Free A Billion is uniting Mumbaikars to raise our voice against a broken city government that has resulted in the decline of the city. We are demanding respite from a 19th-century archaic law, BMC Act of 1888, that ruins Mumbai today.

Free A Billion is pioneering discussion on the need for new rules based on modern needs and global research to usher in progress for Mumbai. We believe that citizen participation, accountability, transparency and enforcement should be the pillars of any government. But when governments evade this basic code, citizens bear the heavy price.
