About DOK

DOK – Digital Audio Remote Control is a remote control for digital radio and internet connected audio devices which allows navigation between the many functions.

The Remote Control automatically detects the modes supported on the radio and configures the App screens so there are no unnecessary modes on the app.

NOTE: If you have a Wi-Fi connected audio product, why not try the new UNDOK app for a better experience and compatibility with multi-room devices?

I had this app for 1,5 year. All was great till about 3 weeks ago. It is frozen when I open it. I deinstalled at least 5 times already or I have restart my phone so it works. I even got a memory card that has 32 GB. Help please!!!!!

DOK used to work with my Internet radio Dual IR 6S. However, since yesterday's firmware update I can't get my Android devices to connect using to the radio any more. Maybe the protocol has changed and the Android app DOK simply hasn't been updated yet? Anyway, browsing some more on Google Play I found "UNDOK", another application from Frontier Silicon. This one seems to have some additional bells and whistles, and most of all, it has recently been updated (March 5, 2015). UNDOK nicely finds my radio and so far seems to work well. So, if you have trouble using DOK, you might want to try UNDOK. Lastly, be sure to turn on WiFi, it won't work with mobile network connection.

It's back to Android 1.5 with the UID of this app. It works rudimentary with internet radio stations. Only 6 presets though. Spotify remote control from the Spotify app itself. The real problem is when using the app to remote control your local NAS library. No options to play a folder, no play queue, no sorting options. Forget about streaming your local albums in track order, or shuffle play. Setting up the Music Box requires a different app all together. Two stars because it does do internet radio and Spotify.

The only connection mode available is "Bluetooth". For whatever reason.

I love the DOK app for Android. I’ve used it on several Samsung phones for quite a while, with great success, with my Opus One A2696 DAB+ tuner. Unfortunately, after my Note 2 just updated to Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean API level 18) it has suddenly ceased working. It just endlessly displays “Searching for radios…” but never finds any. Uninstalling and reinstalling has not helped. Bluetooth on or off makes no difference. It’s very sad this great app has stopped working. Does anyone have any ideas? **EDIT A DAY OR TWO LATER** Forget what I wrote above. I was silly; the problem was a faulty Ethernet cable and nothing more. The app works fine with Jelly Bean after all. Congrats on a great app!

Doesn't work on my Roberts radio which uses frontier silicon's portal, just comes up with a warning about Bluetooth and then freezes

Is it possible to make this work on Roberts radios ? The digital receiver module used in Roberts is made by Frontier Silicon Ltd and I was hoping that this would work. The app does not do anything - none of the buttons work and it does not scan for radios.
