Dockside Reading

A fantastic new app to help build confidence and motivate even the most 'switched-off' beginner or catch-up reader (suitable for ages 9+).

The app features 10 high-interest, low-ability reading books, starring a range of strong characters from the award-winning reading intervention scheme Dockside published by Rising Stars.

Dockside provides a unique approach to reading intervention with graphic images and edgy stories that are brought to life within the app.

Ideal for classroom or home use:
• Features 10 books from Dockside reading intervention programme
• Each book has 200-300 words
• Option to choose from ‘Read to Me’ or ‘Read by Myself’
• Tap key words to hear pronunciation
• Age-appropriate storylines, illustrations and language
• For pupils age 9+ with a reading age of 6.5 – 7 years

Dockside is published by Rising Stars in association with NASEN (National Association of Special Educational Needs) and was awarded Special Educational Needs Resource of the Year 2012.
