into one time password based multi-factor authenticated with zero integration. All Windows / OSX machines, web services or any app that uses AD/LDAP are supported.
The QR code will scan just fine but when I try to enter my windows password and it just spins forever tried uninstalling and reinstalling on my phone and computer but no difference. Great concept if it would work
Notification getting inactive automatically.
not possible to clean from osx
Just OK because the Idea is Great but the APP is not reading the QR Code. IT turns Off when QR Code is detected so needs more working to be done on it.
issue is in paring the device. while pairing the PC, mobile application screen close imidiately
The moment I came to know about this app I was too excited about it but unfortunately at my end, I am unable to pair up my smartphone with my macbook pro with latest+updated os x n android os :-(
Works Great on me... i hope you'll add auto play music option, that would awesome...!
I want to shut down the computer from phone
its not pairing
Doesnt pair
If you're lazy person to type passwords.. Then u must try this app really cool... One irritating thing is, it keep on the Bluetooth in ON condition.
it fails to verify my password on pc even though i enter it correctly, so i cannot log in to my pc using my phone.. i can only lock my pc manually and sign out manually.. proximity function does not seem to work as well
Won't connect. Keeps on saying reconnecting but nothing happens. Even after I rescan the QR code
nce app but if it have shutdown also it would be awsme
Dont download...time pass
I cant connect. I scanned the QR it keeps on saying reconnecting but its not
Doesnt work Pairing fails every time with absolutely no feedback on why.
in Windows 8 I am using my original Hotmail account and it was asking password for that Hotmail account actually I link my Hotmail account with Microsoft my laptop login so if I give you the login details of my Microsoft account there may be chances of misusing using how can I trust you guys you people simply can login to my e-mail and you can check it right instead of asking the master password Windows 8 why don't you use other options to sign in like a pin number and a picture password
An interesting concept that worked without many issues. Pairing was easy, just follow the prompts. The auto lock/unlocked worked most of the time, the only time I ran into a problem was after enabling the PIN login for Windows 10 then Excalibur wasn't as reliable. The only reason I've rated it average and uninstalled the app was the bit hit my battery life took. I used to finish a busy day with ~35% battery left now on a quiet day I have 19% left. It hasn't hit v1 yet so hopefully it'll improve.
At first Bluetooth login didn't work, now it is better, but still don't understand it completely to blindly trust to lock my comp when I leave. Otherwise works flawlessly :-)
Nice app, cool and intuitive UI. One thing to notice: When I exit the app, Bluetooth connection stays on.
