Garageio: Automate your Garage for Android
v3.1.149 stopped working with fingerprint access. Now when I open the app, it shows a partial screen load then freezes. I can't access any settings and have to hit the phone's home button to leave the app. Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 6.0.1
Was working great until I turned on the fingerprint feature. Now when it loads, all I get is a blank white screen where my garage door once was. Can't even access the settings. Have to force close the app. :(
Glad to see they're stepping up their security
Work fine for me. A life saver
Love the new IFTTT integration!
Generally works as advertised. The update is nice, but I don't really see new useful features. It would be really nice if we could set notification timings, or times to just not be notified (i.e. During the day. I want to leave my garage door open during the day sometimes without being henpecked by Garageio.)
The app takes forever to detect my garage and crashes often on a Nexus 6p. Please fix and increase response and reliability .
I get no alerts even though they ate turned on. App will not let me turn alerts on/off - no response on touch. If I learnt open too long it crashes
Constantly crashing. Still, worked all right until dad was locked out for 5hrs after his app updated to the most recent version. Tried restarting phone, reinstalling app to no avail. All he gets is a blank white space for the My Doors tab. Not even a pw prompt after reinstalling. No fix in sight. No phone number to call. Want to be inconvenienced regularly and or get locked out? Buy this product.
Love the new version! Is very reliable. The main features I like are the alerts if I left my door open, and the ability to see all activity from my phone instead of needing to go to the website. You can also manage users in the app.
Can't clear notificatin count on app icon in android 6.0.1. Clearing all phone notifications will clear the most recent count, but it has old ones that never clear and the count just keeps growing. Otherwise the app works ok.
Finally added the features I've been asking for since launch. Now it finally deserves 5 stars.
Finally have the log of opening and closing like on the website. Tough to get to see in app though. Need last-checked time stamp on main page showing door to feel confident in log and knowing the true status of the door. Then you get my give stars.
Next to my Nest products this is the best purchase I have made for my house. I love it!
The app will let you open and close the doors. It will also tell you if the door is open or closed. That's it. It won't let you stop the door once activated. You have to wait until the cycle ends before changing direction. There's no stopping it mid way. It also won't activate the light. I've noticed if I leave the app open on my phone when I go back to it a couple hours later it says "Unfortunately Garageio has stopped". If I close it right after using it this is not a problem. Samsung Galaxy S6
This app crashes frequently. 40 crashes in 1 week. Android is recommending that i uninstall this. When it doesn't crash it opens and closes the garage door ok. Also gives false alarms that the door is still open. Disappointed.
Crashes often and keep having to login to the app. Very unreliable. With the latest version I now get lots of door open alerts even though the door is closed. Every update brings new problems with no fixes for old problems.
Like others, it has problems signing in at spots where the network signal is weak, like outside the garage. Rather than switch to cellular signal, it just takes you to the login screen...and it doesn't remember your password. It's been a problem for months. Making me crazy. Simply can't recommend.
Occasional incorrect feedback of the actual door status in the GUI. Status issue fixed if the app is killed and restarted. Android app crashes on the initial launch almost every time. Have to launch a second time to actually control the door. This is a huge bug that should have been addressed long ago. The hardware itself is so far has been exceptional and very easy to setup - no issues there.
Sweet app. Let's me know if my door is open it closed...integrates well with IFTTT.
App works perfectly but has a serious flaw, it keeps forgetting your password. Please link the app to your Google+ account or have it remember the password it gets super annoying to have to type it in every time you want to open the garage.
Could you some functionality bells and whistles but overall a great product and a great app
Crashes a lot. Otherwise great!
It works perfectly, and i love that the doors actually open like a garage!
No complaints!
Cannot determine current status of door reliably enough; need to physically see the door before determining if action is needed. Cannot see log of opening and closing like on the website.
Installation was simple. The app works great. I would like to see tablet version, but I have the same suggestion for many apps. A tablet version must be more difficult than I imagine.
Works, but not as expected. You can log into the app to see if the garage door is open or closed. Also works to swipe open or close. But there are not enough notification options to change how soon you want to be notified in the event the garage door is left open. Notifications not 100% reliable. EDIT: Decreased a star because of poor customer service and response times.

I waited months for the update…hoping for improved features. I was disappointed. The notification feature is still virtually useless. It takes a good half hour or longer before the notification comes. Compare this to the Chamberlain (a competitor) that I helped my son install at his house. He gets instant notification. This app is a whole lot of broken promises. So many months, so little improvement.
This is an excellent product. I love it. I wish more people would download it.
It works as expected. Can't manage users on app. Wish I had the option to add a button in addition to the swiping action. Wish to add option to choose after how many minutes to notify me of my door being left open, and then option to automatically close for me. That's what I feel are basic needs that should be added. Great product anyhow, thanks!
Garageio app works as it should. I would have to say there is some sensitivity issues for some reason swiping across to the other doors appears to trigger them to open. Some customization of notification and adding users via the app would be helpful. The sounds within the app are not silenced by my nexus' silent mode.
Works well with no major complaints. Could use some more features though like notification configuration (time of day, day of week, duration, etc) and user management.
It works as expected, with only a little delay. Still there is much that can be improved. Sometimes my swipe to open was not registered by the app, I have no confirmation of my swipe. Not sure why I feared the MyQ product -- mostly some negative reviews on Amazon that were incorrect, I guess -- but Garageio is not ready. The app did not open the garage. The app doesn't have instant-notification features when the door is open or configurable timer notifications. MyQ has all that. And it worked. I tried to work with Garageio but after so many months of waiting for support, nothing.
Occasional incorrect feedback of the actual door status in the GUI. Status issue fixed if the app is killed and restarted. Sometimes slow response to user input (swipe up or down will not make any sounds or vibrations for 5 or more seconds so user thinks that the event didn't take). This results in the user opening or closing the door several times on reattempts. Once the app responds to the input the feedback starts for all of the attempts one after another. No push notifications or way to setup "open too long" time in the app or online - hopefully that is coming soon. The hardware itself is so far has been exceptional and very easy to setup - no issues there.
The app works well for controlling the Garageio. However, it really needs some more features. You need to be able to see the history, get alerts, add users, etc. For now, all you can do is open/close. I realize that's the point, but the additional features would add significantly to the app.
Next to my Nest products this is the best purchase I have made for my house. I love it!

The Garageio system is great. The ease of opening and closing a garage remotely, combined with the endless possibilities of IFTTT, is pretty awesome! The issues are: the alerts. There is no easy way to clear them within the app. One can not stop the door midway to let air in. The slide up and down to close is a neat animation, but a preference for simple up or down push buttons would be a great option. I've rated the app low because it depends heavily on the IFTTT to subsidize the app's pitfalls.
