BallisticsARC for Android
Awesome app, thank you, but how do I tell it that my rifle is zeroed at 100 yards WITH a scope mounted on a 20 MOA riser?
Superb support. The didn't run on my droid -hardware incompability- but the programmer gave me a one of a kind, rare, thorough support so it deserves 5*. It also seems that the vast majority of users enjoy he app very much. A pity. Perhaps one day it will run with me.
Excellent app by itself and when combined with the Bluetooth weather meter it only gets better. Zeroed my rifles at 100, performed a truing calculation at 660 yards and got first round impacts at 1020. The ballistic chart was right on. The GPS target map was also very accurate verified by a laser range finder.
After loading and testing the basic version, I registered it. This is a fantastic app for serious shooters. After setting up my first rifle and load combo, it was off to the range. Using a magnetospeed, I checked my load, entered the data and zeroed at 100 yds. Using the map and geosat I laid out my ranges, read the weather from a WEATHERFLOW Bluetooth, and checked the data for 250 yards. After doping, the first shot hit within 1" of the 10" disk center. Cool. Check the Ballistic Arc chart for 500 yards, doped the scope and took the shot. 4" low at 500 yards. YEEHAW. I corrected the calcs using the app adjustment feature, got a new resolution for 500 yards and took the next shot. And the Next, and the next. A 1 MOA group at 500 yards = exactly the scope dope that Ballistic Arc stated it should be. Folks, it doesn't get any better than this. After the update push to version 1.2.1, I had a re-registration error. I dropped an e-mail to Joe, the author at 8PM last night. I got a suggestion for correction 30 minutes later, and a new version (1.21.1) within 18 hours. And that is is about the best support you could possibly ever ask for. Bill Koenig
Excellent ballistic calculator. I haven't purchased the accompanying weather meter yet, but the app uses local weather data to compute density altitude. Very helpful. I also appreciate that it uses the data from JBM for its calculation. I've always found this data to be pretty spot-on
Ballistic calculator has been spot on for me, i have been out to 1100yds with it. You can save GPS range cards, which, I use for hunting. The GPS range card is spot on, I've checked it with my laser range finder. And the new "comp" is very convenient to get your dope in shooting matches when there are several targets in a stage...I've used many calculators, and this is my go-to ballistic app now.
Easily the best ballistic solution app available. The free version worked so well that I upgraded. The GPS ranging function is worth the price, let alone all of the other great features that come with it. Advanced users will love the capability. Beginners should have no trouble, but if they do Joe and his staff are always willing to help. I'd pay double the price!!!
Been using this app in conjunction with the wind meeker for close to a year now and it's been 100% from the word go. I recommend this app and product to everybody. Keep up the amazing work gents
I can not add a decemal point to any entered data. Works on my other devices. My Samsung Galaxy 7 4.4.2 tab is the only one it does this on. [Downloaded a keyboard and fix my problem.] Thanks for the idea.
I really like this app for the simplicity and unique features, such as map mode where you can designate multiple targets and varying distances. However, I have not found a way to input external ballistics from the time of zero. I am running the weather flow weather meter and I've purchased the full version of this app. If there was a way to input initial zeroing ballistics, I would have given it five stars. Isn't this data necessary to make an accurate shot if you are shooting in different conditions from the time of zero? Would love some help/feedback from GeoBallistics. Thanks for the great app!
Waiting for my new wind meter to come since I broke mine
Pretty good app, some better instructions would be nice for beginners. very little options in the pre-loaded bullets section. I'll continue to use and hope for updates.
Wish the app stored environmental data when you zero your rifle. It should be added to the rifle profile. I believe other apps has this capability. Other than that, this app is awesome!
You've got to try this. Long range shooters this is a plus!
I'm a big fan of this app. The trial was great and the paid upgrade is even better. Definitely worth checking out and a big step up over the competition.
Loaded and reloaded. App keeps crashing.
I don't shoot a. 308 and wants me to buy premium upgrade to switch caliber.
The bullet library is a great tool along with the connection to online weather data.
Best ballistics app available!
I purchased this app and the meter to go along with it, I was incredibly happy at first then I got an update. I could no longer enter decimals in different categories which for sight height was a problem. I emailed them and got a very quick response from Joe. Not only did he do what he could to help me figure out the issue but also sent me a phone number to call him and speak with him personally and a free download code to try the app on another device. Turns out it was my phone. I highly recommend this app
I've had about a month to use this app in combination with the weather meter and am truly impressed. This app brings professional features to a consumer market with a very good price point. I would recommend this app to anyone looking to expand their long range game.
This should not be free. You can barely even get to try out the features. You can't move the shooter location, use weather info, or change the load information. $15 is required to really get any functionality from this. It should be 4.99 or so to get something thats usable, then maybe a little more to upgrade. I feel like a switch and bait was pulled on me.
Been using every app for PRS for solutions, however this one will be my go to app from now on. Why, when I saw it was based on JBM online which I use to create my dope on my desktop spreadsheets, now I have it portable. Map and weather is a fine idea, no other app comes close. Only thing I would suggest, please add a menu when you are viewing the table, allow us to customze/view ALL available data collums like online and I would give it 10 stars. A night mode light font on dark/black background.
I really like this app. It does way more than I expected. I have tryed a lot of the other apps out however this beats them all hands down. The confusion I have is when I load my location then put in a shooter pin. The solution is out of range 1196 miles. I am in Virginia and it goes to another shooter in Texas. How can I get rid of the shooter in Texas? Do I need to upgrade to be able to do this which is fine. Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks Jake
Nothing works you have to purchase the premium version for $14.95!!!! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM WEATHERFLOW AGAIN!!!!! I purchased the WINDmeter and now I have to purchase the application to use it?!?! What a joke!!!! All l wanted is to check the wind speed, I can't even do that... Must upgrade, what a joke!!!
I sent a email about the problem I was having Joe emailed me the next day. He called and walked me though the problem. Bam I was up and running. Thanks again for the help
Would give this app 5 stars if the author be so kind to add the whole library of Federal centerfire loads. Paying $19 CAD for the app is too much IMHO.
Contacted seller as I'd purchased it on iOS but not Android. Gave a pro copy with no issues! It's a decent app too...
Nice app, Can be confusing at short ranges. I love my Remington 700 BDL 223. Course it is set to be a Cadillac of med range shooting (600 to 750 yards) so as to have a heavy rifle (heavy rifle means new heavy stock). Moves very little upon trigger pull. Having a Carl Ziess scope mounted and zeroed for 200 yards I know that with a 62gr target round where the round will hit (if I don't hiccup). When using the app, I seem to get conflicting ballistics numbers from time to time. If I can put 3 to 5 rounds within a 1/2 MOA @200 then why would the app show I need to drop my elevation? Oh I know why, because I used the apps buttons for Angle and Bearing. Once I put them in manually there is a HUGE difference in the numbers. Adding an auto slider so the user can see at what angle the device is at would help tremendously. And please add more ammo brands and caliber choices. I cannot find the ammo I use for other weapons I use. Yup it is worth the 15 bucks US =)
The ranging feature is awesome. Hoping for a Hornady ELD bullet update sol.
Great app easy to use. I have used several apps and this brings all the best features together.
I have searched all over the site and the Google site to upgrade the app for full access and can't find it anywhere. I would pay the 14.99 if I could find it.
Works ok, however the online weather I can't get it to change from Tx so that's a - on that but meh
Bought the weatherflow meter to pair with this app. EVERYTHING WORKS AS ADVERTISED.
It's only free with one .308 load
Not bad.
This is a great app. However, the only complaint I have is the ability to backup/sync all your settings and configurations should you change devices. In this day and age we change devices frequently and this key and important feature is often overlooked. If this functionality is added, it will be hands down very hard to beat.
Love how intuitive the app is and the functionality is second to none!! #WontRegret

Well designed app and responsive support. Pros: The important stuff (99% of the app) is straightforward and intuitive. If you get hung up on a something that doesnt make sense, consult the clean documentation, or email support for a quick friendly response. Great Bullet library. Cons: Some small user experience items like range card management and location based atmospherics could be made more intuitive. (these features do work when following documentation)
