Ride CATS

When this app first came out, it displayed accurate times for the arrivals of buses at stops. Recently I have come to realize that this app doesn't tell you the arrival time based on the actual GPS location of the bus, but gives you the estimated time based on the schedule. We need what time the bus is ACTUALLY arriving as CATS is notorious for being late and you need to plan accordingly when necessary. You are better off catching the bus before you need it and using Google Maps or Moovit to plan your trips

I gather it gives bus times based on old paper timetables. Would be great if bus times matched current schedules. Better yet, if they were based on actual locations of the bus so we could know if a bus were late. Since I began commute from huntersville, I rarely get to work on time. It's a big mystery when to catch the bus. UPDATE they added GPS to app. But it is misleading. GPS is for bus stop, what any map app could tell you. Still no bus position. Timetables are now current. UPDATE 2. CATS website claims app is GPS linked to buses. Still not true.

GPS location is way off, very sluggish and difficult to use. Google Maps is much easier to use for transit. Running Android Nugat on a Nexus 6P.

Still not quite ready for primetime. Unlike similar apps from other transit agencies, you can't see vehicles on the route. The app is also really sluggish, trying to update stop locations as you move the map around. I'd really like this to look more like the CTA Transit Tracker, for example.

App claims to show real time information derived from bus GPS. However, the virtual bus on the app floats along based on scheduled stops, not where the bus actually is. In the words of a famous admiral, "IT'S A TRAP!"

Since last updated this app is just difficult to navigate and inaccurate. It was easy before be but obviously tech's screwed it up.

I've been waiting for this for over a year, almost 2. So far it hasn't been accurate. I've saved stops for arriving buses and been on the bus for at least a minute when it tells me it's finally arriving at the stop I was waiting at...it seems to regularly default to scheduled times instead of live. It should tell you if it's not a live ETA - especially if it's supposed to be as one of the next 3 buses as the app description states.

Now it shows live-time feeds of all of my busses! I was able to show up to my stop 2 minutes before the bus arrived and the app was accurate!

Finally we have an app that tracks the buses real-time. We should have had this for years ago, at least via text message.

What is the point of this app????? Its a JOKE... Better off using google maps and selecting bus route. A garbage app!!!!!

Running Nexus 6 on Android M. Express busses follow their stops based on the schedule and don't update / alert with real time scheduling

This is definitely the biggest improvement on a transportation app I have ever seen! Almost flawless now!!! The GPS tracker is usually right on the spot! You guys could've done this a couple years ago like the UNCC Tracker. BRAVO! 5 out of 5 for freaking sure!!!

Not really sure what this is supposed to do. Marginal usefulness, at best.

Totally broken. Arrival times and GPS location is way off. That's the whole purpose of the app and it doesn't work.

Does NOT Show location of bus relative to stop or you. Just shows time schedule basically.

Real time tracking is rarely correct

This app was pretty good before. Now it immediately ask for location. I do not ever turn on my location and do not choose to. An app for buses and there schedules should tell you the schedules or times they arrive. This basically used Google Maps to do all the work. I can just use Google maps for that. Do not install this trash!

It does not have the train schedule. As usual with Charlotte, it is only half useful

App is useless, doesn't show any Lynx routes (ie, blank) during rush hour, bad app

It's down when you really need to know when the train is coming. When they get off schedule, this used to be the only way you could tell. The site has had problems for weeks now. months later, it still doesn't work. When the train is late, you have no notice.

I mean it does the job...lets me know when the train is coming..but usually I have to restart my phone because it will just show me a blank page. The creation of the app is pretty poor. Not user friendly.

Its saying nothing running today and that's impossible..... App needs a lot of work

I can't get it to do anything for me. Wanted to use it to start taking the bus into the city. But it is of no use at all

Either this app sucks or every bus i ride chooses its own schedule independent of what is listed here or on the website
