Unintuitive from the start. I understand that many apps are created to fill a need of the person who created it, but this app is just not good.

K70%
by K####:

Very simple and easy to use, dose everything I want it to. Would be even better if it had a widget and task bar shortcut so I don't have to unlock my phone to pause and resume.

K70%
by K####:

Loads of fancy and shiny audiobook players on the market but this shines above the rest with its simplicity.

Great app. Been using it for years. Only issue is that there doesn't seem to be any way of removing it from the notification area since a recent update. So it keeps auto-playing. Please fix. Thank you!

It use to be the best audio book player in the Google play. Now there is problem over the problem. Bottoms are disappearing, player do not react on clicking the commands, get access to my audio books list to change the title is almost impossible. Grate example how to destroy something that worked nicely into oblivion header

N70%
by N####:

Not fun. Constantly writes "This book is not available at the moment."

Can't find a folder called audiobooks on my sd card.

Just as advertised

N70%

Best thing is though, it reads ALL Audiobook files on your device whether they're on an external sd card or internal. You don't have to tell it to go to such and such folder to look for them. Thats a feature I was looking for specifically as I have a ton of audiobooks all over the place. I've tried just about every player available. IDK Why some of the more complex players seem to have not realised the importance of this feature. So well done Dev's & thank you very much, Highly recommended app!

I love how this app keeps it simple and does just what's it is supposed to, which is to play audiobooks. The sleep timer being on as a default annoyed me bit in the beginning, but it easily disabled and I can recommend enabling the option to only scan folder named audiobooks. The adds in app the free version didn't bother me, but I have bought it anyway as I found it to be just like I want it :)

Perfect for listening audiobooks. You may probably need more features to listen music, but I use it for books only and it's great!

Works fine but keeps fading out can't stop it

This audio book player is very good for simple books. I have a stack of podcasts (Planetary Radio) that I want to listen to, and alas, it didn't pay attention to the .m3u file, nor did it present the 135 .mp3 files in alphabetical order. (which, since they were dated files, would have put them in order). There was also no way to find the file I wanted. I would buy the version in the market if it had those features. (Well, it seems that it sorts the files in alphabetical order based upon the name in the trac

This has been my go to player for years but since the last android update this app has been draining my battery like crazy. I dunno what happened but it went from the lowest drain app on my phone to the highest by far. Any chance of fixing this? I dont want to use another player but if i fall asleep with this on my phone is dead by morning even with a five minute sleep timeout...

H70%
by H####:

Constantly forgets where my audiobooks folder is. **Totally useless.** This is a nice player and has forwards and backwards buttons, and it has a button so that you can go to the next track or previous track ***The biggest problem is you cannot select your folder to play.*** You can select that it will only look in the "audiobooks" folder, but it can't find that folder.

i have tried a couple of different audio book players but this is the best. Consistent operation without problems.

I have been using it for years without any major glitches. My only feature request would be notification bar pause/play button

I have to leave this (once) awesome audiobook player. The constant skips in the end of chapters along with the sudden stop/starts finally defeated me, another audiobook player has me now sadly..

Ingen tvekan. Ni som tycker den är ful. Den är till för att lyssna på böcker med, inte för att läsa. Stäng av skärmen och spara batteri ;)

I got some sort of odd behaviour though.. Sometimes it skips 20-30 secs of the end of a file and sometimes it just stops so I have to press either the power or volume buttons to resume.. android 4.4 and a one+1 phone.

Very well designed. I use it constanly. Support this program! Best features are: automatic play/pause headphone detection and pause/resume on phone call or alarm interruption, bookmarks all books so you can skip between books and pick up where you left off, can lock interface orientation so you don't have to look where the buttons have moved, book chapters are always in order, sane and simple controls with just the right tweakability. Just the right mix to make this a truely useful app.

I used this app with a Galaxy S Captivate with no problems, but when I upgraded to a Galaxy S3, I suddenly encountered many problems, one of which was that the program regularly paused after a period of time when the screen was black, and required pressing the start button to start it again. (Yes, I turned off the automatic pause function.) The program paused when the earphone was unplugged, but didn't resume when the plug was reinserted. I don't recall for sure, but I think when I got a phone call, and it paused, it didn't resume when the call ended. The short advance arrow, caused the program to advance to the next file and then 10 seconds more. I forget what the short back arrow did, but don't think it worked right either. When I used the position bar. it seemed to move the position of the playing program, but when I removed my finger, it would go back the be beginning of the file. It would erratically change the file position when the program closed and was opened again. None of these problems happened in several years of use with my Captivate. I think that audiobook player 2 just does not work correctly with Android 4.0. I paid for the commercial version.

I have been using this app for a long time now (over a year) and it has always been consistent, easy to use, and problem-free. Highly recommended!

It annoyed me. It have great potential and I wanted to like it. But it starts playing without pressing the play bottun, I cannot use the bottuns on my headset which makes it even harder to stop the track when it starts on its own. It's frustrating

T70%
by T####:

Worked fine on 3 prev phones. Now instead of immed. playing next track, just silence until I press button to light screen. EVERY time! EDIT: reinstalled cos other book players just didn't have the same features. Couldn't live without it. Maybe I can beat the delay bug.

For audiobooks at bedtime, this is beautifully implemented and the best around. Suggestions: 1. Folder structure is essential! Book listeners don't mix chapters from here and there, and already have the structure they want. Why make them muck with album names if they don't want? 2. Why limit the sleep times to multiples of 5minutes? Let the user type what they want, at least a a "custom" option--you can't predict it. But really great, with lots of beautifully thought-out touches for such a clear UI.

This App is amazing has a really clean and simple interface. Love the sleep function that allows you to postpone by shaking! However, since upgrading to android 2.2 the App does not respond to bluetooth headset commands. Cant play, pause or skip with headset. PLEASE fixed because forced to use other Apps that have BT functionality.

Rename .m4b files to.m4a and they play fine. Dev could score some points by adding that to the file filter. Love the sleep feature, perfect for anyone who goes to sleep listening to books.

I loved the program in the past but then my phone was reset when repaired and when I reinstalled the app I found that my previous donation no longer applied and that I would need to donate again to remove all future adds. I have changed phones and reset several times since then which would have cost me a lot of money to keep away the adds with this app. So look at other audio book apps first.

Does what an audiobook player should... nothing more. Light weight no extra crap to slow it down

This app was pretty good before, but the recent UI changes have made it even better. Love the big buttons and the partial lock. Awesome work, Fred!

I love this player but ever since upgrading to android ice cream sandwich I've had trouble with losing the audio when I reopen the player. I have to restart to get the audio back. Seems to happen when I go in and out of WiFi zones. HTC Vivid.

Very good program..the best audiobook player I can find in fact. I would like to see a feature allowing me to change playback speeds and bookmarks that stayed if I swap books and swap back. I would recommend this app.
