About PCMark for Android Benchmark

Benchmark the performance and battery life of your smartphone and tablet with PCMark for Android. See how well your device performs, then compare it with the latest models.

Work 2.0 benchmark
See how your device handles common productivity tasks - browsing the web, editing videos, working with documents and data, and editing photos. Use Work 2.0 to measure the performance and battery life of your device with tests based on real applications. Or run the original Work test to compare your device with older models.

Computer Vision benchmark
Computer Vision is an exciting field with opportunities for a range of innovative mobile apps. This benchmark uses popular open-source libraries to test the performance of your device for image recognition, graphical barcode scanning, and optical character recognition tasks.

Storage benchmark
Slow storage speed in a device can cause annoying lag and stutters in everyday use. This benchmark tests the performance of your device's internal storage, external storage, and database operations. You get detailed results for each part of the test as well as an overall score to compare with other Android devices.

Compare devices
Compare the performance, popularity, and battery life of the latest smartphones and tablets with the Best Devices list. Tap any device to see a side-by-side comparison with your own device, or search for a specific model, brand, CPU, GPU or SoC. You can even filter the scores by Android version number to see how OS updates affect the rankings.

The experts' choice
"PCMark is actually a solid example of mobile benchmarking done right."
Alex Voica, Senior Marketing Specialist at Imagination Technologies

"tends to test every aspect of a mobile device, unlike microbenchmarks that can often miss aspects of the system that can affect performance."
Ganesh TS, Senior Editor at AnandTech

"Battery life is generally difficult to quantify due to the huge variation in potential workloads...The best test we have for this is PCMark, which performs a few common tasks instead of purely synthetic loops."
Matt Humrick, Staff Editor at Tom's Hardware

Great app to show my phone is still in peak condition. Only issue I have is the lack of 'move to sd' support which is surprising since it is available for 3d mark!

Nexus 6P crashes

U70%

Stopped opening correctly after a restart, there would be basically nothing on the window. Had to uninstall and reinstall, thus consuming a good amount of data.

It crashes when it comes to photo editing

S70%

Ok, it benchmarked my phone, great, it compared other phones to my phone, awesome, it doesn't crash, best.

S70%

I did one battery test without the "Power saving" on my Galaxy S5 on, and after that I did another test with it on. The first test seems to have been saved, but the second one was not for some reason. That's really disappointing, especially since the test takes something like 5 hours to finish. Would appreciate an explanation as to why I can't find the results for the second test.

Best results when you disable all running apps like anti-virus etc, app description is very clear on work benchmark being an extra 450 mb download, if users actual read the description, is there no way to connect your results to your futuremark account? Yes disabling the 2 apps i had running in background freed enough resources to complete the benchmark, apps were avast av & everycall call control, score of 2663 on moto G 4G, 4189 on tesco hudl 2

My device was unknown. The software couldn't even tell me my tablets CPU. It's an RCA Pro Viking. It gave me a useless graph and no info on what the numbers even mean. I also had to download a huge 400mb because it's got a video clip inside the benchmark tests. Geekbench3 is the better option if you need details on your tablet.

I also disliked that unlike 3DMark, this wasn't movable to sd, and I have very little internal storage left. Anyway, after launching all I got was black screen - I thought it was maybe doing some preparations, but no. I went to running apps dialog to stop it, and it disappeared when I tapped it. Returning from app list I got all white screen, and nothing but home button got me out of it. Maybe it's because I'm low on storage - 3dmark, moved on sd worked fine although it had to download almost 200mb.

Performance tests seemed nice, but ultimately the app didn't get to finish the test even once due to returning randomly "unknown error" and due to many restrictions on the test prerequisites (e.g. "notifications may interrupt the test" - does that mean you have to log out of every app? Either the instruction was insufficient or not presented user friendly). Only one option is available - to perform a test which lasts "several hours". If the test fails you need to charge the phone battery to 80%+ to reattempt. Also to even attempt the tests you need to do a 430mb download

D70%
by D####:

While very useful, the app can be extremely frustrating. The battery benchmark test crashed repeatedly on various devices I was testing. This was particularly annoying since the test takes a couple of hours after which no result was provided and the device would have to be recharged before retesting.

T70%
by T####:

I can't download +400mb update and there is not any direct link in their site to downland it. They must reduce this huge update file. Or give us direct link. Useless app because if this awful update file size. (Edit: by the link which develpoer gave me here, it solved)

I got a Battery Life of 6h and 4m. Seems about right. Now i have to test my two extended Batteries 1 7700mah 2 6000mah. Should be great

S70%

I was looking to test battery performance but instead it says download 400mb for benchmark test.it's simply not what i thought it to be.

U70%

Been testing a lot of phones and its great. However it seems to lock up on an Alcatel Flash Plus. Will reinstall and test again but of course retrying each time takes hours. In my opinion its the phone's fault, but worth looking into as to why.

S70%
by S####:

Very useful to find the best phones on battery life. I would like that this application included not only the last 30 days results but even all the old results because there are missing phone models on the battery performance database.

S70%
by S####:

For no reason whatsoever PCMark and 3DMark never downloads files without any issues.. This I have experienced across multiple phones. The update will download. Then when I launch the app it will ask me to download again, as if I had not opened the app for the first time. This same issue is felt by a colleague as well. Please provide links to download packs and make our lives simpler.
