الجيش السوري الحر هو قوة عسكرية أعلن تأسيسه ضباط مُنشقون عن الجيش العربي السوري في تاريخ 29 تموز 2011 لحماية المُتظاهرين السوريين»، تحت قيادة العقيد المُنشق رياض موسى الأسعد. قام الجيش السوري الحر لاحقا بعدة هجمات على أهداف أمنية في مدن مختلفة.
