NYC Subway Times [MTA/BETA] for Android
Unwieldy, poor UI/UX, and difficult to find information fast. Needs major fixes before being something useful.
It's generally a good app, but could benefit from a few added features. Perhaps a favorite stations option would be a good option?
Good app but the developer is unreachable! Google should make sure that developers stay reachable to their user base. I wanted to know when the new lines that recently received countdown timers will be listed on the app.
If you live near a letter train you f$/#. This app only shows Manhattan train stations near by. Uninstalling. Please show outer boros.
This app only show the 2,3,4&5 trains. I'm nowhere near those trains. I refreshed it five times and no change. If it were up to me it wouldn't have any stars but they force you to select a star to write a review.
It finds the nearby stations and train lines, but doesn't display the times of approaching trains. Refreshing the app or switching to the prior version doesn't help. HTC 10, running Android 6.0
Why must this be so hard? For GPS clocks are great but that tech is only available on what, 5 lines?
Unwieldy, poor UI/UX, and difficult to find information fast. Needs major fixes before being something useful.
Great app but it hasn't working all too well lately. Maybe bad connection to the MTA feed?
Needs improvement. It does not recognize a major subway station near me. It recognizes stations with subway lines with numbers, not letters.
I've been using this app for over a year now. I wish it contained a subway map and basic information on delays and planned work and whatnot for all lines, kind of like you can get from the MTA website.
What happened to the other train lines, Q,A,C and so on. This crap is useless!! And everyone think is greats!! U have no clue what an app is!!
If you need the letter lines this app (as well as any app) wont do it untill the MTA upgrades the letter lines. Its not the apps fault
... that some apple fanboy built this because it looks like an iPhone app crammed inside an Android app.
This app tells me train times that are 25 thousand feet away never tells me the closest train time at all junk junk JUNK DO NOT DOWNLOAD WASTE OF TIME AND SPACE GARBAGE TIMES TEN !!!!!!!!!!
The app just stopped working today. The classic view show all the routes blank. Please update.
It only shows station in area and not always all of them. 3 stars for time accuracy
This app has been great ever since I got it. Quickly loads up and detects near by stations. Could use a UI refresh but otherwise great
The App does exactly what it says - countdown subways that have clocks, which is only 9 lines. I know that this is the fault of the MTA for only enabling 9 lines, but I wish that the App at least had schedules for the other lines. The schedules provided by the MTA are notperfectly accurate, they at least give you some idea of when a subway is coming at 3 am. It is my fault for expecting this, when the description does not include that, but most apps that I use include things that aren't in the description.
It does the job. I use the 3 train. Every morning before I leave for work I check the train schedule for my station and know when the next train and all the following trains are due to arrive via the MTA train clock system. I'd pay for this app and it's worth it. What's even better? For now, it's free. If I could give this app 10 stars, I would. Great app!!
This app is very unreliable and inaccurate soon as I downloaded it I wanted to use it I was at Queensboro plaza for the 7 train it bright up the 6?!
This app is too demanding of your location. Would be nice if it let you use your zip code or view a trains ETA of any choosen station
Very accurate timing, but I wish it would add a complete listing of the transit system.
To add to what Diab D. said, this app only covers two lines (three, if you count the shuttle as a line). I do not use either of these. While I like the interface, this app is just not useful to me.
The App was sooo great until the last update. Now it makes me turn on my location so it can give me an update on the trains where as before it wasn't needed. Also could you please update so it can give us information on the A train everytime I am near one it never updates. Until then 4 stars it is.
Can't even find the app. I can only access it when I search for it in the Play Store. Please fix it! I like this app, but what's the point of having it if I can't even access it correctly?
Can't get updated times on nearby stations.. Never refreshes even with GPS on
Unwieldy, poor UI/UX, and difficult to find information fast. Needs major fixes before being something useful.
This app is very helpful but why don't this app display the alphabet trains?
Yes, this app is only good for the number line because its under a new computer system. MTA need to rebuild/spend some money to upgrade the system for the letter line. Hopefully, I will live to see it work with the app. All in all, it is a good starts for New Yorker on the go!
Need to have schedule info of all subways/trains.
Just what I was looking for (The 456 and 2 train line) to get to work/school in perfect timing Thanks
This app gives the impression that's is helpful but in reality, is selective. It selects which brand of location GPS it prefers to sync with. It also prefers what information to which trains it wants to give. It's like a run down stop watch on my phone. Granted it gives real time info but I'm always on the go so I prefer to have more options to several other train services especially if I'm in the vacinity.
Ever since the updates I No longer get the train times ugh please fix. Galaxy 5
People don't seem to get that this syncs with the Real Time displays in the stations. Only the 2/3 and 4/5 and Shuttle actually have that functionality - hence it can only give you that info. It's NOT a limitation of the app. Get over it sheesh
Sat at trainstation and it was right on the money. Good work
This app is useless. It improperly detects the nearby train stations.
Only gives the 2,3,4,5 lines and I live near the L need improvement
Instead of displaying how many feet away a station is, it would be nice to see how many minutes away it would take to walk there. Maybe base it off of an average of 4.5 ft per second. That way you know if you can make the train.

Love this app! Use it all the time! Lifesaver! It does what it says in a very simple way and doesn't try to overdeliver. BUT it needs urgent update! A,C and Q,R,W lines have official MTA real-time (inside the stations) arrival times now so PLEASE update this app asap to show these lines too.
