Genius Vision NVR Client for Android
Playback is like it is in slow motion though so I wish there were more playback speed options and a more accurate timebar when scrolling through footage. Also the app regularly crashes on startup and whem trying to view a feed. This happens on my current LG G5 and happened on my old LG G4. Fix please?
This app is almost useful but... no audio? Really?? If i need to monitor my cameras then audio is a must. It is all about security context. Been using community desktop for over a year but looking to replace it. Security is pathetic: http but no ssl & http web pages EMBED YOUR USER ID AND PASSWORD IN CLEAR TEXT IN WEB PAGE JAVASCRIPT ... WTF??? THE APIS are like a 5th grader's school project. You guys can do better ... the feature set is compelling but the API and security.... Holy sh**!!
Never been fixed, app never has updates. Very basic.
Crashes sometimes on boot. Other from that it's been working quite well. Way faster than iSpy. Note 5
I would be recommending and selling the commercial version of this software, if it didn't crash on Android constantly!
And license check problems with PC software - stops recording after a few days even with freeware license. Been like this for years now. Ridiculous.
The app works perfectly in combination with the server (community free version) software, that also again works rock solid. Use it already many years by now.
Used to crash with Lollipop. Crashes even more with Marshmallow.
Crazed psychotic mass murderers are more stable.
Crashes on initial load. Slow playback.
Please add speed control for playback, it's always in slow motion
Slow, crashes, no audio
Works great, integrates perfectly with the Genius Vision NVR running on my computer.
Working nicely with escam and maygion ipcam. Easy configuration using no-ip ddns
Where's the sound?
Work perfectly with various ip camera
it ok but need upgrad
Fine, but WHY SLOW MOTION ON PLAYBACK!!!!????
Constantly crashes on lollipop and Marshmallow, and when it does work goes in super slow motion. If they could fix those two issues, would be an app worthy of complementing the pc software, but in its current state it just makes the excellent pc software look crap. Looking at the last update date, it would appear that this app has been abandoned by the developer.
Does not always connect, and sometimes stuck on connecting with only 2 out of 4 cameras working. Also force close
I really like your desktop app, has a few glitches but overall works. Unfortunately that's not the case with the android version. It constantly crashes while trying to access the cameras, I have sent the support team the crash report multiple times already with no response. It crashes on both my galaxy note 4 and 5, hope you can fix and I will update my review based on that.
Brilliant app. Playback is like it is in slow motion though so I wish there were more playback speed options and a more accurate timebar when scrolling through footage. Apart from that absolutely flawless.
Never have an issue, or not I am aware of. It just works.
I love the CmE app. BUT the app crashes when it first loads up my 8 cameras. During its buffering the feeds, it crashes. When i reload it, it then shows all the cameras normally.
Works great, crashes alot, but still works.
Work perfectly with various ip camera
The app is great but it plays in super slow motion. Amy way to fix this??
Complementing their great PC NVR software, you now have the ability to view your cameras on android! Truly one of the best NVR software out there (if not the best!). Be sure to give it a try!
Have used this with Genius NVR CmE. It works ok but the streaming comes in slow motion. Am I doing anything wrong?
I have been experimenting with several camera management applications but I found Genius to be more practical and stable for home use. It work very well with the desk top version.
Please minimize delay, on intranet (wifi-N), kitkat smartphone, there is delay 5 second. This is not reliable. Delay must be 0-2 second to be mean a real time. Please update to improve stability, performance and feature.
X4 5mp cameras recording at highest quality at 10fps on motion record. viewing on galaxy s2. Running 1 year and no problems what so ever. App always works can enlarge to read multiple reg plates at 15 meters over 3g. There is a star at the end of each camera name, does any body know what that means?
Doesn't work at all for me. Won't even connect
Not working at all
I have installed the community edition of the software but can not find information for configuring the mobile app to successfully connect. I assume that the apps needed host and port number would be different than those assigned to the IP Camera. Do I get the information which needs to be entered in the apps host name, port #, user name, and password from the desktop software? Any help would be greatly appreciated in getting it set up correctly???
On new android 5.0.2 force close when view cameras in grid
Tried to Send a bug report a while ago but got No response. Each time the program is brought to the front , a NEW set of sockets are opened to the server. For Example :: I have 5 Cams . Initially 6 Sockets are open and it is OK. Then change orientation of phone & then there are 11 sockets. then push home on phone and then open prog again. there are now 16 sockets etc ....... check for yourself at TaskManager-Performance-ResourceMonitor-Network-TCP_Connections.
Everything was forwarded correctly and set right but the app still won't connect not even locally. Pc client works remotely no problem it's just this app that does not connect at all. Same problem as martino
The app is simple, does what it says and does it well. No complaints there. The only thing I wish it would do is allow me multiple speeds for playback if recorded video. Any chance in adding this in?

The playback of video from the app is always in slow motion, however live view is fine. The desktop software is great, but the slow playback issue on the app is a non-starter. Also, it would be great to be able to view events from the app. As-is it is impossible to figure out if there has been a motion event. There is the ability to get push notifications through an additional service, but you then have to go in an manually try to find it. This is next to impossible due to the slow motion playback issue.
