Yoga Studio for Android
This is the best yoga app without a doubt. The cost is cheap compared to others. It's a one off payment and they add content for free after you pay. Some content I would like to see is the option to add a warm up before each session. For example, I have this on my iPad which has a new Earth Salutation for the evening but I feel I am stretching cold muscles when I do it. The morning one does warm me up a little. It's not a good idea to stretch cold muscles. However, this is still a 5 star app!
Love this yoga app! Best by far! It's totally free and there are dozens of videos ranging from 15 minutes to an hour and it also includes a few sun salutations and light stretching. It's so calming and I love that you can build up to more advanced moves. You can also put together your own flow! Great for a beginner who is interested in doing yoga but doesn't know where to start. Can't say enough good things about this app!
I first fell in love with this app when I still had an iPhone. Now that I have an android I asked them to please create an app for the android market. The pre-made classes are fantastic with different levels of experience and different focus areas that appeal to any yogi, beginner or advanced. They take it a step further by allowing you to create your own class to meet your own needs. You can add poses you want to work on in a sequence that you create entirely with your own preference. I absolutely love it
I don't leave reviews for apps often, but after about four months with this yoga app, I couldn't resist. I'm a little overweight and was looking for a natural way to strengthen my body. The flexibility classes have had an incredible effect on me. Yoga isn't a weightloss tool in and of itself but paired with some running and healthy eating, it WILL change you! I feel GOOD at the end of the day. I run, I eat carefully and healthily, and I finish with 30 minutes of yoga. I can't recommend this app enough.
I loved this app on Apple devices (and now have bought it on Apple and my Android). However, there's no way to sync between devices. Also, it won't let me move the app to my SD card (which has more than enough space), such means any download will take a lot of space on my device. Can you guys fix this so we can move it to SD? Thanks!
I purchased this on my iPhone and then when I switched to Android purchased it again. More than happy and find it well worth it to have made the purchase twice. This is a much better app then the others out there. My one issue is the classes have been extremely slow to download on Android. On the same home network downloading the same classes on my iPhone went quickly. On my android it's taking triple the time to pull them down.
For 3.99 wow. 65 classes they are all amazing. The voice is nice and doesn't get old with very simple ambient music. You download them so no streaming issues. It's like buying 65 high quality movies at once. Especially the vocal cues are so good you don't always have to stare. Which helps me really relax and get into it. Can't recommend enough.
I love that it has chromecast support, but wish it integrated with Google fit so it would automatically enter my workouts there without me needing to. It also syncs with your calendar, but theres no syncing between devices. So it I set a workout schedule on my phone, there's nothing on my tablet. The workouts themselves are fine. The instructor isn't annoying and speaks very clearly.
I've tried other yoga apps before where the instructors voice made me uncomfortable... Gaiam did a good job not making me feel that way. Its amazing that 15 minute bursts of yoga can have such an impact (I'm a beginner). I only wish i could pause the video and come back to it after i close the app for a minute-- i typically have to find my place again manually.
No other Yoga app can give you all the features that this one has! Definitely worth the purchase. I've been doing it for two years, the same time I started weight watchers- and let me tell you! With eating better, making my mind and body stronger- I feel SO much better. Not to mention I have no more back pain, leg cramps, and I can run further than I ever have!
Well worth the price for the app in exchange for no ads/accounts. App has various classes in length and difficulty that you can download. Wanted to this out to stretch out my bad back. It is so nice to have structured classes to guide me through because I am a beginner. So easy to have yoga in your pocket that you can do anywhere. Now I stretch 2-3 times a day! Highly recommended.
Man i never would have tried yoga before, being a man and all... but then i started hearing these elite athletes in crossfit doing yoga and gymnastics and had to try it. Im not flexible at all is what i have learned. Classes are easy to follow and for me fun to do. I try twice a day, and am loving it. Only day three so i wont post anything about results until at least 2 weeks.
I really like the app, but I wish props were used in the classes labeled beginner. I still found some of the poses a bit difficult for beginner. And a run down of the sequence at a slower pace initially would be helpful for the true beginners as well. There is lots of variety at an excellent price. For that reason alone, this app is a great place to start!
I love the variety of classes. But I have only managed to see a couple of minutes in one of the classes. Most of time app freezes and i can't really do any of the sequences. I tried multiple times to restart app/ phone (close all other apps) but nothing has worked... Also in those 2m I managed to watch there was no narration (a problem for when I don't know the poses).
Scheduling classes glitches on me sometimes (when reminder comes, it just disappears from the schedule and the next day lesson becomes this day lesson); but I usually can remember what it was. I wish there was an option with playing music from external app (like Spotify), I have some playlists I would love to put on while working out; but otherwise it's great for the price. Oh, also would be cool if beginner classes would explain how to use props like yoga blocks, to ease out some poses.
I used this app on my iPhone and now I've switched to Android I'm glad the app is available and just as amazing. The sessions are really easy to follow for a beginner like me with great tips on posture during poses. It's nice and slow too so you don't feel rushed trying to get to the next pose. Not sure how it is for more advanced yogis but as a beginner I recommend it all the time to my friends.
The classes are perfect and very portable. However, the intermediate combination class I tried, sudenly closes (happened 2x)before it ends. It doesnt close smoothly... My ipad version, does perfectly! I love my ipad version. Now im using android. I dunno if there is an effect.
All the other yoga apps are horrible you have to keep selecting what move you wanna do theres no flow to em. This one has that, it has flow. Its very instructive for those who have never done yoga and a hell off a lot cheaper then a real yoga class. Plus woth the benefits of work out in the comfort of my own home. I love it i would five 10 stars if i could
What everyone else has said is true! I love the variety of poses, times and levels of fitness. I love the ease of use and the ability to download sessions into my device so I don't need to be online to use it. I don't usually rate apps either but I have been using this app everyday for weeks now and my strength, balance and flexibility are all improving. I just had to say something :)
I'm a teacher in AZ, so spending a ton of money on yoga classes isn't really an option most of the time, but this app has been pretty great at detailing yoga positions through videos for me wherever I want to get my yoga on. I'm primarily a runner (not a yoga enthusiast, to cheap) and I feel like I have never had great ending stretches until now. I love the pacing and all the leveled options. I already have my phone with me all the time so the convenience is wonderful as well. Affordable yoga, yes please!
It's an amazing app, well structured, well organized, several categories (running, back pain, flexibility, etc.) with different levels of difficulty. I never did any Yoga before this app, and as a beginner, it's perfect. The videos are so well done, the explanations are good and the voice and the ambiance is just perfect. The only thing lacking it's a better tracking system. For instance, it would be great to know how many time you did one class, when, maybe even a ranking system to push to be consistent.
Great routines and really like how I can customize them. My only issue is while a routine is running I don't get notifications and when I check I have to restart the routine and find my place. I should be focused on the routine anyways so it's not that big of a deal but sometimes I need to be available for work. Besides that the app is really good. I like being able to customize the background sounds and I like the look of the instructor on the white background.
Let me just say this app is worth the 3.99. I am in love.i have been practicing yoga for almost 2 years and have been looking for a good yoga app. I originally wanted a free app because money is tight in my house but every app i installed sucked. Then i found this. I was reluctant to purchase this because like i said money is tight but i bought it anyway and i am so glad i did!!!
I've only been using this app for a little over 2 weeks and I can already see a noticeable difference in how sore my lower back has been. I'm looking forward to using this app for the more advanced techniques. Great for a beginner like myself and super easy to follow Love it!!
I can't download. It says that cellular data is off and should be turned on... It is on as all other apps are working.. is there a setting I should change? It looks like a lovely app but cannot really rate until I am able to use it. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon
I used Yoga Studio on my iPhone a few years ago and was disappointed that this app wasn't available on Android back when I made the switch. They contacted me when the Android app was available and I jumped at the chance to use this beautiful app again. There is a range of pre-made classes available, and you can really control what type of routine you want and how long you want it to last. I just started using the function that allows you to create your own class, and I'm impressed. The flow is fantastic.
Loved this app on the apple store. Love it on Google too. Broke my back as a teenager, had issues for years. This app is easy to use and the classes are easy to follow. I give 5 stars to this app that helped me lose 80+ pounds, and helped my back get to where it was before it was broken. And with a new baby, it helps me to relax and get a break from the chaos that comes with it, using the meditation classes. Highly recommend spending the $4 for it!!
Bought this app when it was on offer. Very well designed and I like the Chromecast functionality. The instructor describes how to get into each position but occasionally doesn't and/or it's hard to hear so I end up looking at the screen a lot. I would buy it again though, worth paying for. There are no ads or further in app purchases (that I can see).
Love this app! Love the variety and different levels. The guidance is perfect and exactly what I needed. However you have to download the workouts on to your device. I wish I could stream them so it wouldn't take up device memory. Maybe theres a way to do that and I just haven't found it yet??? Anyways, awesome app. Better than any yoga video I've ever tried.
I really like the app, and use it. The custom classes have some glitches like resetting the times to the default after you have painstakingly adjusted them, and then right triangle has no audio, so you have to work around that. Having said all that, I use it and like it even with it's glitches.
I love the clear and easy to use interface. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I love the fact that there are varied levels and that the instructions give you enough time to transaction. However, for me to give 5 stars I would love to see specialised classes e.g weight loss etc. Also to fade out the session by allowing the music to continue to play after the session in case you are still meditating. Overall, amazing! The best yoga app I have used to date.
I will always remember the day when Yoga Studio became available for the Android OS. This app had me considering whether I should return to Apple products. Thankfully, I didn't have to. You cannot find a better virtual yoga class.
I haven't been able to attend regular classes like I used to and this app has filled that gap. There are a number of skill levels and time options and you can put multiple sessions together. For beginners like me, there are pose "cards" that break down each pose into steps. There are even music options. The sessions are downloaded to your device so you can use them offline. The files are a little large for my phone so I use the app on my tablet. I don't remember a save to micro SD Card option.
I've tried all the yoga and workout apps. This one surpasses the rest. This has the best set of classes at the perfect skill levels. And you can create your own routines. I was hesitant to pay $5 for it but I've used it almost everyday since installing it and I'm more willing to pay one payment of $5 than monthly payments of $2 or whatever the subscription apps cost. Great app! Recommend it to beginning yogis and experienced ones.
My job is kind of stressful and has me sitting a lot. It's been havoc on my lower back and posture. My doc suggested I exercise more and find things that help reduce my anxiety. Yoga sounded like the perfect fit but I was lost on where to start. This app is wonderful. It had combinations for beginners to more experienced and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and I have felt a difference in my body. My hips aren't as tight and My posture is improving.
Perfect resource for poses and sessions. Love that you can create your own and also download and use offline. Just wish the music would fade out at the end of each session rather than abruptly stop, especially if you want to continue on yourself afterwards.
I am really happy with the Yoga Studio app. I use it almost every day for the classes and the guided meditation. The classes are easy to follow and allow for you to advance at your own pace. If you close your eyes it feels like you are in a true studio. So impressed! Thank you for this app!
I've been doing basic yoga moves for a few years to help with hip issues but needed something more. I lift weights 3 days a week and do cardio 4 days, I still have another 50lbs to lose so by no means in shape. This app has so much variety that I can use it after every workout. The moves are simple yet challenging for a beginner. I feel like I'll finally make progress in flexibility and keep from injury. This is a must have for all!
i use this app all the time and i don't think i have a single negative thing to say about it. it would be great if they added a few more classes and asanas, but i easily make due with what's already available. if you want easy to follow yet comprehensive guidance for your yoga practice, this app is the best out there. seriously.

It has been a few years since I've done any sort of yoga. Life got away from me and so did my interests. Lately, I've been focusing more on myself and making time to do the things I once used to do. That's where this app comes into play. Since downloading Yoga Studio, I've since used the schedule to set up classes for myself. The nice thing is the schedule in the app syncs with the calendar you use. This has been a nice welcoming back to yoga and I will continue to use this. Great app, 5 stars.
