Fronius Solar.web live

App is pretty useless and most features are irrelevant. The demo home page shows solar output of other countries/locations other than my area of interest (Sydney). I have tried repeatedly to redo the setup wizard and have successfully connected to the inverter and internet but the login authentication still fails. The system monitoring only shows what the PV are producing but doesn't have user consumption compared to other inverter apps I've seen. I am very disappointed that an expensive inverter has such a useless app for their customers

I think they must have the local high school computer nerd club writing this app. Surely it's not someone who is getting paid! It's rubbish. They just updated the solar web site and now it won't record my data at all. Have to remember my password ( made to be super complicated by them) for an app that really controls nothing or is any security risk to anyone. Very poor app. Inverter works good i think if i could see what's going on

The $ amounts shown are irrelevant as you cannot edit tariff or feed in values. Does not work in landscape mode as shown in Play Store. Only shows a few days history. The Old Solar Web goves the best information. Pretty disappointing overall, considering that the inverter itself works really well.

I cannot get the app./ setup wizard beyond the stage 2/3 on my galaxy s8. Can anyone tell me how to get all 3 steps installed on my phone please.

Simple to configure. Easy to use. Would be nice to have a little more info like how each string is proforming.

Could be a lot more user friendly. Way too hard to change tariffs ect.

The data sometimes doesn't display accurately, as evidenced by the solar.web website.

Real time Data mismatches with Monitoring device...Even the Daily production Data...

Simply cannot get it to connect following the instructions provided.

Simple to set up although a little clunky to change your WiFi password if you typed it in wrong. Works on all devices but the iMac with Mavericks. Basic interface for live solar output check from anywhere. Once setup go to their webpage to get greater inverter system detail over this app.

After much stuffing about getting this app working stopped after a week and would not accept username or password. Fronius are not helpful saying I don't have an accout dispite it working for a week. The inverter is a great product a shame the app monitoring is not to the same standard. When it is working it lacks basic info I had with my previous inverter brand and others I have seen. You have to pay to get some what others supply free. After 5 months with this appalling app I have given up using it. Drops out and looses settings on a stable strong wifi signal.Setting up in the wizard is a constant nightmare of freezing on screens and rerunning the setup 10 to 15 times before I get all the way through. As before great inverter crap setup app.

Free version much superior. A massive improvement would be to throw away the real time animation and replace it with the one from the old solar. web as this is far more informative with all the alpha numeric information you need shown on the display for both free and pro version.

Not bad but needs work - for a premium system I paid extra for I would of thought it gave much better info - feed in vs local usage would be good if the system is able to get this data, daily, weekly and monthly and last x days (7/30) stats as well as yearly. Also the ability to change the feed in tarriff and retail rates at set dates when they change whilst keeping the previous historic rate in tact to maintain accuracy would be great. I will update my comments and rating as the interface is improved.

Apallingly difficult to set up. Random dropout from wifi meant an equally frustrating and difficult experience to reconfigure the application and the inverter (still not fixed after a full day of trying). App. works when these failures don't occur but the massive amounts of time required to fix problems make me want to throw the inverter in the trash along with the application and the app designers. On par with setting up and maintaining a wireless printer connection - yes it sucks that much!

It (the app) could be more user friendly. Much has been said that I'd simply reiterate. Here's to the company ironing out the glitches. The product itself is excellent.

Awful out of the gate. The setup wizard finds my inverter, then attempts to connect *forever*. No timeouts, no informative error messages. It has a 'Send feedback' form. That reset itself and discarded my half-typed description of the problem when I switched apps for a second, so my feedback can go here instead.

it won't work. timewasting app. i tried to contact the company many times no response. it simply doesn't give me any facts. the inverter is online and the app is activated. so?

Fir some reason the payed versuon and the free version, my location for tge pv system does not work. I hope this gets fixed.

More info would be great for example mains voltage, and all the other read out from the inverter

Works fine as it should. Nice handy app to keep a check on solar power.

I have tried for weeks to set up my username and password. I input forgot password and they send me an email link to change my password. i do this and try to login and red writing says username or password incorrect. I need someone to wipe my account so that I cat start again or I will be doing the same thing infinateley. Jake Middelberg

Default mode is demo, even if you set it up properly, you'll never know, since you have to switch of demo mode in settings. Absolutely no instructions as how to to install it and the YouTube videos are a disgrace. App works fine over once installed, but has limited data handling, no history storage, no predictions, no graph unlike the web version.

Make sure you get your technician to set it up. And you need a decent connection to your home WiFi or it won't work. Apart from that it's good. But more detailed data would be good, maybe a graph.

Easy to use app all the information you need and helps you to keep track of your solar system performance would highly recommend thanks Fronius keep up the good work.

Useful app sometimes cannot display data

This WIFI app stopped working after a few days. Wanted to install SMA, but installed Fronius because the salesman highly recommended it because of its WIFI capabilities. Not happy Fronius!!!

Considering the amount of money spent on the Fronius inverter, plus the extra $400+ for the smart meter to actually get any useful data from the inverter, you'd think the pro app would come free as standard. This free app has very basic information and frankly not worth the download.

Also not easy to find tarrif inputs. Finally figured it out need to be on home network to get system monitoring and can set tarriffs on there..better instructions please

I have a Nexus 5x with the latest flavour of Andoid (6.01) and could not get past step 1 of 3 in the set-up wizard. After giving up after much wasted time, I tried setting up with my Windows PC. That wasn't straight forward either, but I got there in the end. Once my PC was set up, the Android app began working. So, moral of the story? Don't start with the app.

Unstable app and it says"error" as I'm trying to connect my inverter

Provides accurate and up to date data from my Inverter as expected. I have the occasional connection issues but that seems to be from the inverter rather than the app.

Our symo is detected buy is not displayed. Manual setup not possible. Many instances of the app not reacting when clicking back etc.

I can't see stats, daily production and all the other information of previous months or years as i used to... since this app changed to the new version i rarely open this app
