The News Journal for Android
1) Frequently throws me for a loop when I click into a news story and am faced with a video that has nothing to do with the story, having to scroll down to get to the story. Come on developers - suggested alternative videos should follow the story. 2) Clearing one News Journal notification results in all of them disappearing. 3) Otherwise, love it! Hence still four stars despite the above issues.
Less video, more real news. Youve made changes but frustrations continue.
Did does explain the problems and plays to support .
There is to much about sports on the page and not enough news
Its the best news app since l am from delaware.
Need a search function on first page.

Can't get enewspaper with this app.
You can set it up for traffic alerts, but you'll never get them. The people who work for this newspaper are just corporate lemmings, not actual journalists. I would never pay for this. There's plenty of free DE news sources.
I wanted Delaware news, this didn't have it.

1 or 2 pages load then I have to logout and back in for any more to load. Password always needs to be reset but takes resetting 3 or 4 times before I can get back in. Same content all week. WDEL is a better (only slightly) choice.
Trash. Article content won't load half the time without closing & reopening the app. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get log in to accept my password.

Excellent format
Does what it's intended to do. Couple of bugs. Like notifications but can't turn off sound. Just want visual notifications. Also I save an article and next day it has disappeared.
The update from today precludes the app from opening. It force closes itself on every attempt. Android app still not working.

I wish there was a way to read just today's paper. The 3 articles on the FRONT PAGE of the print edition are nowhere to be found on the app!!! Oh, you saw an article in Monday Life (print) that you wanted to read later? Good luck finding it (online)! There are way too many old articles clogging it up. Give us a virtual newspaper option! Where there is an image of today's paper, and you just click the article to read it. It's 2016! So frustrating.
In this day and age you should not pay for news especially local news. Makes no sense when soo many other apps have free news. NEWS SHOULD BE FREE. What poor people don't deserve to know what's going on. SMH.

It doesn't allow me to Log in no matter how many times I change my Password... App is garbage and should be trashed, I would end my subscription, but it works on my Computer....

Despite repeated requests to the IT Department, they refuse to acknowledge or fix the navigation within the Obituary section. Every time one hits the "back" button to return to the list of obituaries, one is taken out of the Obituary section altogether. It is so frustrating!!! News Journal ...if you are reading this, please address the issue. I was told by your company that "you can't please everyone"; however, I am not the only person with this same complaint. This was never an issue before the "update". Your own website declares that it "listens to your feedback" ...NOT SO!
