ICE - LifeAssyst (Emergency) for Android
Don't listen to the negative reviews, this is a great app. It does exactly what it claims and the app IS accessible when the screen is locked. With the trial version, you can only list three items in each category. The full version allows unlimited capabilities and costs only 99 cents the . It's very easy to use and is very handy for doctor's appointments since I don't like lugging medicine bottles around. You can even photograph and post your meds in the 'Medicines' category if you desire. UPDATE: Was good until all the updates. Now it's just intrusive. It just pops up at any time, even when it isn't supposed to. I've tried configuring the app, but to no avail. I can be in the middle of a Google search and there it is. Or I could be scrolling through my contacts list and there it is for no reason. I paid for the pro version, but I didn't sign up for all of this. I think I'll uninstall it.
Was looking for a replacement for my existing developer-neglected ICE app - liked this so much I even went back to the stock lock screen. Upgraded to the pro version straight away. Unfortunately the latest update has added Emergency Call, Emergency Message & Distress Alarm buttons to initial display - these seem to "pocket dial" and display even though I thought they were disabled in settings. This is so risky I've had to put a dummy emergency services number in place of 999/112. Will uninstall soon if this is not addressed... developers what were you thinking?
Thanks for including my idea of extra Doctors and Hospitals. Recommended to all I know has health problems. GREAT APP JUST DOES AS ADVERTISED NO PROBLEMS. Got a notice to say it had stopped. Found there was an Update installed ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED. Very good people to deal with understanding and helpful. Would recommend to all. Hint if you have a problem make sure you update first seems to always fix problems. Just did latest update love the new locked screen so much more obvious. Would prefer the Distress Alarm to just be an alarm not make calls. This could then be used is you had a fall on walkway or in shopping mall. Most people see you lying on ground think your drunk and wont help if there is an alarm going they would realise you needed help.
It is a very sleek looking app that is easy to use. It would be nice to add a privacy warning on the screen just prior to seeing my emergency information. Phone lost, stolen, missed placed, etc.
After trying several ICE apps I finally found this one that worked exactly as I wanted with the lock screen. The information limitation is a bit unusual as is the yearly fee. Personally, I would purchase the app if it unlocked the 3 limitation limit to a higher limit, but charging an annual fee for that capability is too much of a money grab without some sort of server backup/restore option which would be linked to my Google account.
Does not stay on lock screen. Useless
Great app. Does what it says. Makes it easy to give hospitals info.
Excellent app. Covers all the essentials. Only problem is the icon. If you use a screensaver such as a night clock it will layer itself over the top and obscure it. Will likely cause screen burn in as well. Hence only 4 stars until fixed.
I love this app. It covers everything i need. There is only one downside for me on my galaxy s5. It overrides my morning alarm so the emergency screen appears and alarm does not go off
Not bad but some issues. The app if the icon is enabled in the lock screen, will override the lock screen switching off in marshmallow on a Note 4. This drains battery and wears out the screen. It would be nice if it allowed the lock screen to switch off. Second as others have pointed out, it can't dial your emergency contacts. This is understandable; android security rules. But it doesn't tell you the dialling failed and you can't get the app to display the contact numbers instead. It would be an app I'd pay for if it resolved these issues as this had the potential to be the best ice app. But forced to go back to previous app because of these problems.
Thus was the best of this type of ICE app I've found. Sadly the lock screen icon no longer displays since arrival of Android Nougat
Tested and turns out calling my emergency contacts doesn't work. (Samsung A8 Android 6.0.1). Otherwise it would be a great app. Icon on lockscreen a bit too big to my taste.
This is the best only €1.90 for the upgrade
I think it's cool... Coz it gives me what I need..
Awesome
Best ice/medical id i have found. Great if someone found me unconscious or if i lose my phone they can just call my emergency contact off my lock screen. Love it! A "gps my location" tab and an "im ok" quick text would be a handy button if i was making suggestions.
Nice app! Only gripe is it won't make a call while phone is locked (for me). It also often keeps the icon on the screen even after unlocking. Ended up uninstalling it. Nexus 6/Android 7.1.1.
Simple and well designed app that allows you to post all of your emergency information but lacks any way to backup your profile data to transfer to a new phone or so you wouldn't have to retype everything if you have an issue with your phone. It would be nice to have the ability to import medication lists from Excel or Word.
App developer VERY helpful when I encountered problems with app !
Good app that covers the basics but is missing critical options. This app needs the ability to add another person with their own info, would like my wife's info available. Also needed is a tab for medical insurance. Different languages should be incorporated if traveling abroad so local first responders can read it. All of the above are available on other ICE apps, it should be on this as well. Fix these issues and it will be a 5 star app, the best. Right now it doesn't stand out against the others.
The best one I have tried so far - a simple widget in the lock screen is fantastic, can move the widget where you want it to, option to have it in notification bar or not (I prefer not) and contains all the info necessary! Fantastic app :-)
For some reason this app keeps opening up... FULL screen I have to manually close it VERY ANNOYING ...sorry must uninstall until I read that its fixed... because I do correction DID like tthe app a lot!
I have spent more money in similar paid app.. which is not so good as this. This app is awesome.. hope it will stay as free...
I chose this app because it said it the medical information could be accessed by EMTS when the screen is locked. It worked for about 3weeks then it stopped opening when I tapped app to revised the info. It is now 3 days later and no correction......
Important App that every Phone maker must pre-install in all units.
Like this a lot. Am urging family and friends to download. I'm probably going to upgrade to paid version.
One of the best I've used!
It's doing exactly how it's describes I'm glad it's on the lock screen
es muy bueno
Easy and simple
Great idea, especially nice being a biker giving piece of mind, also it has the best user interface of the apps that do this and I'll definitely share with others. Developers read their reviews and respond quickly and the annoying alerts now seem to be fixed (Well done & thanks!
Love the app, but you can only have one person. Can't add a second person.
Let's you provide a ton of medical information!
Good
The app worked fine at first. installed an update. Now it takes 3 swipes /finger scans on my S7 to unlock it. I have uninstalled, re-installed and uninstalled the app, and yet I still have the ice banner screen. So, to unlock my phone I need to press the home button, swipe up to dismiss the ice screen, press the home button again and manually enter my pin. Instead of just using the finger scanner. *update* Have successfully fixed the problem. Support was helpfully and quick.
Even of you don't need to share medical information, this app allows anyone who finds your phone, or you injured, to call up to 3 of your contacts without unlocking your phone. This should be standard equipment on locked phones.
After I disabled the led- and persistent notifications in the app permissions-menu the app became what I needed. Namely: a way to reach ICE contacts. TIP: Long press the persistent notification and tap on the (i) icon. It takes you to the aforementioned app permissions menu, where you can select 'disable all notifications from this app' (or something similar). It stops everything about which everybody is complaining. :)
I like that it leaves an icon on the lock screen that can be tapped to get medical and emergency info but if has a tendency to leave my screen lit up even when locked and drains my battery.
Best ICE App to use. We can able enter more info then any other ICE App available in the market. New Feature like add multiple Doctors & Hospitals directly from the contact list is make the App more professional.

Great app for someone like me with a rare disorder so the docs know how to treat me
