FUJIFILM Camera Remote for Android
Misery. Does not work. So I troubleshot it. Sources indicated I needed to update firmware on the camera. So I did. App won't stay connected. Must disconnect the connection to switch functioning. No excuse. You people should be ashamed selling a products advertised to do something it clearly doesn't Buy a Canon, their stuff works. I'd advise everyone else to abandon Fujifilm and do business with their competition.
Used to work fine on my Nexus 5. Doesn't connect at all on new Pixel. I'll revise my review of its ever fixed... It was useful before, but now it's just taking up space. Edit: Well.. It somehow started working, so it's all good now.
I had to give 1 star just to leave this comment. This is a worthless app! I have a LGG5 and I am very disappointed. I hate the camera and the app. My first experience with a nice camera and it's app sucks!
On X-T1 file transfer was slow… on X-T2 it's unusable even on castrated 3Mb dowsampled files… an average transfer rate of 6 files an hour?? An amazing 300 kb per minute… wow! Simply unusable
This app is a little confusing at first as they don't explain how it works. Once you get it working it's easy and quick to remote control your camera or get images instantly to you device from your camera.
I've held off on rating this app until I could see if it would get any better but it's been long enough. This app is so poorly put together that I can't believe Fuji even released it. The UI looks extremely outdated and clunky. I can deal with that. What is hard to deal with is the connectivity issues. My X-e2 seems to be more reliable when connecting it with my cell phone but this app rarely works with my X100t. It is absolutely frustrating. I don't really have any hope that Fuji will fix things with this app unfortunately.
This might work in a place where there is no WiFi. At home it briefly connects to the camera, then the phone immediately decides there is better WiFi with Internet and disconnects before an action can be selected. Not sure how this was supposed to work.
There's no way to set the quality of the received files. The imported jpg from camera are highly compressed, only to retain about 30% of the original resolution! These results are way too low for many applications. Hope the app can address this, at least giving users the choices to select! Using X-A3.
It's an absolute shame that our expensive fuji cameras have to use this horrible piece of software. Slow or impossible to connect, clumsy interface, lots of bugs. They are way behind were Sony was 3 years ago.
Don't know why the negative reviews. We use this with Fuji Xt 10 for a while now and never had any problems. The app isn't pretty but it works flawlessly.
Crappy connection most of the time with the X100F. Random connections if lucky.
Horrible, impossible to connect anymore and photos can't seems to be transfer. Please fix Fuji
Please fix the app. I used to be able to connect the camera to my lhone via this app easily. But after I have updated my phone's software, the app doesn't seem to work anymore. Now the app does not let the camera connect to my phone and I cannot download any photos from my camera via the app at all
Don't know how Fuji can market their cameras with WiFi connectivity when the app rarely works for me, or any Fuji shooters I know. Please rebuild and test until it works every time.
Use this app for files transfer..Very simple & useful.. Guess all negative reviews come from non-Fuji users..
1. Slow bad connection using wifi. 2. Please be sent file with full resolution, dont compressed. 3. Fixed the app.
Why no PANORAMA MODE!??? Its the simplest thing ever and its not available as part of the app. PLEASE ADD IT!
I have this annoying issues. 720p limitation when recording via the app. No autofocus in video mode. No landscape mode (it would be amazing to have an landscape with two mods: with controls and fullscreen image) this will compensate for the lack of rotating screen. FIX the connecting issues. Please fuji solve this issues and make it work in the professional environment.
Use this to remotely control my X-E2s on a Google Nexus 7 2013 without problems. Works great!
Was ok till last update, now finding mov files after transfer are missing sound. Playback ok on camera just corrupt after using this hideous app.
request Fuji to to add: 1. bulb mode and timer for long exposure 2. full resolution photo transfer 3. easier connecting
Won't connect for more than 2 seconds with HTC 10 and x-t20. Garbage. Fix it. While you're at it, add HDR stitching for exposure bracketing.
Works well to transfer files to your phone, tablet on the go. But app could use a major interface facelift to make it more intuitive.
Dodgy slow unreliable transfer between my xt2
Gradually getting better. Pity there are no instructions on how it works built in.
This app disconnect the WiFi on my S7. Because of that it always lost the connection
Cant connect to my Galaxy A5 2016 (android version 6). Please fix it!!!
Transfer foto dari fujifilm xa2 ke hp saya samsung galaxy s5 gampang banget
Just hangs there saying WAITING:-(((
Cant operate with my Galaxy Note 5. Wireless seems connected. However could not use all the apps feature.
Why its not working even once on my galaxy j7 prime?
Connects better thanks to new update. Syncs my xt10 and galaxy s7 edge with no problems.
Please make this app respond connect more reliable
Works 1 time ouf of 5
This app is awesone. It works well. More than 5 star for me.
This app is easy to use and awesome all round. Seriously great app.
Good for me works great
So Android Nougat 7.0 came out on the 22nd of August 2016. Knowing Fuji and its Kaizen approach, I fully expected a quick fix and new update to bring Android Nougat compatibility. Unfortunately, nothing has happened since. It has now been nearly 4 months since the app doesn't work anymore. Enabling location services doesn't help.
This is a horrible piece of software and no matter what order I do the connection steps in it will not connect to my phone in order to transfer photos. I am on Google Pixel XL so it's not an Android issue but an app issue. I expected better of Fuji given how much detail they pay to creating their cameras. Please fix this app so we can have a seamless experience.

It has never once successfully connected my X-T1 to my Samsung Galaxy S7. I've tried the steps in order shown, I've turning both devices off an on again and whatever steps there are that could be done differently but... Nothing. It's just a waste of space. It doesn't even look like it was designed for a large hi-res screen. I will have to delete the app as a failed experiment.
