Fade In Mobile Free for Android
I have action and dialogue. After opening app 3rd time. Cant figure out how to change the element type. Seems be letter row shows up for split second. Which i assume is the tab for doing this.
Good desktop app. Needs Google Drive urgently. How can we open our desktop files if we don't use dropbox? Surely you're not ignorant enough to think we'd start using dropbox merely for importing 1 screenplay.
I love being able to use the mobile version on the go and then using drop box to edit it out on my desktop. In total, still a lot less than final draft.
Despite the usefulness of the app, the Android version is so unstable. You will surely get my 5 star if the next upgrade have autosave
But no Google Drive???.. Jeeez.. This is Android, for God's sake.
Oh it starts fine, has a great interface, and is so easy to use. .. then craps out, doesn't autosave and helps you lose hours of work.
Would like to be able to turn off the prompting thing when writing, I know when I enter what element will come up next, it slows the whole thing down. So far I have not been able to export it to something I can use in final draft.
Great mobile software interface.
I cant export scripts. It shows network connection error...
Frustrating and almost unusable. Lag lag lag and lag. Youre better off using notepad. It took me 30 mins to write 3 sentences of dialogue, ruined my thought process and i ended up throwing my phone at the wall.
I was looking for celtx replacement due to bad android support and their studio monthly charges. I bumped into this. I tried desktop demo and fade in free app. I don't have problem with dropbox. But two thing which are troubled me. First while writing on app, page doesn't scroll down. I don't see what I am writing, because keyboard hides it. I should see able to see what I am currently writing. Second I saved it in dropbox and opened in my laptop, made some changes and tried to save it. It asks me to save as new file. That is ridiculous. For every changes , I don't have to save new file. If you guys can improve these two things. I am willing to buy both desktop and mobile version
I love this app, its extremely useful, but the user interface can look a bit dead, have a material design UI mayb :). ALSO: It would really help if you added sync between devices so I can switch devices or show my scripts to friends on other things with out re writing it or screenshots. I hope you see this and keep improving, it has and reached a lot of its potential.
I can't even type. Where on earth is the keyboard?
Would really like to be able to just pull the software and allow my fade in, from the computer be able to convert it. I write all my scripts with your software on the desktop. It has amazing workflow. So does this one, minus the dropbox issue. I write it all over again on my desktop by lookong at it.
Thief in the night. Bad choice for you to know if you are looking for a
Love this app
Excellent software that requires terrible software. Fade In cannot open a file that's in your phone or tablet. You must use dropbox in order to access your files. This means it requires the internet just to access your files. How come in the 21st century you can't just open a file? This oversight makes an elegant software worthless if you can't open your files. If you couldn't tell...I want to open my files!
I liked the software. The low score is because of the REQUIRED Dropbox account. Under no circumstances will I put Dropbox on any of my devices again. Uninstalled Fade in Mobile
I cant export scripts. It shows network connection error...
Great desktop screenwriting tool but mobile app needs polish. Scene selection has a significant delay on my LG G3. Using letters for script element selection is confusing, prefer icons. Lack of export feature means it's a pure companion app for the desktop version hence cannot effectively be used on its own. Overall a good start but needs to improve to be really useful. Edit 12/11/14: Scene selection now runs without any noticeable delay. Whole app seems a lot snappier. Purchased Pro version now. Revised to 4 stars.

Use it on my ipad 2 for my short film...easy interface. I am hoping that the files can be printed directly via a wireless printer (as an option) or share to email beside dropbox as not many uses dropbox. Other than that, the best script writing software in android.
Using Nexus 7 (2013). App appears very unstable and repeatedly hangs. Sadly not useable in this state.
I got the free version a while ago and it worked just fine on my htc magic, but now that I want to buy the software it's suddenly not compatible. It says the requirements are android 2.1, which I have, but no dice. I guess you don't get my money.
Their desktop software comes at a reasonable price and should be factored in if you are intending on importing scripts from desktop to mobile
As a scriptwriter this an amazing app highly recommended.
Considering its the first proper screenplay app out there, It's good. Needs to change scene heading to all caps. Pretty good otherwise.
Nice app, thanks.
Try it out with the free version, then get the full version. Way better than any other mobile scriptwriting app. A couple of things I would maybe hope to see improved, but the developer is super responsive. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I tried the previous update and just fooled around on it and it worked fine. Now with the recent update I can't get it to launch at all and I am on Android 2.2. Please fix because I would like to buy the full desktop version and the mobile version. Thank you very much.
I now have reason to use my phone xD
Unable to delete screenplays. Slightly troublesome, but a stable app all the same.
I researched long time and tried many different screenplay software, this is the only one fits all my requirements. It's on both desktop and mobile, connected with cloud drive, so I am able to work at home and on the go. I purchased the pro version and the desktop software, very happy with the result. Highly recommended.
I would buy the full version if you could open file from your device. I want nothing to do with dropbox. Is there a reason you're forcing that b.s. or can bypass it in the full version?
This free app will give you an idea of what the full version can do. Really the only serious choice for screenwriting on Android.
Obnoxious
Good
I have Fade In on my PC and now I can take it mobile with me on my tablet.
The App works just fine folks. The only problems that I see, have to do with the network connections you might have. Make sure you have a good connection to 3G/4G or a very strong WI-FI

Not to recommend for serious writing. After every few pages the app shout down for no reasons. There is no autosave so hopefully you were not in a writing-flow. sometimes import export won't work. after the second page the whole formatting crashed too. its impossible to write with such a buggy app. This app is a creativity-KILLER
