Learn Korean Phrasebook - 5000 Phrases

It's very useful in terms of learning a handful of common phrases you'll use in day-to-day conversation. However, I wish that they would explain if what you're learning is the formal/informal speech in Korean so as to avoid seeming rude when you speak to natives. It would also be great to just remove the romanized text in "flash cards" so people will be encouraged to learn how to read hangeul (which is the easiest part of learning Korean.)

If you already have a solid background knowledge of Korean the app can be a fun little game to keep you going and to prevent one from forgetting what you've already learned. However, as the app does not clearly indicate the differences in speaking levels to new learners or use accurate speaking levels for most of the phrases, new learners will more likely end up offending Koreans than learn to communicate with them. As someone who possesses a solid background of at least basic korean I am also surprised at how one is just presented with random phrases, with no real contexts. This, I presume, must only confuse new learners and it certainly doesn't teach anyone any useful or polite korean. 90% of the phrases I saw were intimate speaking level, which you only use with really close longterm friends, so be careful.

This is a really good app to use if you want to learn plenty of different words and phrases! All of the practices and games also helped me remember each word and phrase I was learning. I would like it even better if there was a little more content on it, but it's great overall.

I just love it, maybe you don't make the difference between formal and informal but the way you made it makes me memorize more easily and in a funny way. Good job!

Helps a lot

It does not emphasize formal and polite conversation. This way of speaking cannot applied to office environment. It is good only for friends and talking to younger or lower rank. I suggest to put an option to make formal and polite speech.

My fav app. All 5 stars. Great, fun, easy way to learn. I already got 4000 points. I have too much fun using this app. Hugs to the developer. I just wish they release intermediate level soon. I am almost done with beginner level. Please release level 2 quickly.

1. Wrong pronunciation. 2. Informal sentences. For me, i know korean and i know 반말 and 존댓말 but for absolute beginners or people travelling to korea this app would be a real disaster. Talking to strangers or elders in 반말, or informal speech, is so wrong in korea so you can't just put informal sentences. Hope it would improve ^^

Using samsung galaxy s2 but when click to audio play, no single sound coming out.
