About CANINE

Garmin Canine mobile app works with the Delta Smart dog training device to help you maintain a healthy and happy relationship with your dog.

Features:
• Monitor your dog’s activity while at home or receive up-to-date stats when you get home. Know how often your dog was barking, at what time and the correction level; plus monitor if and when she triggered a Keep Away Tag.

• Use your Android phone as a Training Remote: Control all corrective actions, including tone, vibration, and stimulation with incremental levels. Later, view a recap of the training session.

• Keep Away Tags: Configure settings for automatic corrections that will activate when your dog is in close proximity to the tag. Then, view recorded data and see what sensor he was too close to.

• Manage multiple dogs: Create individual profiles and training settings for multiple dogs.

Do not buy this ecollar. Buy one with an actual remote. This app is constantly failing me and disconnecting from the collar. For the money this product cost, you would say least exect it to work properly. Reason for 2 stars is because when it actually feels like connecting and staying connected it does work well then. But the connection issues just aren't worth the headaches.

I wouldn't really know if I like this app, because I can never get the Canine app on my Android phone to connect over Bluetooth to the Delta Smart collar. Garmin really needs to work on compatibility between the Delta Smart collar and Android phones running the Android app. Maybe they just test Bluetooth compatibility for Apple devices with the iOS app. I have a new Moto X smartphone running Android 6.0 and I've updated the firmware on the Delta Smart collar to the latest version. They still won't pair, which makes the Canine app useless.

Seems to have a hard time connecting consistently. Also, it would be nice to be able to force a synch when I want the latest barking data.

Looks really cool and keeps track of my dogs barking habits while I'm out.

I love the collar to stop unwanted barking, but this app sucks spook bad. It never connects to my dogs. Reset it many times and it connects. Try again in a few mins and nope.

I simultaneously train 2 dogs but the app only permits on dog to be trained. If dog As panel is showing and dog B needs correction you must first close dog A, open dog B, wait for it to connect. By then the correction opportunity is over. It seems the app could be modified to allow at least two panels to be open and two dogs connected simultaneously.

The app works great. I have used ecollars for years and always test the stimulation level on myself before using on my dogs. It does not hurt, it is just uncomfortable. The default correction is tone, but you can select vibrate or stim. Most dogs can be trained in about a week to to respond to tone or vibrate. You need never use stim unless you have a stubborn dog. I'm happy it's there though, as my well behaved dogs respond to nothing else once they have caught a bunny. This product saves bunnies lives.

I am disgusted that this app exists, the sheer idiocy of hurting dogs in this way, and the thoughtlessness of Garmin in pushing this product. Count me out. Deleting my account, and removing Garmin from my life. Shame on you all.

Yeah for the sociopath that has everything. Now you can abuse you dogs on the go. Great job Garmin. Google maps made you obsolete now you're trying to break into the animal torture market...not much competition there.
