Able to print out of the box without much issues. Permission was requested after launching the app the first time. Colours print out is difficult to gauge with the built in filters function turned on. Would prefer to be able to have better colour matching from phone to printer. Feature request: - allow browsing of photos by folders, the current way of browsing shows all the photos in a single page. Very difficult to navigate to find older photos which I've place into other folders. - include other SNS like Pinterest.

Thanks to some of the helpful souls here whom shared their tips. I followed and I can now print. For android users, you will need to go to the app setting and enable the permission issue and then clear the cache of the app and turn on location to connect to printer. Finally the app can detect the photos and printer n printing begin!

I just bought the instax share sp2.. but i cannot connect to the printer from my phone.. it say "you cannot execute the function because you do not have the authority. Please assign the authority on the terminal setting screen" could anyone help me? I'm using samsung galaxy a5 (2015)..

This is a honest let down. I got the printer as a gift for my birthday I've wanted one for ages. And now the app isn't working. The app is saying that it could not find the printer. When the WiFi direct of the printer is working so how can it not find it. I've spent ages scrolling through the comments trying to troubleshoot the issue. But nothing. There's something wrong with this application please fix it as soon as possible

It used to work perfectly fine and print like normal until one day it couldn't find my printer to connect to anymore even though my phone was clearly connected to it. Tried everything to make the app find the printer but it will not recognize it. So dissapointed.

If youre getting a issue with the permissions on your phone or an overlay issue, you should go to Apps - then Draw over other apps - turn off any Cheetah Mobile apps such as file manager or clean master, also Facebook Messenger. Then you can go to your Fuji Instax Share app and turn on all the permissions which should allow the app to work. You can go back and allow your messenger app to draw over other apps to get those chat bubbles again and it shouldnt interfere with the instax app anymore.

Worked perfectly fine until one day it wouldn't find the printer. After lots of googling I found that you now need to make sure that you LOCATION is on. Noticed a lot of reviews have a similar issue and this may help

-1 because the app is glitchy and app won't let you use some pictures but gives no indication why. -1 because there is no way to save the real time pictures to print later. So unless I'm going to carry the printer around with me this feature is useless. Make it so you can save those pics in the reprint section for later and you will be an AWESOME app

You will need to turn off any screen overlays, then goto app permissions to give location, storage and/or photo. Make sure you have location services turned on too. Apparently this app won't function without stealing your location info.

I have to edit every photo. The brightness has to be near super dark to show up on print. Which brings me to the intelligence filter, makes it look got digitally but when printed it is too bright & contrast, which ruins that sheet of film. Only works on GPS, annoying. & I wish the polaroid photo could move around more with out trimming the edges. Also, wish their was black polaroids (the border). & More options on special filters. Example an I love you one instead of just Valentine's day. & Maybe add stamps

Not worth the price. It has an option to print from Facebook, Instagram etc. But always stops working. Pictures to do not print out like they are on the device. I have the SP-2 and would not recommend it to anyone. Will be returning device to the store. App sucks as well

Many things this app cannot do. For example, you can't adjust the picture's position. The filter option is stupid, you have to go through one by one to find something you may like. This app totally destroyed all the fun we supposed to have with the printer

Here is how to overcome "No printer could be found" error. Spent 30 minutes trying to connect the printer but kept getting the error. Finally found a forum post online with the magic: enable location (GPS) on your phone. Apparently that is required to connect to the printer. Message in the app is not helpful and location should not be required at all. 1 star for low quality confusing user experience. Needs improvement badly.

The app won't let me connect my printer. It worked for me a few months ago, but for some weird reason it's not connecting now. Does anyone know what to do?

Intelligence filter does not work when you take pictures directly from the instax app.. Please fix trimming issues and add more stickers/borders

App was good and working properly until now. I've ensured my location is on, gps is on and still nothing. Spent 1 hour googling the problem. My sp-1 printer is useless now. Complete letdown. And an overpriced printer in the first place.

This app won't let my phone connect to the printer....which is the whole point of the app. I've had this printer for a decent amount of time and it's never not connected. It says it can't even find my device.This has to be an app problem that needs to be fixed immediately. What's worse is I see several people having the same problem but I haven't once seen anyone post any explanation for it or say they're working on it

All permission on the phone for this app needs to be set to 'on'. You also need to set a password for the printer. In order to use the printer the locations and WiFi needs to be turned on. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU RUIN A GOOD APP! sort it out!

Stopped working saying it didn't find the printer so I uninstalled it but after I figured out the reason it was not printing was that I disabled the location I installed again. This time it was giving me an error of not having the authority to use it. This happened because when it installs this new version has no permissions allowed. So if you want it to work you need to set the permissions in the app settings and have the location services enabled. Fuji should make this easier to find out.

This app was previously good but now it won't let me connect to the printer. It continuously says that I don't have authority and to change it one the terminal setting screen. Even the settings part of the app says I need authority first before changing anything.

Why I not able to use the Instax Printer SP-1 thought this app using my S7 edge?? Keep prompting me "You cannot execute the function because you do not have the authority" pls help to solve the problem....

Can't connect after the last update. Tried turning on gps, logging in and out of the printer wifi, restarting the phone, installing all new software, changing batteries, still i "dont have the authority to connect"

So very disappointing. I love the little printer, and use it at my work, it's fun to add pictures of the kids in my class doing things that very same day - and they love it! BUT when I updated my android phone the printer would no longer connect. Android doesn't ask for a password to connect, and the app doesn't prompt for a password, then the app says I don't have the appropriate access rights to use the printer. Thankfully I can still print from my old iPad 2, but it's definitely a pain to have to move the pictures and carry two devices back and forth now.

I I initially downloaded the app and tried to print a picture, but it wouldn't print saying that i didn't have the authority or something. Then I deleted the app and tried again, this time alloaing it access to my location, camera, and storage; and, it printed!

Was working fine then all of a sudden cant find the printer but can connect to the printers wifi no problem. I have Instax SP-2 and Samsung Galaxy s7 . Iv been into settings and allowed the permission for location etc. Any ideas ???

First thing first, depending on Android software when you connect to wifi without internet it will disconnect and reconnect to other saved wifi. Sometimes you'll get a option pop-up giving you option to stay connected. So do double check that you are connected to printer wifi. Next step to try, clear storage and cache of app and try again. Now I can connect to printer every single time. Tell us if this worked for you. Another very important thing to notice. When you ran the app for the very first time, app asked for location permission. You would think, why would a printer app require a location permission? My answer is I do not know. Now this got me thinking because I have location disabled in my phone and I thought I turn it on and try it. Sure enough, simply turning on location on my phone (battery save mode is good enough), when on phone was able to finally detect and connect to the printer without a problem every single time. So for those who are having problems connecting, give these tips a try.

It's frustrating to find and edit photos. The gallery feature shows all photos from all folders in one place, meaning along with my actual photos I see Whatsapp photos, screenshots, etc. Then when editing it's very glitchy to rotate and resize the images. Finally, many of my photos simply won't print. I get an error "Could not send data to printer." It seems to be dependent on the photo, since some consistently work and others consistently do not. Please fix these bugs!

Edit: finally figured out what cause can't connect to printer error. You have to make sure you don't have any running apps that monitor or filter your internet connection. Always say that it can't connect to the printer

Printing from my gallery works, but ive tried printing from instagram and facebook, and it just keeps spinning and spinning. its aggravating me. other then that, my prints come out good for what I need them for.

Why can't I move the photo left or right without having to tap "enlarge" first? I also have to tap the templates or filters several times or very hard to get it to change. And the option not to have the date on some templates would be nice.

Can't believe that this app does not work. No printer could be found. Can you fix it, otherwise one can not use the printer.

This app is like a spyware. There’s absolutely no need to track my physical location and look into my contacts. Also the error handling is poor and the user interface for modifying pictures is not intuitive. It used to be more straight forward but some idiots decide to make things unnecessarily complicated. The reset password is not working. What supposed to be a 10 sec printing turned out to be more than 30 mins because of pointless configuration. A grade school kid can write a better app than this junk.

How disappointing! I've been so excited about getting this printer. I got it today and it won't authorize me to use it! My GPS is on as well! It asks me to connect to it through wifi only it kicks me off my home wifi in order to connect directly to my phone. Really?? Use data just to even try to print?? Please fix! **UPDATE...I had to uninstall the app and reinstall. Say accept to everything & to location. This time I was given access to print. Works great! 4

absolutely NO reason it needs my location!! I really hate over intrusive apps.

It doesn't work anymore!! Help please fix!! I never had a problem... but ya now it doesn't even detect my printer. I get as far as finding it on my WIFI, but after that nothing else.

Have had this app and my printer for a few years. Easy to use until this update, after which I was unable to connect, etc. I ♥ Instax Share but I'm deducting 1 star because it took me time to connect and figure out how to "authorize the terminal screen setting." It isn't anywhere in the setting screen right in the app itself. Who knew: terminal screen setting = phone's screen setting? Must be industry speak... You have to go to the applications screen on your own phone, then applications / application manager, click on Instax Share app. In Permissions, make sure permission is on for camera, location, and storage. GPS has to be on in order for photo to be transferred to Instax Share app from gallery. PW is whatever the Instax Share app is initially set at - 1111 or something like that. And that worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Great app and has many filters, would be excellent to update the app with more filters and stamps to decorate photos. I previously used my Samsung s5 with the printer and worked fine but I cannot connect the printer to my Samsung s7; it shows a message stating "You cannot execute the function because you do not have the authority. Really slow, clunky app which fails to load my photos properly. Massive shame as the products themselves are good (the printers) but the software really does let the whole package down
