Business Insider for Android
Decent news aggregation app. But it's clunky and freezes up frequently. When you go back, it takes you to the main feed, not the previous article, so you lose your place. Also, I prefer articles that are written by real journalists who are neutral politically. Too many politically slanted articles for a "business app". If I wanted that, I would go to Fox News or MSNBC.
It's ok if you don't want the right side of the political spectrum. All the stories and articles clearly favor the left. I like reading from both sides so I keep this one for that reason. But they are always bashing the right and President Trump (he apparently doesn't do anything right).
App is HORRIBLE. If you leave the app in the middle of an article, you will find yourself back on the home page when you come back to resume your article. Featured articles also contain very heavy left-wing biased material, although if you dig deep you can find unbiased articles
One sided story, treat reader as stupid no brainer. The writer in news are not wise, they have a strong stand but based on a stupid reason. Not reporting news neutral nor some even important.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this app. I do enjoy business news, but this actually has a much wider range of articles that are really interesting and well written. I'd encourage anyone who might assume this app would be boring to give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
Hello developers, I am using this app on OnePlus 5. On leaving the app and returning back, it takes me to the top of the article instead of staying put at the location where I left from. Kindly address this shortcoming/issue.
I want to Like this app. Notifications not overwhelming but do bring up important issues. But in the past few months, the app frequently hangs making it impossible to read more than the first page of an article. So I now pretty much avoid using the thing. BI support says that there is a major re-architecting of the app underway that will fix this (now widely reported) problem.
Decent app. Sometimes it shows duplicate stories. Sometimes it doesn't update quickly. Very difficult to find an old article you wanted to revisit. Good content but overall, the format and ease of navigation is just okay.
Difficult to connect with slow connections. Too much needs to open before reading. Maybe a more basic version is required. Otherwise a hood app
The articles are blatantly bias. They find a way to bash Trump in every single article, even in articles that would typically have nothing to do with the President. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Trump. It's just cringworthy. But if you disregard all the biases it's actually a well written and very informative app.
The news is fine (it's no WSJ, but they have some interesting coverage now and again), but the app is horrendous. If I leave it open but lock my phone, it leaves the article I was reading and goes to the main page. Once on the main page, no amount of tapping opens an article. I need to close the app and reopen it in order to access articles. On reopening the app, the articles to select from have changed, so I now have to dig to find what I was interested in. All in all a horrible experience.
Decent app but, but doesn't refresh my screen when touched. So when power saver kicks I have to find and start the article all over again
I like to view in landscape on my tablet. Seems like a recent update forces portrait mode on some articles. Also stopped using on laptop, because it kept complaining about ad block, even after I whitelisted the url. As a result, just not using BI very much.
It's an OK app, everything works fine for the most part but it sure would be nice if I could view things in landscape mode with my phone.
I like the idea on how the content leaves up to the decision makers to buy or to sell a product. A one-minute pitch is a tough sell. Business Insider happens to do that very well. In terms of key questions that are important for us to see the insights from the given content.
Only problem is that when the screen turns off, the app refreshes back to the main page - losing your spot on whatever article you were reading.
Business Insider has strayed away from its original mission of just reporting to one sided political opinion comentary. I'm going elsewhere for my news.
Heavy on the trump news but I really enjoy the prompts. The app tends to have international news and reviews on American news at least 30 minutes before other news apps
Does anybody usability test this app? There's tiny graphics that you can't zoom in to see. And videos that won't play. All of the content is within BIs own site and their own browser... so you think they could manage their own content?
Good app though I don't like that it refreshes to the home screen if my phone locks. I've lost track of several articles because of this.
Lots of varied news stories from around the world. There are not many high quality free news apps out there, but this certainly is one
Liberal bias was evident immediately. And I still have the CNBC app so I'm obviously willing to tolerate some bias, but this was too much
BI app on installed from Google Play is not working. After it is installed, on opening it says - "Failed to load data'. Please advise.
It is very useful for studying English. By the way, this app provides many good economic news for curiouser and many different areas. I hope it forcus more on startup news.
Great app with so many great articles. I wish I can just save an article for reading later right away from its title by long pressing the title so I don't have to open the article first. Add this feature for 5 star rating
Business Insider has become so focused on American politics, boring Trump news and products promoted on Amazon. I get nothing useful from the app any longer, nothing like what it used to be pre-2014...
This app used to work just fine until it is failing to load data despite a strong internet connection. All other apps are working just fine
It is irritating when i finished an article and back to the home, i always found on top of the page and need to scroll again.
The app drained 3GB of my data by just working in the background! This is shocking. I lost all my data before I noticed it.
Clicks on notification stories don't open. Videos aren't playing. Not related to the app, and not reflected in my rating, BI is also biased news.
Glitchy, unreliable. Headlines will open, but often freeze. App reloads periodically, disabling or freezing previous articles.
So far I've noticed no political biased in stories on politics something that is a must for me to make decisions I need the information and just the information. And very informative articles that get straight to the point. As well as a large volume of topics it covers.
The app switches to vertical display and will not rotate back to horizontal (even with auto rotate enabled) which makes it awkward to view on my Android tablet. Otherwise it's pretty good.
Nice app. Images related to article helps readers to visualize the event / situation. Would like to see more images at the end of the news / article / opinion
Unstable on my device. Stories are good if I could ever get the app to be stable enough to read one.
An alternative news feed with both US and UK stories covering range of politics and economics. Would like to revise ordering by subject though.
This app never works. It freezes constantly and I can never read articles.
One star because it annoyingly keeps asking me to "rate this app" and I had already rated it.
One of my favourite news apps. Wide range of informative news from tech to finance to advertising to retail. Keep it up!

Business Insider is outstanding. I use it for business and to educate myself. I prefer website too app because it's more stable. In a world where "Nothing is Real and Everything is Possible", it's very helpful to have BI and their writers! Just read an article in Business Insider today by Linette Lopez: "Sheryl Sandberg's Russia talk was an insult to to our intelligence".
