Calorie Counter - MyNetDiary for Android
This app is great! Has a lot of food that other apps don't have.
This app is a very good app . I will love to rate it .
Easy reminder to track intake.
I love this app. It's so simple to use. I love that it allows you to connect to Google fit so you can balance exercise with diet rather than just giving you a set number of calories which is hard to stick to. I have personally lost over 15lbs in my first month using this, I'm going to keep using it until I reach my target. I would recommend this to anyone who struggles with yo yo dieting
All I needed was a mechanism to make me realize just what I was eating. Because I was taking the time to enter the food, I began to think "is this the best decision" BEFORE I put the food in my mouth. It was also easy to navigate and previous foods are always available. I reached my goal easily. My only negative is that it decides what my daily calorie intake should be and I don't agree since I have a slow metabolism. I just override the count and ignore other suggestions it makes.
Great app to track your calories, carb, protein, fat intake. Even has a built in data base of most popular items and their nutritional values. There is a lot you can do with it in the free mode. I do not pay for this app but there are more advanced features if you do. I have recommended this app to many family and friends.
Brilliant. Lost 10kg in 6 weeks, in a sensible way. Been trying to do this for years, but with this app I finally managed it. Has changed my eating lifestyle habits too. Didn't need to subscribe because app did everything, but I was so happy with the results I subscribed out of gratitude - one month gym membership would be far more expensive than a year of this. Thank you! Best app ever. If there is one improvement it would be that the scanned food database could be updated quicker for submitted food, especially UK based, sometimes these don't match with very famous stores. Would also like the scanner to have an optional light and sound for more discreet scanning in public places.
Doesn't show up as "calorie counter" like the name would suggest. It is instead "mynetdiary" and took me several minutes of troubleshooting trying to find out why "calorie counter" wasn't showing up in my installed apps. Other than that, it's decent. Keeps trying to push their premium service on me and I'm not interested.
I wanted to get back to my healthy weight after a back injury, when I couldn't exercise and consequently ate too much. I started using the app to log my food and exercise on 29.9.2017 and reached my target of 15 lbs weight loss by 20.11.2017. Easy to use, but easy to cheat by not logging everything. Be honest with yourself and it works - brilliantly.
I started using my net diary on the computer and with early versions of the aI pp in 2012. I stopped tracking calories for the last 5 years, and have decided now to start tracking again. I love the newest version of the app! It is intuitive to use and learn. I like the recipe feature for when I'm cooking and need to know how much calories and nutrients it is. I also like the advice and article links provided daily. I would like there to be an easier way to toggle between meals in the same day, and I still would like to be able to connect to other people's account or recipes so that my wife and I could share recipe calorie counts.
Really Great app Ive been using it for a Month now and with this app its really easy to lose weight without big changes in your routine. I lost 6 lbs already. A little disappointed since they start taking away tools gradually and making them in apps purchase.
Good app. Does what it claims to do but requires a lot of time to keep up with it if you do a lot of tracking. Very slow transition time from one screen to another. Don't waste your time if you prepare from scratch unless you want to spend hours inputting your recipes.
Apart from the whole no maximum situation where I bought it and they took it off me the app itself is really Good, much better than the complex apps that's kicking about with less quality... well worth paying to subscribe.100% would get this if I was you (even though I already have But if I didn't and I was you and was reading this... I would buy it haha)
Great app user friendly. Not tried the paid version but will progress after few more weeks of use. Losing weight and making me think about food intake. Only criticism is that I wish you could log weight in stones and pounds instead of kg or total pounds but that's really a minor niggle!
It's very helpful! Some of the carb info for some products are off but it is still pretty good. I'd like it if it showed net carbs, too. Beggars can't be choosers! ????
Another update: STILL the best! It's the only tracker that let's me track my blood sugar readings. It works perfectly with Jawbone, as well as Fitbit. I know it works well with several others, but those are the two that I like. This is a really terrific app, and after several years, it still helps me maintain, and it has never disappointed me. Update: Still the best! Helping me to maintain! Older review: Over the course of losing over 125 pounds over 19 months, I have tried both Atkins Carb Counter, and My Fitness Pal, and was a long time user of the Fat Secret app. MyNetDiary has surpassed them all for me. It's a fabulous app that does exactly what I need to manage my diet choices.
This app stopped working properly since I last used it. I now cannot type in calories when creating a custom food... That's kind of important. The calorie field is there of course, but there appears to be a bug and I can only type in other fields, even when specifically choosing the "calories" section, the numbers I type literally appear elsewhere! At present, this app is more or less unusable because of this silly error.
The only issue I have with it is not being able to edit recipes in free mode. I'd gladly drop a few bucks for it for a version with that feature, but not the monthly fee they are trying to push, since the rest of the features that adds do not interest me.
I love its database and I also love the fact that I can enter in one of my own recipes for a calorie analysis if I decide to cook dinner that night. Makes losing weight so easy! I especially love that they have literally everything in the exercise database too - I can even enter calories burned from breastfeeding!
I prefer the layout and controls better than other such apps. But it does have a few quirks that are annoying and aren't getting fixed. I tried their solution of reinstalling the app and it worked fine for a day to so. What will happen is sometimes you'll log on and it'll show a week from now. Not thinking, you'll log your info. And only realize later that you've marked in the wrong date. Sometimes there's also random connection issues and the food won't populate.
I may be wrong but it seems to me that the majority of the foods listed by contributors, is wrong in calorie count. A person can fudge on the count when they create their own. Then, others seeking a food are lulled into a false calorie intake which doesn't help their diet. I suggest only allowing a contribution when its input by the bar code of the product. Also, I want to see a list of foods I ate that day and not simply a running total of calories on an apple.
The result of every update is more buttons to push. The result is no longer a streamlined mobile friendly app, but going around in circles with 3 or 4 clicks to get to something that used to be 1. Now there seems to be a border around the sections forcing words to be cut off until you click on the menu again. Keeps becoming harder to use due to increasing complexity at the expense of functionality.
This app has helped me keep on track with my eating, water intake and calories burnt... So far I've lost 60.7kg and this has been one of the most helpful tools to have. Follow my journey on ig beastmode_princess_loses_it
I've been using this app for a while after I had my baby, I've lost quite a bit of weight while using it, and it makes you realise how much you actually eat (So you can't be in denial) also how many calories are actually in things so you can't just say 'well it's only one cream cake' lol
Great app, easy to use to keep an eye on your calories intake, protein and fat. It has a good selection of food on there but it's also easy to scan in food barcodes or to add you own meals. Has really helped and motivated me to stick to my weight loss program.
Almost perfect. Needs ability to create custom meals or allow users to not have any meals. Also, like Cronometer, I would like MND to show source data for each entry, and give users an option as the where they want the data to come from. This is very important to me, as I want my data, especially for common items, to br coming from USDA, or NCCDB not from some unknown source. It helps you make sure that the data is accurate Another thing I would like to see is more accurate description names for items, especially for everyday generic items like apples, chicken breasts, grapes, etc. For instance, if I type in "Grapes," I want to see a result that says something like "Grapes, green, fresh" or similar, not "green grapes by Tesco". Use of commas would be nice. The fourth thing I would like to see is the ability to add restaurant items the way nutritionIX allows users to add items from restaurants, which is extremely nice quick, and efficient way of adding restaurant items. As a last thing I would like to see I would really like to see product verification stamps like Lose It or MyFitnessPal uses. Beyond that I really like the app, and is my favorite that I found thus far
It's easy to use. And I'm definitely going to renew my subscription. The free version is just as good as the paid version. The paid version just let's you control your macro breakdown
My net diary is so easy to use! Once you have accumulated your favorites it is even easier. No judgement, just a useful tool. Love it!
Every time need to have a wifi or 3G connection to download, makes it slow. At least shouldnot for favourite foods already entered.
Excellent for calorie counting but thats really it, following its suggested caloric guidelines i actually started to gain weight. Good calorie counter, not a great diet plan
This app is amazing. So quick and easy to use with loads of different foods, especially healthy foods in the system already. I love how it provides a weekly analysis as some days we overdo the calories..being able to look at the bigger picture keeps my motivation when I see that although I may mess up for a day, over the week it's not so bad...best calorie counting app Ive tried by a long shot!!!
I am obsessed! I lost 4# the first week just from logging my food. Basically the breakdown of macros makes me really consider what I'm missing out on and then I just make a dinner that fills in the gaps and I wake up half a pound leaner.
Works great for counting calories. Not so much with exercise and burning heart rate dosent work well either....but I love how it's really helping me gain weight and staying out of the danger zone!!
I never thought I would enjoy tracking my activities, but after a health scare I wanted to improve my health! This makes it easy and is full of resources!
Best app I have found, many are way off on nutrition data. I wish fiber was listed for goals and not a feature to have a subscription. I'd pay a one time price for features but not a subscription. I also wish you could share recipes with other users of the app so they could just put it in on their day since other users of this app are in my house and it would be easier for them for a meal.
It's easy to use. I only miss the app warn me about meals I did not entered. Otherwise it's great:)
Love the app. It helped me easily keep track pf calories and lose 25lbs. Only recommendation is to have a more cohesive choice of foods to imput. I have to double check what I'm imputing had the correct calories as what im eating.
I wanted this to track daily food consumption and exercise patterns. Some foods seem a bit odd in calorie count (as do some exercises) but overall I am extremely pleased with it. Simple to use, you can add custom foods and meals (makes it simple if you have same breakfast each day - just one entry). For free - it works extremely well.
A great and detailed app. Especially good are existing library of food products including many brands UK and us, and option to log customised food nutrition details- means you can stay on track and see where you are accurately even after homemade cookies!

I'm now addicted to tracking nutrients.
