I was directed to the app from the website of the Ft Myers newspaper. But during the setup of the app Ft Myers isn't an option. Uninstalling without ever getting to use it.

This app is truly garbage. I downloaded it as a paying subscriber to The News Press. I was excited about the opportunity to read the "paper" while on the go as it met my needs. This app literally crashes 99 times out of 100 if not more. Seriously, it either crashes as soon as you open it or it crashes it as soon as you can read the headline. The app also sends you breaking news alerts, only problem is the alerts are not breaking by the time you receive the alert and then you get a string of alerts, none updated and current and EVERY SINGLE one then crashes as soon as you open it. I gave this a chance, sent in user reports when it crashed and finally DELETED this app as the piece of garbage it is. Totally disappointed that I pay almost $20 a month for a subscription and then I can't read my paper the way I want to. So am looking for a better news app and then I will cancel my subscription since it isn't worth a thing. If there was an option for ZERO starts or negative starts that is all this app is worth.

The app is extremely unstable and constantly crashes. To add insult to injury the news is old and not updated regularly. For this privilege you must pay for a subscription. There are other more stable news feeds for the area that are free.

Has frozen up repeatedly since day one. Keep reporting it and nothing gets fixed. Basically useless. Also get notifications about something going on and then absolutely nothing is posted. Either fix this poor excuse for an app or discontinue it.

Very few new articles. Sorry but it was time to drop the paper and its apps. $25 a month is nuts. Much better news with the local outlets and NDN. Ads in apps when you are a subscriber is annoying. No benefit for the cost and when we went to cancel they didn't care that we had subscribed for around a decade. RIP NP.
