GE Brillion™

I installed and connected the Brillion app with our wi-fi, saw the limitations and uninstalled. Then our oven had a constant blinking indication light while the appliance is still seeking the wi-fi router. I tried to reinstall the app and nothing would connect nor link and then mysteriously one night the app did make its own connection. I don't need to know when someone at the house has pre-heated the oven. I have tried to turn off the notification feature and that seems to be not an option. I never know far enough in time to set the oven for remote enable, furthermore someone can kick that remote access setting off by opening the oven door or by touching any button on the oven''s front panel. So, I would be happy if the remote enable light on the oven did not flash when I delete Brillion app on my cell phone or if the installed app would let me turn off the notification messaging about pre-heat.

I can never get the oven to connect consistently. Like the concept, just poor execution.

It works all fine and good but what do I do if it connect with Bluetooth it won't let e continue unless it's will WiFi but our wall oven(microwave) is blue tooth and I'm really confused what to do

Says looking for software nothing else. Can't go any further.

Waste time

Just got a cafe oven and the oven constantly shows as offline in the app even when the connection is solid and remote enabled. While great in theory, horrible in practice. Maybe ill run through the android debugger and see if I find an errors being thrown but that shouldn't be my job!

Download was easy. Needed to update the software. Took a bit longer then I expected but once it did, everything worked as described. Have a Samsung 6 Edge. I must say I had a bit of frustration, as others said, regarding the update. I walked away from my phone a couple of times but left it on hoping the update would appear. I honestly thought it wasn't going to happen......but it finally did. The problem I have with the whole setup is that the remote mode must be turned on in order to have it function.

The update never updates after leaving it for over an hour. Not good. No update and can't move on from there. Of course I guess that's GE typical. It took them almost a month to send a tech out to fix my ovens.

Can't use..won't update...horrible app

Only for oven or microwave. No option for any other device like thermostats or washer/dryer. I have a brillion nucleus that I use to connect my devices but cannot use with this app.

Same issue with the app being stuck on "software update". The app is unusable.

Went through steps light is steady on oven but not connecting according to app on phone??? Check WIFI on phone not connected to it. Check router not showing oven as being connected????

It works pretty well now, was as bit buggy at first and won't connect to appliance. But seemed to with now after a couple days of fiddling with it.

System Update 24.3.7.en.US Android version 4.4.4 Build number su6-7 The screen has words overlapping, i think the lower oven tab is overwriting the upper oven tab. I can not click the 'Start button'. The Menu item is showing the 'oven offline' although the light on the oven is not flashing. even if I push the remote enable button on the oven.

After connecting, says oven needs an update. Spins forever and cannot cancel.

App has a few nice features and is worth installing if you have a compatible oven. I ranked it three stars because its fairly slow to load and login. One of the biggest complaints is there is a button on the oven you have to push before you can remote start the oven. I did not factor that too heavily in my review since that is clearly a shortcoming in the oven not the app, but it did factor some since ine one is useless without the other.

Pretty useless app unfortunately. I'm disappointed I got this feature with my oven. Tried contacting customer support with no response. Junk

Force-closes on my Galaxy Note tablet; Can't exit the app on my Galaxy Note 2. It does work on the phone, though. The Remote Enable on the stove only works until you turn off the stove, then you have to go back to the stove to re-enable. More of a toy than a real feature, needs to mature-a lot.
