My main issue with the app is that even though I have selected I want notifications for only 'Breaking News', I get push notifications for Andreatta's OPINION column and nearly anything that gets posted to the app. Most of this is not important BREAKING news - please fix how your articles are categorized for a better rating.

I enjoy the breaking news that appears on the site. Keeps me informed with articles before they appear in print.

Doesnt run on my Asus tablet. Cancelled my print edition because it is too costly and went to e-edition. Now I have nothing. Big fat ZERO

Just updated the app and all it does is just crash and boots you off the screen. Not all updates are created equal. This one sucks.

Just tried app again with updates and still have same issues. I can log in on website but app will not let me log in. What a wasted feature of digital subscription

Not all links work even after closing out all running apps on my phone and re-opening just this one app. It's unfortunately easier to just use the website which seems more tedious than a fully functional app would be.

It's a great app that lets me know what is going on in Rochester.

Latest update does not open Galaxy Tab 2

Doesn't display some photos in news feed on Samsung S5.

I like the local news coverage but would like to see more. Ads aren't too bad; you can swipe past them. I really like the breaking news updates. They're timely and usually beat other media apps.

As the title states after the most recent update I can no longer even open the application and thus it no longer has any use for me. Pity because I preferred getting my local news here.

No provision for comments

Why isn't there a search feature on the updated app? Or at least one easy to find. I have a print subscription and I often like to share stories I see on social media. How can I do this when I can't find them in the app?

Have never had a problem with this App. I enjoy the digital edition every day

App down fall

I like the app- but more frequently, it seems to lock up and prevent me from viewing an article after it has been opened, or the app crashes and shuts down. This is infrequent enough to be an annoyance, but seems to be happening more often now...

Please make more evident.

When you open the app you get an ad.

Where are the comics and word jumble ? Needs a lot of work to work for everyone.

Great app

No newspaper mode. Articles cut off by ads! Generally useless.

Overall a decent way to get a peak at current headlines. I like that it is updated throughout the day. However, there are frequently story links that do not function properly and crash the app. I tend towards my mobile browser instead of the app to avoid the frustration.

I live 1200 miles from "home" and greatly enjoy the D&C to help keep me up to date on what's happening in my old stomping area! I use a "Razor HD" & "Ellipsis 8".

All the local news I need to see.

I pay for a subscription so I want this app to be ad free. If I have to see ads then I won't keep my subscription. Ads are for the printed Sunday edition of the paper I recieve.

D and C mobile app is terrible

No ability to search for articles. The only thing you can read is what the D&C thinks is important. There is no way to browse the paper as you can with the site for desktops.

Each time you close a story it annoyingly returns you to the top of the story list instead of where you left off. FIX IT! It also has a tendency to 'stop' more than any other app I'm using. Also, no way to search for articles. Access is full with a paid subscription; while the app is free, full access is not, so it should be better than this. Unacceptable.

Being a rochestarian I would like this to be a FREE APP ! I don't want to subscribe to the D&C to get the app.

I've had this app free for over a year now. All of a sudden I get a trial countdown and now I have to pay $13 a month? Absolutely not....you'll lose more customers this way.

What good is it if you can't search.

If you want to look at what's on the menu, great. Of not, you're out of luck. There isn't even a search function. Exceptionally lame.

It's all good ROC news but you need to fix the scrolling issue with the pages jumping to the top every time you exit an article.

Constantly get messages that the app has suddenly stopped working while I am using other apps. Combine the poor app quality with the poor customer service at Gannett and the subscription cost? It was enough for me to cancel service entirely. There are many other ways to get news that are more current, more accurate, less expensive and less aggravating.

How many times do I have to login before I get all the content? What's the sense of this app if you block all the features?

This is a great app! Easy to use including offline. Nice look and feel even on basic device.
