London Evening Standard

It stopped updating on 22nd June and I have sent feedback about this via the email address in "Send Feedback" within the app. Although I have had responses from them they haven't solved the problem and are now ignoring my emails. I see I'm not the only one with this problem. Just sort it out please

So, all my other news apps (BBC, Sky etc.) update their content. Not so, the ES app. Despite pulling the screen down and the little wheel going round, it still thinks it's December 2016. Bizarre. And needs fixing.

Used to use this back in the day on my blackberry and it was great. thought I'd try again and it's terrible. Takes ages to load articles, I suspect because of the incessant adverts that constantly are loading. Tried to use it for a day before uninstalling.

Hasn't updated now for five days. Just rubbish. Will uninstall very soon. Have emailed them and they just don't care

I have just given up. Evening standard has died after brexit. Although I re-installed the app. It's still stuck on 23 June. New phone and who wants yesterday's paper? Worst ever news app

Pointless. Is stuck with old news which can't even be updated. Don't bother.

Not good enough for a daily paper to have the same headline from a few days back.

The app doesn't update. Simple as that. You can download a PDF version of the day's paper but the news on the app's feed doesn't update. Can't give anything but one star.

Nice 'clean' news app, far less 'clutter' the some other news apps, not too many adverts, and doesn't need any permissions. Don't know why people say it doesn't update, it seems to be updating. The only problem I have is the videos don't play, otherwise I'd give 5 *s

You get the headlines in your notifications but when you open the app, you are still looking at the same stories from when the app received it's last bug fix

It fails to update content. So it's always out of date. It sucks.

I read London evening standard on the web, unfortunately this app is poor. It about time evening standard does something with their app and bring it up to the same standard like the guardian and daily mail apps

I gave a 2 stars rating back in February 2017. Back to the same rating now 6 months later as the same issue persists: some days the app updates the news content, and some days it doesn't. Mostly doesn't update.

The app hardly ever displays the latest articles despite numerous refresh attempts, instead normally a week or so out of date. Only use it for the crossword

Does not update anymore unless you uninstall and reinstall. Also all pictures do not dowload anymore. No support!!

I downloaded it for the puzzle page crosswords etc but they have disappeared !!! What has happened ???

Opened app to find news from 13th September! Re-installed the app, opened it and, apparently, nothing newsworthy has happened since the 13th September!

Uninstalled. It doesn't update and ES haven't bothered to fix it.

I want to read the equivalent to the ES paper but the optimized articles bare no resemblance to the newspaper. Please take a leaf out of the the Metro app.

Having installed the app on my phone there is no icon for it. The only way to access it is to go to the playstore, search for it and tap open! There is an icon on my tablet but not on my phone!!!

I used to love this app, once upon a time. Now it does not update, at all. Everyday I try but to no avail. The only way to get the latest news is to uninstall and then reinstall. C'mon Evening Standard sort it out..

Content and layout is very good, a massive pity that it doesn't update daily. For a daily newspaper to not have this capability is moronic, uninstalling!

It's always been an awful App, but now it doesn't even update. It's absolutely useless.

Still showing the edition frm when I last installed it. Don't know how to get it to update. The crosswords update every day but the "easy crossword" is missing.
