FullContact Address Book for Android
The free version of this app is essentially useless except to try it before buying. Limits at 1000 contacts and 10 or 20 scanned cards before they make you pay
Even after paying for premium services, this application caused me difficulty with the most basic uses of storing, maintaining, pulling up and protecting what's critical in day to day living, my contacts. I felt dismissed and canceled after registering basic complaint needs with them. Until they recognize that customers are their key to any long term successful goals and stability I would not recommend this application and I'm actively looking for other more user friendly and stable contact storage conduit.
Works well in managing your contacts. Not sure what the Android app adds to the cloud/PC/web version. 2017.05.13 update 2.1.2.2 dd 28 Apr: "Improved Business Card handling. Squished a few bugs." It works a treat, just what I wanted. Separate contact lists for home and my fledgling business. Best of all, I had a simple question, asked support and got a reply that answered it within twenty minutes.
Was hoping for a seamless sync experience but it is flaky like many others that came before it sadly
It seems LinkedIn is synchronising again. Thank you.
Nice
Originally a CoBook fan & had to become a reluctant FullContact user after they took it over. It's growing on me.
I love that it synchronizes so my phone and tablet are up to date. However I have to uninstall and reinstall to get my contacts. If I just open the app there is a strange list.. Am I doing something wrong??
This app seems to be a first class app for android mobile devices. More later
Features I'd love to see: follow up reminders; contact interaction history (texts, emails, social media, etc)
Still very buggy when taking pictures
Mean dogg
An extremely poor user experience. Mobile is FullContacts weak point and brings the whole experience to a screaming halt After 4 support emails and 3 in 5 cards not being transcribed for 14+ hours with the app stuck on transcribing and requiring a full reset. Also the card accuracy is frequently wrong and information is left out. The business card scanner won't rotate the screen to take photos of cards as cards are normally oriented , and takes photos in the resoulution of the phone. Well normally this would be great for qualoty bu as they upload and transcribe expect a massive image and longbhours of upload time. Any sensible app would scale the i.age but no FullContacts doesn't. But then it gets worse support advised me all this but did not give me a solution. Im going back to CamCard its which gets it right 95% of the time but avoids a poor quality app experience. Get it together FC !
FullContact hasn't worked properly for some time. Syncing fails, updates were giving bizarre spam-like results for contacts for major companies, and now updates no longer happen at all. Can't recommend. EDIT: Issues have been largely handled in the new updates. Much improved.
Why can we not just save to an SD Card? Our contacts not the app. Backup to an SD Card instead of online.
Great solution to contact management!
This app does not work. None of the contacts from scanned business cards were available to me in my gmail account. It wouldn't even let me copy and paste them from the app to my email. What a waste.
Have to pay yearly for a second address book
This is potentially very good. The only downside at the moment is image capture - there is no automatic resizing and light level adjustment that an app such as Office Lens would apply. This would surely make it a lot easier for the transcription team to work with and get accurate results. I did try scanning cards using Office Lens and then loading into FullContact from gallery, but app didn't like this, at all, and kept closing. Can you advise if this aspect of the app can be improved at all? Because it is otherwise very good.
So far so good. We need the basics and soon after the frills. Synchronizing and keeping clean and fully flushed out lists is the basics. My frills list is growing.
Love it anyway
App doesn't work. I cannot get through the set up. I add my accounts, click finish and it crashes. Tried four times.
One of the best contact management apps out there.
Keeps crashing on startup.
Paid a LOT for this, but recent update stinks - can't use it to load cards anymore (main reason I purchased). First, I was locked out. Without any info other than "invalid password", I had to go online to reset password only then to figure out it was because the requirements changed and my old password didn't qualify. As a previous software product mgr, I know the new version should have directed people to reset their password automatically. Disappointing. Then once I get in, I can't add any business cards. Did no one test Android? For such a high price point, I expect best practice; not amateur update mistakes. Going the wrong direction, FullContact.
Just installed the app, unable to take photos of a business card as it keeps crashing. Finally succeeded once, to be met with get another error "unable to save image file". Using Samsung S8.
Absolutely the best contact app, I'm now in charge of my contacts, no more double entries, second to none.
App crash after new update
Love it
This app is awful. It won't let me edit information in the app. Can't change the pictures and now its deleting my contacts from my email back up. Though it would help keep all my contacts together not make it worse. Plus it only syncs to email not your phone.
Love the app but I'm stuck without being able to scan any more business cards I've had the premium price but it won't allow me to scan anymore
No good. Makes you set up every time you open it
I find it this app is so useful when you have two or three different email accounts for consolidation
Every samart phone users use this app n recommend also...awesome !!!
I just found that swipe to call / text option is no more here in my mobile app. Please tell me is it retired or is it for upgraded version. Thanks.
I tested it and its very harmful to phone had to master reset plus it cause it to over heat
This is perfect for me. It allows me to have multiple Gmail accounts have the exact same contact list without exporting and importing between them. Since some of those accounts are GSuite work accounts, having the ability to pull into straight out of email signatures and into my contacts list is VERY convenient! Overall set up was simple. After I signed into all the accounts and gave necessary permission, my accounts started to sync full of extra info gathered by FullContact. Now I can add a contact to ANY of my accounts and they will show up to all of them. I will check the FullContact sure once in a while to link data suggestions and merge duplicate contacts. This is honestly a very nice system! Anyone who had complained in the reviews may not have understood how to use this system, or they presumed it was an instant automatic process; almost, but they are not psychic... This works great, and I appreciate them allowing me to double check suggestions on their site.
Do you REALLY need to pay almost $100 PER YEAR to keep track of your contacts??? Even $1.00 per year is TOO MUCH. Sorry, I do not have that kind of money.
