The speed is shown by calculate data size which is downloaded during 1 second.
(Used unit is bit/second and byte/second)
It is possible to change the data size which is used if you change following the option.
[Setting]->[General]->[Download Data size]

1. Small(0.5MByte)
2. Medium(1MByte)
3. Large(2Mbyte)
