About GeaCron History Maps

Interactive Historical World Atlas since 3000 BC

Have you ever tried to identify the historical facts which were simultaneously happening, in any part of the globe, during a certain period of time? If you try, you will see the enormous difficulty it conveys.
In order to provide a solution to this issue and ease the study of history, we started years ago the creation of a system to represent the historical events and the geopolitical maps of any region or country in the world.
The system ables you to position in any geographical area, both with a background map or relief map, zoom, navigate in time and search.

It is way too choppy on newer phones. Works like a charm on my 6 year old tablet, very laggy on my Motorola x play

Very good for the most part. But could do with some more research into certain colonies in some areas. For example the colonised parts of the east coast of Australia were known as New South Wales rather than Australia.

From advertisement, I thought brief description of each civilization would be included without dowload. This is not the case. Considering the price, I hope that this feature is added in the future.

It's just Wikipedia, it's convenient having it all in one app but not worth it.

S70%
by S####:

I was very hopeful for this app but interface could use work and limited in data. Also many links just take you to Wikipedia which gives a very disjointed experience. It prompted me to search for similar apps and there are options that surpass this on every level. Search the store for better rated apps in world history.

Love it, but too choppy and sometimes doesn't load names

E.g. Armenia in 301 was independent country. Armenia in that year adopt Christianity as government religion.

Ultimately it is a very good app with accurate maps and events. But as others have said it a bit slow loading.

Love this... It is everything I was looking for in a history atlas...

This is a great geographic information system. Only problem is it doesn't ruin animations, you have to manually step through. Fix this.

Very very very best everything is full of History

P70%

Very impressive, albeit a bit slow

M70%

Awesome app; a bit unpolished, but easy to sink hours into nonetheless.

M70%
by M####:

Awesome but slow

T70%
by T####:

The best app I've ever seen. I love it.

Pretty good but quite basic. Missing fairly well know data on Germanic and Celtic Tribes and quite a few major cities in big empires for instance. My country New Zealand just goes from totally Maori to completely British at 1840 but surely there could be some definition between the European settlers and Maori before this point. Hopefully it's something the Devs are working on because this app has a lot of potential to be something special. Recommend for school kids.

I think the concept of this app is great. It's a little slow, and it's a little outdated, UI-wise, but it gets the job done. I would pay maybe $5 if the dev could make this quicker, a little prettier, and a little newer feeling. Still decent though; it does what it says it does.

Great but needs a tidy up. Some lock ups

Still, there are no wikipedia links in mobile version, right? Would be great to have them. Good luck!

X70%

I like to read a lot about military history and this app is a great companion. So much easier to get a sense of things with the maps in this program. Easy to browse and organized by specific events, cities, and areas. I love how it shows the territories of the different states and empires.
