Just constantly searches for network even when connected. Why does iphone always get the support and most android versions are crap

Xs/Xsv series - works great! Chart/Planning and Autopilot/Sonar/Radar/FusionLink/Video/etc. All OK, it's just a matter of a wireless signal quality . Connect an MFD to a network gateway - 1) coverage/speed will increase 2) you won't lose Internet connection :)

I want to go back to before the update that made all my devices useless. I also want to shut off auto update for this app, at least untill you get it fixed. Before that update I thought the 741xs was the cats meow, if you asked me now, im considering other option's. So where do I find the updates from before it quit making me happy or useless? Before youd have got 5 stars

Latest firmware on a 721xs (version 6.30). Tested Garmin Helm on a OnePlus One phone and a Galaxy Tab S2. Unusable on both. Just a small static display on the OnePlus One and a grayish rectangle on the Tab S2, also static. It seems to work just fine on my iPad...

I installed this waste of time on 3 different devices, all of which are up to date. It doesn't do anything at all except show a small unreadable image of the Garmin display. The tech support is completely useless, they ask if you have up to date software, then nothing, a week later the same question from some other douchebag. COMPLETELY USELESS, DON'T EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO USE IT

After buying the Garmin 741xs because this allowed me to control it from the cockpit with either a tablet or phone, the app broke and has not worked in months. With the first app update, the tablet stopped working and with the last update, I can no longer control it with my phone and only get a small display of the 741xs that only uses a quarter of the screen and cannot be controlled from the phone. Please fix the android app!

Worked at fist on my galaxy S5, now it only shows up at 1/4 size on the phone and is locked. Will not work on my Samsung Galaxy tablet. Very disappointed.

Running Android 5.0 this app works well. There is only a small delay on wifi. It took less than 2 minutes to setup. It's like having a second screen. Connected Fusion Stereo to Garmin (NMEA) and now don't need fusion remote.

Very limited in the instruments that it interfaces with. I have a new Echmap 50dv and it would seem that the WiFi function is pretty useless. It doesn't work with Helm nor will my Android phone talk to it. Garmin offer up BlueChart Mobile as a panacea but that only seems to be available for Apple products. I kinda wish I knew about this prior to purchase

Very disappointed. The IPhone version allows you to record what you see on the screen to the phone. The Android version does not. Why is the Android version crippled????? That's the main reason I wanted the App!

Was having issues with the app. It was stuck on searching networks for devices yet I was connected to the network the device generates. I thought to try updating the firmware on my father's GPSMAPS 547xs by downloading the latest updates from Garmin to a microSD cards and popping it in the unit. Once the firmware installed the app instantly recognized the unit. Works awesomely!

It works as it's supposed to. I use it to plot a course while my father is driving the boat. I'm out of his, way he's out of mine.

Does exactly what it says. Easy to use and total control of my chartplotter from my phone. Great app

This app did not work on my Samsung S5 I installed it but could not open it. Did not work at all. For the Androids Navionics is king. Sorry Garmin but is how it is.

Works great as a remote although I don't really see how it helps. if you could view the app in landscape it would work great as an additional portable screen for the boat.

This app doesn't work with a Garmin ecomap 50s. I think it's kind of crappy that Garmin advertises that you can use the Wi-Fi with an android phone but it doesn't work you have to use an iPhone. My unit is brand new and I updated it with the latest software before trying this.

works seamlessly if you follow the simple instructions. would be great to directly control the reactor autopilot as well.

This app just allows you to view your chartplotter screen and control your chartplotter from a remote location. It does require the most recent software (May 2015 on my 741xs). I wish it had more functionality such as being able to create a route on shore and uploading when get to boat, but it was not designed to do that. Used with Samsung Tablet

This is exactly what I want for my boat - wont work with my droid turbo. Connects to the device (recent firmware from garmin on 50dv) but just sits and spins. . . Same on my LG G Pad. Cmon please fix!!!

Doesn't work

I have an echomap 50s with firmware 4.2, Helm 1.2 on Samsung Note 10.1 with newer OS. Network on echoMap is configured and seen be my tablet and attached. When Helm is run, it gets to the searching for devices screen and never leaves.

What a waist of my time. Did not work, hope they are reading these reviews. News flash, there is a huge android market out here.

App works great if you're having trouble linking to your unit make sure your unit has the proper software update free from Garmins website and wifi turned on.
