About fit•hub

fit•hub was one of the Grand Prize winners of the Google Fit Developers Challenge!!

It has recently been completely redesigned.

fit•hub works with the following accounts:
* Android Wear
* Fitbit
* Jawbone
* Misfit
* Moves

It does NOT work with:
* Mi band (I would love to add support for this band. But... There is no support offered from Xiaomi to allow 3rd party developers app for Mi Band)
* Garmin (There is no Open platform for developers to develop for Garmin Connect. I talked to their market system but they do not partner with small developers... So I will not be able to add support for Garmin)

fit•hub works as a hub for you!
No more having to look through all of your fitness apps to see your data.
No more asking your friends with different devices how many steps they have today, be social and add friends to your list independent of their fitness tracker choice.

fit•hub lets you sync multiple accounts into one single dataset or view them individually.
Note that fit•hub can only read data from the official apps and can not be used in substitution of them.

NOTE: If you are using a Custom ROM and are having troubles signing in to Google or authenticating Facebook, Google Fit, etc.. That is on your own. You should contact the developer of the ROM that you are using.

Note2: If you are using Google fit it requires location. Check that location is enabled in your phone otherwise linking and syncing with Google Fit may not work.

Note3: If you are using the Watchface and the weather is not being updated is because Location is not ON either. Go into Settings -> Enable location.

fit•hub permissions explained:
*Internet: Access the data from the different fitness providers, sign in, check friends notifications.
* Run at start up and prevent from sleeping are necessary for the app to start the sync service when the device is restarted.
* Read Contacts is used to suggest you contacts to add to your friend list through their email address.
* Access WIFI and Network state is used to determine if the application has access to the internet or not.
* Find and use accounts on the device is necessary in order to Sign In with Google.

This application was developed very fast by a college student (me) for the Google Fit challenge. for any bug report or feature request please contact me at: contact@gabilheri.com.

Thank you.

I really love being able to compete with my friends who have FitBits (I use Google Fit). My only complaint is the frequency with which it gets my data from Google Fit. My sister's FitBit updates constantly throughout the day, but mine only seems to update once at the end. Still a great app that I was missing for the longest time!

Like this app, but sleep has never synced got me, and most recent update broke it on Pixel XL on 7.1.2. All just force crashed, so I uninstalled and re installed, now it won't even connect to my Google account. Hope it will be fixed soon.

It looked promising connecting with both Google Fit and Jawbone UP. Once installed it quickly loaded the past history from both Google Fit and Jawbone. After that it barely updated the info from the 2 connected apps. It did once when I rebooted the phone but that was it. Additional reboots did nothing. So far it has been useless as it doesn't update the Jawbone data nor the Google Fit data. ASUS Zenfone 3 ZE552KL on Android 7 with UP3

So far, I have installed the app and tried to connect both Google Fit and Moves accounts, both separately and one at a time, and I always receive "Error syncing data" message. Additionally receive "Error fetching location" when trying to enable location, even though location is enabled in the phone. I would really like to try the app, if it was actually working.

Just did an 8 mile bike ride with my dog, added it to google fit, and installed fithub to try and compete against my wife who has a Fitbit. It will not add the data from the Google fit account even with the sync permission granted.

Nice interface and if it gets fleshed out to provide all of the missing functionality it'll definitely deserve a better rating. Heart rate data? Nope. Sleep info? Not there. Other sports e.g. cycling? Nope.

App keeps telling it needs to authenticate my FitBit but when I go there it says it is already authenticated. Does this several times a day.

So far this seems ok. Wish you could link up friends from other fitness devices and challenge them. For some reason this can't find my location

S70%
by S####:

I will set my steps at 6000 and it changes back to what I guess is a default amount of 8000. Other than that it's a good app.

Does what it's needed! Simple, combine different brand devices. Btw, any chance for me to choose "add up" data from 2 smartwatches instead of "averaging"? Would be great because I want to wear my fitbit for jogging but my Android wear for work :)

S70%
by S####:

I cannot get this to pick up my location, so I can't add any local friends. Not happy.

S70%

Eventually uninstalled: tried for more than a month, but finally got tired of the multiple-times-per-day error messages it generated on my LG G4 running Android v 6.0 Maybe on other hardware/software combos it is better, but for me, no joy.

Connects to Google fit but not fit bit on my note4.

Started out working great with Moto 360 and Google Fit, but now is not working and has turned into a pain. I'm now looking to replace it.

Good work so far. It would be nice to sync the weight data from Fitbit and display it

Would love to give it a higher rating but it will not connect to my moves app.

Wish Xiaomi would let you support Mi Bands. Great for android wear.

How do you get it to track sleep though all I use is Google fit and sleep as Android. What sleep apps are available for this or do I have to go buy a wristband

S70%
by S####:

The design looks amazing. And the application is smooth and well design. Like the way the data is gathered. All fixed now, 5 starts.

J70%

I really like how it's integrated with other apps. But having a group feature can really enhance the experiance (creating a group for friends or family to compete in the leader boared). I wish to see it soon on the app

S70%
by S####:

Can you have it sync between services? I would love to use this app to add my Jawbone UP data to Google Fit. Also, what about sleep tracking data?

S70%

Impressed with the redesigned app UI. I have read other commenct and some additional features from i.e. Google Fit with be great. Also I would like to see Fithub widget like the app daily activity screen is; that would be awesome.

Fails to open and will not connect to my google account.

We would like to see some improvements in the app, like to be able to pull the weight and height in regular basis from Google fit, to be able to select the unit (cm or meter, Celsius or F, Kg or lbs , etc..) the ability to create a challenges between selected friends. Thank you.. After testing the app, I noticed that the app does not read the max steps 1 day for today correctly, instead it gives me the total steps of this week

U70%
by U####:

I don't see any of my friends in this app, it appears to only be a way to toggle between my step count from different apps. I can do that by just going to the different apps, so I'm not sure what benefit this hub adds. Additionally, I don't understand the logic on how it determines "fithub" steps? Average of the others? Poor choice...

R70%
by R####:

Even though it seems correctly set up - as it seems to work fine now, my friends and I could not see each other on leader board for a week or so.

U70%
by U####:

First app I've seen that can show you instantly the difference between your friends and your steps between different platforms(Fitbit and Google fit). The problem I have is when I drop down the one day max for today I expect to see both my steps and friends steps today. Instead I still see my max 1 day steps from a couple days ago. A couple bugs to work out.

U70%
by U####:

It syncs my Jawbone AND Google Fit data one time, every time. It has not crashed at me so far. I guess the only thing missing at this point would be Samsung S Health and Under Armour (MyFitnessPal) integration so it would truly work for me.

U70%
by U####:

Not sure what everyone likes about this tbh. I've got my jawbone and Google fit connected but then it takes an average of both for step count, so if I leave my phone on the desk and go for a walk, my jawbone up move will track it, but as my Google account hasn't recorded it, the overall average is much lower. Just seems stupid to me. Have I missed something?
