Fronius Solar.web pro for Android
Waste of money. Does not give you any worthwhile information. Fee app is almost exactly the same. Should be ashamed of themselves for even asking money for this. Does not mention you need to purchase additional hardware to monitor own consumption. Uninstalled after 4 hours and reverted to free app.
I'm guessing the people who hate this app didn't pay their installer for the full monitoring service. This app is really good. Can monitor load, see monute by minute where the power is being used and where the excess is going. Helps my family tailor our usage to when we're generating peak power. Love it.
So this app, if you forked out for the extra monitoring, does what it says. It just does it so BADLY. * Performs badly on my pixel.... Judders and freezes while scrolling. * When reopened, displays bad data while it refreshes. * Design is inconsistent at best. Ignores most Android recommendations and best practises * Icons don't make sense. No title or explanation when tapped on. This is just what I have noticed after a day of use. To ask $5 for this is pretty galling after forking out for the inverter AND the monitoring equipment, let alone when it is such an unprofessional app. If you have a fronius, you are probably stuck with this junk, if you haven't already, well, you know what you're in for.
Very poor app, no better than the free version as the extra consumption monitor doesn't work. Save you money and time, don't buy this!
Worst paid app I have ever used
Simply cannot get it to connect following the instructions provided.
Useless
Fed up with it still not being up to date. The graph still shows 14 october 2016. Have spoken to u on phone about this months ago but still not fixed. Not happy.
This app started out being quite useful but over time various functions have just stopped working and it is now effectively useless.
Watch app does nothing other than say "Loading data..." (Moto 360). Rest of app is OK, I like the widgets. Fix the watch app please!
You may make great solar inverters with decent internet access. But you let someone design the worst interface I've seen I can barely read the numbers on my phone.... it looks good but its useless. Power consumption figures etc is all I need to see and lets face that is all the people who paid you $1000's for your inverter system want to see. Rather than have large numbers telling me this I've got miniature curved numbers on a background of white and washed out grey numbers. What idiot thought this was a good idea. So if you must keep this crap interface, just produce an alternative Big number version for your clients who actually want to use it and for the "Grid feed in" mark the numbers in red RED if we are drawing from it. For such an innovative company you need to get some decent web / app designers because currently they are rubbish ! The fact you have to to back to solar web old to access most data makes it so obvious!!
Server goes down a lot.
No data on phone or tablet via this app for three days now......?
Displayed data does not match the information as found right on the Fronius inverter webserver. Therefore total $$ and kWh information is very inaccurate. Why does this app not sync with the data already on the inverter? It's like it started taking data only after creating online account. That leaves my information off by months! I want my money back. Seriously.
The app used to work well, now most of the time it's saying my system is offline. (When I know it's not because I check the inverter and it's producing) Called Fronius for help 3 weeks ago, still waiting for call back.
The pro version doesn't seem to accurately display total kWh. When I use the free app and then compare this to the actual inverter readings they are the same, but the pro version seems to lag behind which also means the widget displays the wrong value as well.
This is a really good app for live monitoring of your PV system. It doesn't seem to accurately report how much energy my system is exporting to the grid as it always shows 100% feed in. Pro version is definately worth the value.
Installing the system was expensive. Now I have to pay again for this App to view my data and it looks and feels like some student had it's first go.
Used to work. Not anymore. Error logging in and app closes. Reinstalled but problem persist.
(1) allow me to add notes about the day's weather, (2) allow me to see more than just the last 7 days of data, (3) data export to Excel for configurable time periods
Don't waste your money on this app the free app actully works way better than this app. 2/3 of this app literally dosent work. If you can find it get the old "solar.web" app.
New version keeps crashing when going into monthly bar charts, particularly when switching between power and kwp, before this it was 5 stars
It never is but it can't connect to the network. The network setup wizard is the worst. It is slow and the whole connection process will take more than 30 minutes. Even after the process goes through it still will not connect! The whole setup needs to be reworked through the app and with a firmware update on the inverter.
It's pretty good, but I'm still wondering why this is better than the original free version.
Crashes as soon as you login, stay with the free version and wait for the next update!!
Keeps crashing , work out the bugs please or refund our money back.
Worth getting if you have the fronius smart meter
No data on phone or tablet via this app for three days now......?
All this does is force close. Hopefully Fronius gets this sorted.
Crashes everytime
Helpful app
I do wish it didn't display functions for accessories we don't have. Othetwise .... It's made watching the power we use etc something quite interesting. As the data pool grows the more interesting it's becoming to see just what the system does. By the way ... during full moon the panels produce voltage. Not enough to do anything with .. but interesting.
They removed the widgets and now you have to buy this version to get them. Unfortunately they broke the widgets and now they just freeze and won't update, even after reinstalling. Update: A couple months and it's still broken. Doesn't even seem to be supported anymore.
Would really be helpful if the app showed the time it started and finished making electricity each day and not just have random times across the graph. Also how do you change the $value$ of each kilowatt if you change providers that pay different rates?
The free app cost too much. I don't know much about the technology or superiority of Fronius. But I do know the function and ease of the app is pathetic. I got burned and it cost way more than 2.99.
Amazing
Couldn't get the data logging working, spent ages reconfiguring, rinse, repeat. Checked on whirlpool for answers, apparently had to turn inverter off and on again. Works OK now.
Handy, but room for improvement. The Android app doesn't show values on the main animation - you have to zoom in on each component to read a value (see the screenshots above). The webpage Solar.web animation shows PV, consumption and grid feed kW values all at the same time - much easier to understand at a glance. Further, a screen capture only shows stationary dots - no direction info. Two-colour dots or arrows, along with kW values on each arm of the schematic, would be much more helpful than just the blue dots. In fact a little more colour throughout, especially on the charts, would make things easier to take in at a glance. Also, setup menus really need more in-app (and more complete on-line) instructions. Another annoyance for me - Total Income on this app on my Samsung Note 2 is stuck on $1, yet the Webpage and iOS version shows a more likely value - while I can adjust this on other versions, I can't seem to change it on this Android version. Considering this is the paid-for version, it should be much better than it is.
I do wish it didn't display functions for accessories we don't have. Othetwise .... It's made watching the power we use etc something quite interesting. As the data pool grows the more interesting it's becoming to see just what the system does. By the way ... during full moon the panels produce voltage. As it is, this app not beneficial. Map on app has us being in Australia which is correct. The day and time of day are not correct for us here. For example 5/7/17 has half of yesterday's production from 00:00 to 4.45am, zero production from 4.45am-7pm, then further production from 7pm-00:00am. Now we are in the southern hemisphere but I can guarantee our sun is NOT shining at night! Please look into this and fix the issue then this app may be quite useful to us.
