Compass PRO for Android
A useful, good looking, simple, easy to use Compass app. Worth buying the Pro version to remove the ads.
Smooth and professional. Checked it against the pole star and it seems quite accurate. No-brainer for $2.
As a BSA leader for over 12 years, I wish I had this 20 years ago!
Just what I needed. Simple and accurate.
I can't wait to hike and test it out
Nice and simple, accurate, design is great feels like real

Great app. Familiar face.
Nice looking compass app, simple and effective....perfect!
Does the job well
Just what I needed.
Cool compass!
Good
Very nice
Works good
Love it.
An easy to use compass, not overly complex. This is a well-spent $2.00 as I got exactly what I was looking for. Driving on an overcast day, or night, in an unfamiliar area this app does the deed. I checked against a handheld military compass and it was spot on. A good buy for its price and utility.
I have also tried a variety of different apps, compasses being no different. This one really compliments my Android 5.1.1. No Ads! I always look for apps with no ads. This app is very simple, elegant and STABLE. I see a few unhappy campers.in here, and would suggest looking for apps that are APPropriate for their device. I have tossed a multitude of disappointing apps. I'll keep this one! Thanks!
The damping factor is good. I would like to have a debounced button for bezel locking. Apps can imitate the physical devices but bezels are high friction, not turned by an accidental nearby finger read.
Have tried many with tons of useless features. This compass is accurate and visually attractive with a rotatating bezel to set a presise course. Would like to see a few setting customizations.
only compass i have seen with South marked 0 degrees ? its an upside down compass. Rubbish app
This seems like a fair simulation of a physical compass. I would like to have a Settings option, perhaps to change the colors scheme, but particularly a Help or Instructions availability. Also, I would like to have the option to set North to be 0 degrees instead of 180 degrees. (I'm talking about on the card; the displayed digital heading is this way)
I bought this app for its utility and ad-freeness. As a casual weekend camper, it's just what I need, and I don't need a separate mechanical compass as long as the phone stays charged. Perfect
I use a compass app a lot and have tried/tested numerous mobile apps of this type, both paid and free. This is the best in my opinion and highly recommend. The only difference between paid and free are the ads, but for my personal preference I recommend the paid ad free version. It's the cleanest, most usable interface available at a very reasonable price. Enjoy this app, highly recommended.
Does what it was designed to do. And for good measure, did not throw advertising garbage in your view. Thanks !!!
Although not imitating a prismatic compass, it is as good as any flat one.
The compass is exelent
Absolute rubbish..... calibration does not work. Not fit for purpose.
A hell of an app. It's crazy how the magnetic field works. I didn't think it would change when I put it against my stove. Thanks guys. I will still carry a real compass though, hey batteries don't last forever right
You put a lot of work into this app, good job. Could never get lost.
I've spent a lot of time under water using the same compass. Always got me to and from. I feel safe and confident using this app.
Clean, attractive design, and accurate. What more do you want?
It works for me. I love the graphics and the ease of use. It's a really nice and useful tool to have.
Looks very nice with the info you need and not a bunch of stuff you don't

What makes a good app isn't a bunch of complicated extra stuff. A good app is one that does what it's supposed to do. This one does. I checked it against a real life orienteering compass and a USGS topographical map. Needle on app lines up perfectly with magnetic North, as it should (16 1/2 degrees declination to the right, due to the fact that our planet is not on perfect axis with the North star (Polaris) by exactly 16 1/2 degrees. What the needle of a compass points to is a large iron deposit in the crust of the North pole which shifts a little bit every year so it changes which means it doesn't stay at 16 1/2 degrees. But for practical purposes you can assume that magnetic North is more or less 16 1/2 degrees to the right of true North...I'm not making this up. Look it up. Anyways, what I'm saying is this compass lines up with magnetic North as it should.
