TELA

TELA è la prima App per viaggiare con la Realtà aumentata attraverso l’evoluzione storica del paesaggio.
Obiettivo di TELA è poter rendere visibile agli occhi di tutti l’invisibile, dare quindi la possibilità di calarsi pienamente all’interno del territorio, restituendo ai luoghi la loro identità storica, attraverso una visione globale di ciò che un territorio è ed è stato, in diversi periodi storici.

Attraverso ricostruzioni virtuali, per mezzo dell’AR (Augmented Reality), TELA riesce a narrare le trasformazioni avvenute, ad opera dell’uomo e della natura, in modo tale che gli spazi aperti diventino teatro di una frequentazione turistica più consapevole e sostenibile.

TELA valorizza i paesaggi urbani e le campagne, nonostante essi siano esterni a Roma Capitale, ma non per questo motivo privi di patrimonio storico, aggiungendovi capacità attrattive.

Tramite questa App ci siamo posti l’obiettivo di potenziare l’attrattività e l’identità storica della Regione Lazio, puntando su obiettivi poco scontati e che spesso, visto le bellezze del territorio, vengono trattati marginalmente.

TELA lavora alle porte di Roma, nel Comune di Fiumicino, in zone ben collegate alla città tramite un’articolata rete d’infrastrutture. Le aree sono state selezionate, tramite un’attenta valutazione, che teneva conto sia del pregio delle zone dal punto di vista paesaggistico, sia della disponibilità di acquisire i dati necessari per effettuare le ricostruzioni e per ultima la facile fruibilità, così da poter permettere all’utente un accesso agevole al luogo, per poter vivere una piena esperienza tramite AR.

Castel di Guido, Aranova, Torrimpietra e Maccarese sono i siti archeologici da noi presi in considerazione per svariate motivazioni: siti con importanti evidenze d’epoca romana e tardo antica, ricchi di dati bibliografici sul contesto paesaggistico, presenza di ampia cartografia che spazia in varie epoche storiche. Per tutti questi motivi ci sono sembrati i luoghi più idonei per intraprendere questo viaggio spazio-tempo tramite le ricostruzioni diacroniche del paesaggio.

Con TELA siamo riusciti a realizzare la ricostruzione di due fasi temporali per sito, con una visione a 360 gradi, con la possibilità di usare la realtà aumentata da più punti di vista rispetto alle aree d’interesse.

TELA è un’App che non solo ricostruisce il paesaggio dal punto di vista storico, ma permette anche di approfondire la morfologia del territorio (in particolar modo quella vegetale), nelle svariate epoche storiche, descrivendo l’armatura paesaggistica del paesaggio laziale.

Ed è proprio a tutela della tipicità e dei caratteri peculiari del territorio – su cui poggiano l’economia locale e il turismo, che TELA può affiancarsi a strumenti già esistenti e contribuire a diffondere tra un più vasto pubblico di utilizzatori, la conoscenza degli elementi compositivi del paesaggio che quotidianamente viviamo. the TELA goal is to make visible for all to see the invisible, then give the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the territory, giving back to the places of their historical identity, through a global vision of what an area is and has been, in different historical periods.

Through reconstructions, using the AR (Augmented Reality), TELA manages to narrate the transformations that took place, for man and nature work, so that the open spaces become the scene of a more conscious and sustainable tourist attendance.

TELA enhances cityscapes and countryside, even though they are external to Roma Capitale, but not for that reason deprived of historical heritage, adding capacity to do.

With this App we set ourselves the objective of enhancing the attractiveness and the historical identity of the Lazio Region, focusing on little goals and often discounted, given the beauty of the area, they are marginally treated.

TELA works at the gates of Rome, in the Municipality of Fiumicino, in well-connected areas of the city through a multifaceted network infrastructure. The areas have been selected, through a careful assessment, which took into account both the value of the areas from the landscape point of view, is the availability to acquire the data necessary to carry out the reconstruction and lastly the easy usability, so he can afford to 'user easy access to the place, to be able to live a full experience through AR.

Castel di Guido, Aranova, Maccarese and Torrimpietra are the archaeological sites we considered for several reasons: sites with important findings from the Roman period and Late Antiquity, the bibliographic data on the rich landscape, the presence of extensive mapping that spans various historical periods. For all these reasons we considered the most suitable places for this journey through space-time diachronic reconstructions of the landscape.

With TELA we were able to realize the reconstruction of two phases for the site, with a 360-degree view, with the possibility of using augmented reality from different points of view with respect to areas of interest.

CANVAS is an App that not only reconstructs the landscape from a historical point of view, but also can deepen the morphology of the territory (especially the vegetable), in different historical periods, describing the armor landscape of the Lazio countryside.

And it is precisely to protect the typicality and peculiar character of the territory - on which rest the local economy and tourism, which TELA can work alongside existing tools and help to spread among a wider audience of users, knowledge of compositional elements the landscape that we live every day.
