DIY Plastic Bottles Design for Android
1. Pre Separate
To save yourself a major headache on trash day, separate your recyclables in clearly marked containers. Give your recycling company a call to see what items need to be separated. Most companies have machines that will do a great deal of sorting on-site, so often you will only need to worry about separating paper and/or glass. Sometimes certain items, such as cardboard, will have special requirements. Make sure to check with your recycling company to see what they specifically will need from you.
2. Choose The Right Containers
Choose containers big enough to hold a week's worth of your recycling so you don't have to constantly bring bags out. It also can help to use containers that match the items you are recycling. For example, you can use leftover paper sacks from the grocery store as a container for your paper recycling or leftover plastic bags to take care of your plastic bottles. (Check with your recycling company to make sure they will take plastic bags.)
3. Make Containers Easy To Get To
Make sure your containers are easy to find in your house. Good places to place your containers are in high-traffic rooms next to existing trash cans, in your kitchen so you can easily recycle packaging from food items, and in the bathroom so you can recycle your used shampoo bottles. Don't worry about putting them all over your house, the easier they are to find, the more likely you are to use them!
Keep in mind certain other items, such as electronics and appliances, will need to be dealt with in different ways. Contact your local city hall to find more information about recycling these items.
