Chinese in Flow

This would be a great app if only it did not have such a short time for you to select the right answer. It does not take into consideration that people with eyesight issues, or other challenges, could be using this. It would be great if you could change the speed that way you could also see how you have improved or just stay at a speed good for you.

So helpful for learning to recognize characters and their meanings! As someone mentioned, it would be great if the user could pick multiple sets of 30 to practice/review all together, to help cement what we've gone over. Thanks!

Super fast and fun way to learn Mandarin characters. Extraordinarily effective. I prefer it over Skritter and remembr.it. I'm getting my grandsons onto it. I really can't emphasise enough just how rapidly you can learn characters! For best results create a little story/mnemonic for each character. For instance, the character for 'buy' (mai3) looks like a little guy rushing off urgently to buy something.

I love this app with a complaint, the sudden death doesn't allow to read even all the options. Hope developer will take care of this issue. For now it going to uninstall it.

This app is awesome. I've been looking for an app that doesn't show the characters and the pinying together so I can learn to recognise them without it and this app does that perfectly. Thanks!

Finally an app that lets you practices the characters without mucking around having to write. Nobody needs to know how to write Chinese these days =)

Lovely app. Simple but effective and can be used on several levels. Simple character recognition, and also sound recognition. I would like it to show the character strokes as well, but that's just being picky!

Very helpful app to get familiar with Chinese characters, and lets you test yourself when you're ready. The sudden death mode is a bit too quick though ????

Fantastic app with large library of characters. Only way it could be improved would be to have the ability to add characters you struggle with to a new list for review.

Great app for learning HSK. Very effective. Suggestions for improvement would be to have settings to vary allowable time during practice and for app to remember settings​ rather than to require changing them at start of every module. Love this app though- by far it's my favorite of the array I have experimented with!

Excellent.. easy to use. Instant feed back. Never get bored because there So many sets and levels.

Great app to learn simplified char and Mandarin pronunciation. Should be 6 or 7 stars! I have sampled a few other hsk apps and this is still my goto app. Learning and review modes are excellent. Only wish copy function is available. I believe its using the old hsk syllabus but not a show stopper. Really simple and has helped my learning tremendously. I've finished level 2 and in level 3 now. Maybe should include Cantonese audio :-). Hope level 4 audio will be available when I finish level 3. Thanks for this excellent app !谢谢

This is a great app for learning to recognize Chinese characters along with their meaning and sound. I've only done the first few lessons, but it looks like if you go through the whole app it covers 2500 words! I am so excited to learn to read Chinese with this app.

Fantastic app. I wish it would show you the correct answer when you get it wrong in the instant death phase. Otherwise superb.

I'm a beginner. Best app so far, for learning the characters????. I've now found i can complete the Practice section without fully remembering the characters????. If you could reverse it (characters above and meaning below) that might help.

Good app. I'd like to see an option for while learning to speak the word after you select the correct answer though. I like to hear the word but if I hear it I know what it is.

It is not only an app to teach characters but also a new way to learn them. Very helpful. Can't wait for the sound adding for the rest of the levels. Thank you very much.

I really loved the timed drills. They put you on the spot enough so that learning in that state of mind really makes things stick.

I miss traditional characters. Are there plans on adding them? If there was such an option, this app could become a hit very quickly.

The sudden death does not give you enough time. I usually get to 45 out of 60 at the most.

I find this indispensable and a wonderful tool towards growing my vocabulary. Wish there were more to it. But sometimes down and dirty less glitter pizzaz is wll you need.

The app looks good so far. My only wish would be to have the option for traditional Chinese characters.

As a beginner it does not give me enough time to review and suddenly it is 'time over'. Otherwise a great app!!!

It serves it's purpose well for reviewing and learning new characters. I hope they upgrade to have HSK6 and change the old style

I like that it doesn't waste time on writing characters. Now that everything is digital you just need the pinyin and tone
