Great show selection is where the good times end. Presto app on Galaxy S7 running 6.0.1 - if wifi cuts for a fraction, show hangs and returns to start of ep when it picks up again. Constant buffering. Sound playing on frozen screen. Come on guys - I want to like you!! EDIT: Another similar review posted in October 2015. Nearly a year to sort it out?! Clear your dev team and start fresh. It's not working for you.

Buffers too often on ANY platform I've tried using it on. Sound plays on a frozen screen. Video plays on silent. I've tried contacting Presto who are more concerned with my operating system than my concern. The app itself works fine, the content is quite plentiful, but the quality of the paid product needs more work, and this I yes coming from someone who got a free 6 month trial. It's taken maybe 6 hours to watch 4 hours of content because I kept thinking it was me. Switching tablets. Tried my desktop. My laptop. It's not the app, it's the product. It's just not ready for the consumer yet.

ok, so granted it's the first time i've tried Presto but it wasnt a veryo good experience. Set up was easy enough but man, I could whats with the buffering. 30+ secs of buffering followed by less than 15secs of veiwing followed by another 30secs of bufering and it so on it goes. So i go to your technical contacts and that just freezes. So, yeh, guess i wont be renewing subscription. Iveiw, Tenplay, You tube all of them trouble free veiwing. much better than this . Sorry guys.

You have an amazing range of content, I just can't watch any of it. When I go to search the title of a TV show/film I've either watched before or am currently watching, the app tells me 'no items found' as if it isn't there. When I go through the categories to find whatever it is I'm looking for, I press the play button and nothing happens, or it experiences an error.

I was really impressed with the Presto content that I planned to stop my Netflix subscription, but now I won't even continue after the free trial. App constantly logs out when I'm playing on chromecast. Some movies are worse than others. Don't waste your time and money. Stick to netflix and Stan.

First off, no Casting feature? Shouldn't that be standard in this industry by now? Secondly, what's the point of having an app that can stream thousands of titles, when every time you go to watch something there's an error message?? Just WHY?! A few bug fixes and feature implementation is all you need to make this app great.

C70%
by C####:

Hi guys, love the content you have. No qualms about it. But it's only great if you can watch it! The amount of lag and buffering (its not my internet as other streaming services are blazing fast) drives you to the point where I don't bother. I hope you're looking at a fix soon coz you will lose a bucket load of subscriptions. Guaranteed!

While there is a great selection of shows and movies, and the app works fine on telstra tv, whenever I try to watch something on my android tablet or phone, I am KILLED with buffering. It takes about 10 minutes to load a 40 min episode and if I try to jump ahead or back in the episode, it freezes and buffers constantly. This is using the same wifi connection and speed as the telstra tv so I can only assume it's an issue with the android app. Will not be continuing subscription once trial period has ended.

Good content. When will the missing Chrome Cast icon return? Using Galaxy Tab 10.3 and also S6 Edge and no icon. None of the work around ideas for this have worked either. ***Updated*** I found a work around. Go in to the Chrome Cast app itself and cast your screen. Go in to Presto and make your selection. The Cast icon appears!!! (no idea how this works but it does!)

I love the content so far, but I am limited in being able to watch it as I cant find an App for Presto on my WDTV LIVE or my Samsung B R media streamers.. They both have Netflix, Stan, & many others but not Presto. I can't even mirror screen Presto from my Samsung phone to my TV which I can do with the others. So unless I can find a way to watch it through my media streamers to the TV, I won't be renewing my subscription

Signup on website was super slow, never asked me to setup a password, only a pin. Tried to login but not with pin, i had to reset password and when i finally logged in and put my creditcard details all the shows were currently unavailable. Edit: suprisingly it was really easy to close my account, thats makes sense though; its probably the most used feature on their website.

I actually edited my previous post because I appreciate the effort you put on this app to make it better. However, still cant find that much of a content that makes me subscribe with you over netflix or other awsome tv apps. Please fix the casting to chromecast as its not working.

J70%
by J####:

I actually thought this version would work because it installed on a rooted Kaiser Baas Smart Media Player. But noooooo it doesn't because of some BS about it being connected to an external screen & asks to disconnect it WTF!!! IT IS MEANT TO BE CONNECTED TO THE TV. It is a box running Android not a phone or tablet.

C70%
by C####:

Although the content is good the app still needs improving. The casting button keeps disappearing on me and I need to restart the app multiple times until it reappears. Also, it doesn't always save where I'm up to when I stop mid episode which is quite annoying.

Sign up down load the app and hey presto it doesn't work on tablet or phone. How hopeless is this company??? Steer clear. Great reply below. I've done all that and heard nothing back and still doesn't work.instead of replying with this garbage why don't you read what people are saying and FIX THE PROBLEM!

Chromecast doesn't work almost all the time. This is an issue that has been reported to Presto at least 9 months ago and is still present. With the latest app update I now get the jailbroken device error, my device is not jailbroken. Good job guys. Presto is rubbish.

It worked fine with chromecast for the first few weeks but has not worked since. YouTube, Netflix and everything else work fine . Not PRESTO ): IT SUCKS . I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and logging in and out it just doesn't work. Also doesn't work at all on Samsung smart TV smart hub. Very disappointed

Love the selection and would be willing to continue after free trial if only I could log into my account....just sits there loading. Have tried several times on tablet and phone. Uninstalled, reinstalled...only got it last night. Had issues then and again tonight. If that was fixed 5 stars

C70%
by C####:

I am loving all the shows on presto but would be nice if I could watch them on my tv. Has only one come up with the chromcast symbol on the presto app. Can this issue be fixed asap becuase otherwise I will cancel my subscription. I have deleted and reinstalled app and still doesn't work

C70%
by C####:

It does not work on my Laser tablet it thinks it has been rooted...My tablet is not rooted and what does it matter if it is. I contacted support and got no response. This app also does not work on my Android TV box, it said I was streaming to an external video source...No I was trying to watch it on my tv. Netflix is way better, works on everything and great support. Presto sucks!

E70%
by E####:

I tried watching Mr robot and had little success at the end of an episode I would have to restart the app to play the next. As the app consistently claimed the episode was unavailable. Not a great first impression. Plenty of other services deliver content correctly. The error is ps401

This sleek interfaced online streaming app is an eye opener at first sight! Presto has a hell of a lot to offer when it comes to watchability, especially when it comes to streaming...! From a family of 8 and only 5 mgbps of broadband, this nifty app is like rocky in the sense of never giving up. The quality is beautiful and in HD without the added expense, and the movies load in seconds not minutes! I don't know how they do it but that quality doesn't drop! Presto is definitely the service to go to if you cannot find a movie to watch on Netflix. Although it has its errors (being logged out, but the movie still plays) it has a lot to offer, especially that Presto supports unmetred downloads if you're with Tesltra or Foxtel. Well done Presto, you guys are heading in the right direction.

Since joining presto this year, there has been three major outages. And I now have constant issues and in the last fortnight, often the app doesn't give me the option to cast. Pity because when it was working, it was great.

Note 4 user, logged in, had too many devices, replaced the windows device, it deregistered my wife's android phone instead and crashed my app, resulting in me no longer being able to open the app (even with phone restart).

G70%

Constant buffering, will not be renewing my subscription at this rate. Dont have this issue with either of the major two streaming sites. But this one 15 mins to watch 7 mins of tv. Save yourself the hassel and go somewhere else.

C70%
by C####:

Normally reviews talking about perpetual crashing are overblown by a vocal minority. Not in this case. This app is sleek and shiny right up until the moment you want to play a video. Then it crashes. This app should not have been released in such a state in which it cannot work on even a high-spec flagship phone such as my Note 3.

C70%
by C####:

There are many features that other streaming Apps have that this one doesnt, such as staying open in the top menu, rewinding back 30 seconds and remembering the correct spot where I was last watching. It is also slow to load. It would be nice to also be able to rate the shows you watch for other users. So overall I wasn't very impressed with the App.

bloody crap imposible to watch movies erors and buffering on computer and tablet! im going back to netfix and stan no problems ever with them! now i cant find where to cancel my account

C70%
by C####:

Just upgraded app and now kicked my phone off the device list. Then put it back on. And it didn't work so now i I'm stuck. This crap has been going in for months and the problems are endless. With dead links to shows, ti the app crashing constantly for a multitude if reasons. This is without a doubt the worst streaming app in Australia.

C70%
by C####:

The worst connection issues ever. Netflix always works fine. Presto is utter rubbish! Always up and down and never remembers where you are up to. Sign in issues. Buffering issues. Worse now than ever and I've moved to Fibre cable network. Better on my old adsl. I hope this is temporary! Frustration levels high.

C70%
by C####:

This streaming service is pathetic it constantly crashes. Wether I watch it on my PC, TV, Phone, Tablet. It is slow, unresponsive, lagging, glitchy and always crashes or freezes. Would give it zero stars if I could. Do not recommend!!!!!!...Also it has nothing to do with my internet connection as I can stream Netflix on every device in my house at the same time in hd

M70%
by M####:

Really quite stupid that I can't watch a single show on my mobile I pay a membership to just because it's rooted... But that being said, the app itself works perfectly fine and smooth on my device... Just not impressed with not being able to watch anything.

C70%
by C####:

I use an android phone, Samsung Note 5. Most of the time error comes up saying 'this video is not yet available, please try again later'. But when I play the same videos on my playstation there is no issue. Good shows you have but fix the app please. Its sad that Netflix and Stan have better apps and you have better shows than they do.

After receiving an email from Foxtel promoting Presto as part of my Platinum package, I registered and downloaded the application to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Well, it doesn't bloody work, even though Samsung devices with Android 4.1 (or higher) are listed as supported. The application says that I need a connection to the internet. How in the Hell do they think I downloaded the program in the first place, let alone posted this review. My tablet does not have (or support) a SIM, so the only method I use for connecting is WiFi.

D70%
by D####:

ERROR 500! ERROR 500! ERROR 500! That's all I get... on another note, you can only register 4 devices. One being my phone, another being my pc and the last two my Chromecast's... my wife loves that she can't watch it until 30 days is up where it will kick one of the other devices off the list. What a stupid way of access. I have to use my phone to watch it on the chromecast so that takes up 2 devices...

M70%
by M####:

To start with you don't jailbreak Android devices. Only enable root access. And every time someone speaks about a 4 device limit you put a preset comment about a device policy. Why can't you fix it? I have never been able to cast anything to my Chromecast and it makes the Chromecast go crazy!
