MyFreedomPop for Android
App literally has had a MAJOR overhaul, it finally correctly reports information about the freedompop devices I have on my account. Good job devs. As for those complaining, not sure of your specific problems. As for my devices, its confirmed working and reporting accurate information on the HTC M7, M8, A9, 10 rooted. Mind you running Android versions 4.4.4-7.0.1
I like the layout and the ease of navigation, but the account information available on this app is not at all accurate. For example, the app shows that I have PremiumPlus service active, but the website shows that I have NO active services; or how the app shows that my downgraded free plan contains 2Gb of original data with fudged usage to match my actual data available.
Unlike many of the reviews here, I'm only going to focus on this app, not the service. It's actually pretty simple: for me, the app simply didn't work. After logging in, I'm presented with a "Device Selection" dialogue which eventually times out saying "Operation couldn't be completed at this time." Useless.
Login fails every time on Android 6.0.1 with Boost Mobile Galaxy S5. I just reset my password. Tried old and new password. "Login failed"
FreedomPop is cheap service and I'm not sure you get what you pay for. My phone has stopped receiving incoming messages twice now in three weeks.

I rarely take the time to criticize these kinds of things (I don't like to waste time moaning), but this app/service was infinitely worse than any other I've ever known or heard of. This is not a case of one glitch, instead, everything that could probably go wrong, has gone wrong. I recently returned to the UK, and a family member of mine set this service up for me. Firstly, this service requires you to install this specific "FreedomPop" app before you can even make calls or send texts, and to manage your account. Without this app, you can't do those things. I'm not aware of any other mobile network like this, and don't understand why this hassle offers any benefits to a customer, but OK, this much I can deal with. After installing the app, I could make and receive calls, but not texts. Then I found that another SEPARATE app needs to be installed for this (why not have all these features in ONE app?). So I did that as well, and I think it works. That was yesterday. Today, I found I couldn't make calls, so I tried several times to install a 3rd app from MyFreedomPop specifically for making calls, and was told there was an "installation error" every time. Then I discovered that when I was not connected to a WiFi network, I could make calls (but when I was connected, I could not). Incomprehensible. Basically, trash from A to Z. At least the service is free, but it does not compensate for the time I feel I have wasted.
Sorry gang, service was unusable, constant server errors and totally unreliable. Also got a recurring charge that I specifically made sure I was not signed up for, ended up cancelling the card payment was attached to...got a prompt cancellation notice tho, you guys have a long way to go or find a new game
I paid $250 for phone and a years worth of service with all the extra upgrades. I'm getting exactly an $11 per month service. Calling out is a 50/50 shot, I'm constantly losing connection, and I'm forced to use their buggy pre-installed apps to send messages. Brief periods of frustration aside, I'm getting exactly what I'm paying for. Simply set your expectations low, and you won't be disappointed
Don't get, FreedomPop will just charge your account and not tell u-repeatedly. Default is set at auto top up & they don't mention that ANYWHERE-& to remove it costs an additional, unmentionable $5.00. It's crap, & never have had a ticket answered/replied to.

Sending messages and calling has been buggy and frustrating. Service is horrible despite using the same AT&T tower the GoPhone sim card uses. Not a good deal or situation any way you look at it. This app isn't half of what Hangouts is in terms of quality and reliability. No thanks, I'll just keep a job and pay a little more for actual phone service.
Service works as intended. Sim card works in at&t phones, with that said, i was able to use freedompop data/text/calls ONLY after i updated the APN information on my phone. Instructions for the CORRECT APN INFORMATION is located on the packaging that the sim card came in.
I had two Sim cards sent to me, one activated not without hassle. Had number changed to that Sim. Put away second Sim for later with another number. Put extra Sim in new 4g lte unlocked pad and after hours of crap I found out my number associated with this card was given to someone else and I couldn't login to app. Finally found this out when I called my number and someone else answered. Grrrr
Sucks! Lol "Free Service" They manage to charge every penny they can, dont allow a way to prevent overages, and once you finally prevent the overages, there is absolutely no service! Cant even place/receive a call for over a year, this shiny phone now goes to my kids.
So far unhappy with FreedomPop and I want my money back I have only had it 2days...OMG now that I am reading all these reviews I'm horrified!!!! It's a 30day guarantee and for some reason after reading all these comments I have a feeling I'm screwed out of my money!!!! Way 2 Sucker Folks FreedomPop!!!!
This company is bullshit. 2 months in a row I've had to spend a week or more fighting with them to get my data up and running. This time around I just said screw it and told them to cancel my account, I'll find a company with better customer service
Crashes as soon as it has a opened. This company only allows you to contact support of you pay them.As soon as you give them the phone number you are calling them from, they block the number.. SCAM

Doesn't seem to keep track of anything, I know I've used talk and messaging but the app hasn't counted any of it.
Using free plan, works great for those that know how to use I. I see a lot of crap about auto top off, but, at least on my free plans, that only charges you when you go below100mb of data on your account. Also you can add friends to your account to increase your free data amount by 500mb for free every month
Sometimes works sometimes doesn't. You get the services you pay for. Free service is limited. Don't buy a HTC Desire 510 4GB version!!! Once you install the freedompop messenger, myfreedompop app and frerdompop diagnostics you only have space for 1 or 2 apps and you can't install most apps to SD card.
used to work on my s5 it just keeps clocking and says accessing device never does have to log in on pc ohhhh well

Caused a problem preferring to reconnect to a local free hotspot with no services, at a location where I was already subscribed to a paywall and connected to the internet. HAVE to detect and serve better operation!
