What's Changed
Focus 1.2.1
Once upon a time there was a developer who worked his butt off for a new and magical release.
The developer had high hopes that his users would be very happy about all the revolutionary improvements of the new update.
The developer wasted 30 minutes writing a detailed change-log for his users convenience.
The developer couldn't help the users because the Play Store limits this to 500 chars.
Thanks Obama.

Coming from Quickpic, and without doubt purchased the pro version. Just a problem with vault feature ; it just hide photos inside the Focus app only. When I open instagram or whatsapp, the photos that I secured in vault still appeared. My suggestion is to hide the photos too like in Quickpic. Then this app will be perfect gallery app :)

M70%
by M####:

Can't delete pics. Pointless. If you can't delete a photo, the app CANNOT replace gallery (stock app). Took a picture of tomatoes, can't delete it, so I have to open gallery to do so. Why do I have focus then?

U70%
by U####:

Bought the premium key for the Vault, but it turns out it makes no sense, because you can view the secured photos on any other app... Total waste of money. Use Google Photos, at least that is a decent app...

S70%
by S####:

Bought the full version of the app. For the first time ever when I went to go open the app, had a 5 sec delay and than a full screen ad appeared. Also went to go but a tag on 3 photos and all of a sudden they got corrupted and I cannot open them or even view.

After a short research I found this app and at first it seemed great, Simone to use and with a nice organization method. Unfortunately I've found a flaw that ruined this app to me, IT DELETES VIDEOS I TAG! Tried contacting the dev but it's been over a week and no answer.. Lost a very precious video to be and am frustrated.

It was great until I upgraded. First I couldn't make custom tags. I uninstalled, restarted, then couldn't reinstall. Found a weird folder, deleted it, then I was able to install. App still won't make custom tags. So I tried again to reinstall. It won't begin the install and there's no weird folder this time. It would be a perfect app if it'd work. I just wasted my money.

I really like this app, so much so that I paid for premium. However, the app is still not letting me add my own custom tags. Please solve this problem and do not disappoint my enjoyment of this app.

Replased QuickPic for me. The only con is the Vault feature: everyone still can see my hidden pics in any uploading menu or file manager

C70%
by C####:

great app, especially with gallery missing from Android 6. awesome features and layouts. however, the security measures are buggy (no point in the fingerprint option if the app won't accept the fall-back security code). I've been trying to scroll through my photos but it won't let me no matter how often I restart my phone. this is essentially rendering the app useless because of the lock on shortcuts, etc.

S70%
by S####:

This app worked well when I bought it, but now every time I view a photo full screen it becomes completely non-responsive, which makes the app essentially useless. Update: It started working better. I'm guessing because of an update, but I moved some photos to the hidden vault section and it deleted all of them. Geez.

J70%
by J####:

The app has a lot of potential. I was really looking forward to reading my photos but doesn't seem to work. It does not actually apply the tags to the image metadata, so kinda useless to me. Would be nice if I had access to the tags once I uploaded the photos to my computer. Plus the custom tags crash even though I paid for the app.

M70%
by M####:

Love everything about it from the dark theme to the performance. It would be awesome if we can select photos by tapping and holding to activate the select feature, then dragging our finger across those set of photos. The dragging feature would still work even if you touch a photo elsewhere in the gallery. Edit: Needs a free crop mode. Please add it in a future update. :)

S70%
by S####:

This app has a solid foundation, and with further support I can see it rivaling Photos, but it's not very polished and streamlined yet. It takes 45-60 seconds just to open up, which is unacceptable. Some basic editing features such as crop or rotate would be good too.

S70%
by S####:

Priceless your What's New really made me laugh. Sorry about those 500 characters. This app is amazing it's my default! However it won't recognize my Proshot Camera photos. How do I fix this? Also I once paid for premium now we have to subscribe!?

N70%
by N####:

Not updated since... ever! they just changed to Christmas icon... developer could have died... it has a problem with videos, they can run one time, then they stop and when you press play to run again it just stuck... an Amoled friendly theme could be nice

S70%
by S####:

A beautifully designed gallery app! Its tag feature is a godsend for organization-crazy people like me. Although Focus is not without a few short-comings, like a clunky GIF or video player. Also the fact that you can't use custom crop sizes is kind of an inconvenience.

S70%
by S####:

This only found three image folders on my phone. There's no way to manually add extra. Not great. I wanted to like it because of the fingerprint security but never mind.

S70%
by S####:

When using the vault to lock photos, it does absolutely nothing to prevent other photo apps from viewing the photos. I reached out to support after paying money for this feature and never got a response. Don't waste your time with this app or developer.

S70%
by S####:

Just wondering why Instagram appears to show photos I've vaulted. Is it pulling thumbnails from a cache or something, or does it ignore whatever permissions focus has applied to its vault directory? 5 stars if this is fixed.

R70%
by R####:

I'd give it five starts if not for a few very annoying niggles. Focus auto rotates pictures even when there's a rotation lock. If you tap on a picture and press back you get thrown to the top of the folder. And rotating an image is unnecessarily convoluted. Fix this stuff devs!

K70%

Agreed it's beautiful and easy to use. I had made it my default gallery. But everytime I delete images, those images are gone from this app but are still there in file manager and other gallery apps. Mine is Marshmallow OS. SD card access is granted still deleting is not working. Also this app takes so much time to load images and we have to manually refresh for seeing newly taken photos. Looking forward to new updates.

J70%
by J####:

I really appreciate the intuitive approach of the app to display the images, but no option to move from one collection to other, i mean from folder to folder. It is all driven by tags, and collections can be in different folders, so an option to move around pics into different folder is basic. You must also include an option to display based on tags or based on folders, now everything is mandated on user. Also, when you have a vault, u should also jave a way to hide that existence else it makes no sense

Smooth, awsome design, awsome interface. Even the free version is better than most apps there. The only problem is that the swipe in home screen, swiping left trough an album previews, most of the time, The app receives a swipe up/down instead of scrolling the album Oh and The sorting of pics in the album on the homepage is weird.. should have a quick delete option when viewing an image. melhor performance e pequenas melhorias na sensibilidade dos gestos e está perfeita

Nice, clean, quick responsive and organised app for viewing ALL the photos on your phone! I found a few hundred photos still on storage even I thought I delete them for space. Very good for organising the photo and videos. This is how a Photo Gallery should work! Thank you!

This app doesn't even has an option to change the phone wallpaper like Quickpic does... Really disappointing, i don't know what is the good thing this app offered for it in-app purchase. Theme? Vault with password? Quickpic has it all for free. As for now Quickpic has the best feature compared to other similar pict-choosing and gallery app. It can change phone wallpaper without loosing the wallpaper quality like other app. Experienced on CM12-13 based rom.

K70%
by K####:

Can't change any tag - fc, and editing (cropping) won't save. In fact it does nothing just hangs when I hit save and does nothing only leaving the app helps. Too bad I bought it since two things I wanted most doesn't work...

K70%
by K####:

Once you choose to tag your photos using metadata, there's no going back as you can't delete the tag and it sits in your gallery. My gallery is now full of useless tags. The metadata found by the app doesn't appear anywhere in my photo's EXIF data when I checked using another app either. Also the cropping tool is way too fiddly. What happened to simple draggable handles? You can't move your photos to a different folder either. The app looks great but it needs a lot of improvement

K70%
by K####:

...but it has far too many flaws. Constantly crashing when trying to create custom tags and its pretty slow. I love the idea and it could be one of the best, it just needs some polishing off before referring to yourself as a superstar. So far I've paid for the premium and not got much for it. I'll hang on to it in the hope of some bug fixing updates.

M70%
by M####:

Tag system is confusing. Not all photos were autotagged and no way (I can find) to tag them from within the app. However the ui is really good... Please add the option to disable tagging and use regular folders.

K70%
by K####:

I'd love to see the tags stored to the images' EXIF data (or at least an option to do so) so that the data is synched to my main photo repository in Windows. Tagging the photos does little for me if I cannot use these tags in my long term archive.

K70%
by K####:

I love the app since it's exactly what I want, but it has a few nasty bugs like creating a tag without color crashes the app. Feedback is on the way and suggestions too (please give us search/filter :3)

K70%
by K####:

Important things that degrades the quality. One, can we delete the pre made tags? Two, can we create folders? The secret vault is a joke. You hide pictures within the app but that's all. I still can access them everywhere else. The goal to hide them is so that everyone else could NEVER see them. Poor app has potential but not there.

K70%
by K####:

Works fine and shows pictures by folder which is all I want really. Google photos doesn't so that's why I was looking for something alternative. So far only thing I wish was that you could crop to any aspect ratio by dragging crop box. App only lets you pick from predetermined aspect ratios. Kind of a bummer since I always want to crop like just a Facebook post from a screenshot that can be any random height.

K70%
by K####:

When video grouping is turned off, the thumbnail pictures all link to the wrong full size images. Tried clearing out app data and cache, but it's still the same. Basically, the app becomes unusable after that. This is the only issue that prevents me using Focus as my main photo viewer.

K70%
by K####:

It is really disappointing to see that even after buying the paid version, i am unable to create new tags. Everytime i try to add a new tag the application force closes. It shows my screenshots in recents, i have never seen a gallery app show screenshots along with the camera pics. It really ruins the viewing experience of my gallery. Really feel cheated and am asking for a refund. Don't buy the paid version.

K70%
by K####:

Go-to app on my Galaxy S5, but since upgrading to the S7 Focus seems unable to convey the quality of the S7's camera. Stylish design still beats stock gallery apps for quick use, but until quality issues are fixed, mainly using the core app for proper viewing.

K70%
by K####:

The only thing missing is better control over cropping photos. Other than that, this is by far the best gallery app I've found. Fast and easy to use. The vault helps to keep pictures out of view from prying eyes.

Q70%
by Q####:

App is incredibly slow to start up. When moving pictures around different folders there is never any indication that the picture moved until the app is restarted. UI is pretty good, though. UX needs a lot of work

N70%
by N####:

I have no issues with the way this app functions but will it ever connect to Google photos? Until then it's useless to me.
