About Handsfree ETA
Handsfree ETA automatically sends location updates, via text messages, calculating your estimated time of arrival (ETA) to a specified destination without the need for any direct interaction on your part. It's simple, safe and very easy to use.
There has been a lot of press about a driver's texting causing accidents and even involving deaths. A recent case in Massachusetts saw an 18 year old man convicted of motor vehicle homicide and sentenced to prison for a term of up to four years. More and more states are passing laws that require hands free use of your mobile phone.
The purpose of this application is to automatically send location updates to your family and/or friends while you are driving or riding a motorcycle via text messaging (SMS). It allows you to focus on the road and leave the notifying to us.
The app has a number of options that a person can choose to control the frequency of the text updates. The text update includes the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and Distance (DST) to the destination. The address that the driver, or rider, is at when the app sends the text is also included in the message.
Enjoy exploring the product's features and remember to always use it safely.

I am a special needs school bus driver and use this app daily to notify the parents of kids when I will arrive. This app works, but it does have quirks. Trip plans can use visited locations saved as marks or typed-in addresses, but you cannot select destinations from a map. That is a major drawback for an app used with a touchscreen interface. The app tends to remember the last destination you went to and uses it rather than your current location. To work around this, I have had to use the current location icon (a magnifying glass) twice: once to bring up the last destination the app remembers, and a second time to force it to read current GPS data. When planning trips, the app tries to validate the destination. If you take too much time entering other information into the planning fields, the app forgets that it verified the address, forcing you to re-verify it. Once you do that and save the trip, it works as it should.. I would dump this app if other apps did exactly what this does, but I have not found any. This app has not been updated in three years as of 04 December 2015. I am using an LG G3 with Android 5.0.1 and am using version 1.1.4 of Handsfree ETA.
