About Red Roses
Red Roses shows one single rose bush that was bought 15 years ago (from Aldi).
It was a small plant.
Look at it now !
Red Roses offers pictures for pleasure.
You can progress thru the pictures with the "Quality" button. There are 7 pictures - one per day of the week if you like.
More pictures are available if there is demand.
You leave a picture with your device's back button. The app remembers which was the last picture you looked at and offers you the next.
The "All" button permits you to scan over all the pictures at once in a preview.
Automatic wallpaper: You can set the pictures to wallpaper automatically - for example hourly changes, or set automaticlly the picture you just looked at, or set to change at midnight so that you have a new background picture in the morning.
You can copy the Quality pictures to the Google standard photo app (Gallery).
There you can process them, for example expanding them to see detail, or making a new, sometimes better, picture by cropping. The pictures are living, "as is", photos with much detail. Each is around 3 MB in size.
To copy a picture, long-touch it, and press the button "Save picture to disk", or, to save to wallpaper too, press "Set to Wallpaper and disk".
At the same time that GardenApp stores your picture to Gallery it also stores it to the directory PicturesGardenApp in your external storage. You can access your pictures there via a USB cable to a computer.
The transfer to Gallery is to a standard Android destination and thus is expected to function for other Apps that take the place of Gallery. If anyone can test this, please let the author know.

Data:
GardenApp Red Roses was built on an Android telephone, Telekom Huawei U8600, with Android version 2.3.5 and an Internal Storage of 160 MBytes.
When the user presses, in the photo, the long-touch button "Save picture to disk", the transfer of the garden picture to Gallery takes some 20 seconds on this phone, and accessing the picture afterwards within Gallery takes several seconds until the picture is sharp. These times are device-dependent. The telephone is relatively old and small.
The long-touch button "Set to Wallpaper and Gallery" sets - unlike the other wallpaper options - the full-quality photo to wallpaper. The other options work with less data, as does also the preview.
When the user downloads the App from the store, some 25 MBytes are transferred, mostly to external storage. 2.4 MBytes go to Internal Storage. Thus the App lies well within the maximum size of 50 MBytes.
Devices supported: 9472
If anyone has a set of photographs they would like to publish in a similar way the author can help set that up. This might be for industrial documents, for another garden, or stables, an estate, a walk ... .
