SureFox Kiosk Browser Lockdown

Using licensed version 6.44 in conjunction with big blue MDM solution. works as designed, requires a few adjustments to settings, tech support is very responsive and willing to guide you. Using it for whitelisted URLS as our MDM solution doesn't have a decent app to lock down URLS. Worth the $.

We have been using SureFox for more than 2 years now and we are very happy with it. It does everything it is supposed to do, and do it well. Bonus: the support is really reactive!

Great app. Works as advertised, has tons of features to allow you to lock down completely and display in whichever format you need. If combined with SureMDM, you can easily remotely manage each device as well. Recommended.

We have used Surefox, combined with Surelock for a Kiosk Android Solution that allows our users to Manage Bluetooth and Wifi with out being able to turn them off. The users can only access two websites and their child sites. One being our helpdesk. This is a great application. That is able to lock the tablet down, while allowing the functionality required. 42 Gears support was persistent in finding solutions where we had issues. I am very impressed with the over all product and support. From a production environment perspective, this is highly recommended.

42Gears solved all our Kiosk needs. Locking down a tablet to a subset of webpages was made simple with this software. Couple this with their cloud based product SureMDM and maintaining over 100+ tablets remotely becomes a simple one-click task. I'd recommend this product to anyone wanting to create a kiosk environment for their customers. To top this off their same day support and technical advise was on point.

As a business we were looking to add in-store kiosks throughout our store to allow our customers to sign up to news letters and browse our product catalogue. After a small amount of research i approached the 42Gears team with what i wanted to achieve and was met with a swift response and solutions to any problems that may occur. We are now running the SureFox application on 3 kiosks in-store that are frequently being used by staff and customers alike and it has opened up options to expand this in the future to allow staff members to carry them round with them to offer technical advice on our products while limiting what they can use them for. The only issue with the SureFox application, And it is a small issue. Is that you are unable to have a media file or multiple images used for a screen saver. This was addressed later on by hosting this online and directing to the live HTML page but we feel like this small and simple feature would be a huge bonus to the software. Overall SureFox surpassed our hopes for the software and we look forward to see what is in-store for ourselves and the application in the future.

42Gears technical support is great - professional, polite, and persistent. After my issue with installation wasn't resolved via a couple of emails, they called me and walked me through a short process (the default Launcher in the Android app settings must be set to "SureFox"). My use of the app is to lock down a tablet in a public building to allow only access to the browser and a single website (and eventually allow Pay Pal transactions to be processed). This app contains all of the functionality to do this and is flexible enough to customize the application for a unique look and feel. It also contains features to set the power saving settings and screen saver features for those long periods when the tablet isn't in use. The only (very minor) issue that I have seen is that there isn't an option for 'blank screen'" as a screen saver . After a few more tests I will upgrade to the pro version before deploying this.

The Team at 42Gears never fail to impress. The products they produce are exceptional and there customer service is second to none. Keep up the great work!

42Gears is an outstanding company. Support is quick and very reliable. My needs are to run a single webpage in Kiosk mode (tablet totally locked to that webpage, nothing else). SureFox suits better for that task than SureLock in my opinion. Highly recommend this product.

I've been using SureFox for over a year to lock down tablets for over 40 mobile workers to run our web app. The product works as it says it will and is easily configurable to our precise needs. Adjust the settings as needed then export them into the cloud for all your other devices to import from. Easy and painless deployment to over 40 devices for me. Got to love that. I highly recommend 42Gears and its products.

Exactly what I needed

Excellent robust application with very responsive support, highly recommended. I needed a locked down tablet for my 10 year disabled son to be able to use as a remote control for KODI. This application fits the bill perfectly (and does a lot more). He is now able to select one of 36 films on his own, without the frustration of having pop ups or information screen appear from nowhere or just navigating off the page. Support was extremely responsive to my specific requirements, answering emails within the hour and over the Christmas break. I cannot praise the product or support enough!

Would love to give it 5 stars. Need to lock down to 2 Web sirs on tabbed browser...only app that does this so far. However the load speed is very slow, whether you select Android default browser or Opera mini or firefox. When leading site in Web browser (not surefox) sites load instantly, using surefox takes 20-30 seconds. Bigger issue is on tabbed browser...unless you touch in the black line below the tab it will not switch to that tab. Should be able to touch anywhere on the tab to switch to that tab.

Very good App to block all process/app you don't need to be used by your agents.

Still early days but looks like this product will provide all the necessary security to our tablets that we require. Helpful customer service, and prompt replies to emails. Thank you.

Pretty neat app , does what we want it to do

Great App, but it's too much. Maybe you could offer 2 in-app purchases. 1. to change the password and 2. to enable remote administration.... that way everyone is happy.... sadly I had to uninstall and find an alternate $olution.

Does exactly what it says on the tin> I was able to lock down the browser on 30+ tablets and pushed the policy out through SUREMDM . Software works flawlessly with SureMDM and SureLock. Support is very Helpful and quick in answering questions.

Although there is no option to change category icons, this app has done nothing but surprise me. Its a must have for any small or local business. You can create in store kiosks and more using this simple to use interface that has loads of customization options. It could use some updates but for now its the best I could find on the market.
