THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLINIC

- Contraception clinics: Offer a range of contraceptive methods (including emergency contraception); provide information and advice about planning a pregnancy, unplanned pregnancy and referral for abortion.

- Emergency contraception clinics: Provide emergency contraceptive methods free of charge.

- Infection testing (GUM) clinics: Offer free sexual health tests and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Can provide advice about safer sex and can refer for sexual and relationship problems.

- Contraceptive clinics for young people: Age restricted clinics that offer a range of contraceptive methods (including emergency contraception), provide information and advice about unplanned pregnancy and referral for abortion. Free chlamydia tests and treatment may also be available.
