The new FortiClient v5.4 Endpoint Security App not only allows you to securely connect to FortiGate (over IPSEC or SSL VPN) but now introduces Web Security features to protect your phone or tablet from malicious websites, or block unwanted web content.

FortiClient allows you to create a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection using IPSec or SSL VPN "Tunnel Mode" connections between your Android device and FortiGate. Your connection will be fully encrypted and all traffic will be sent over the secure tunnel. Endpoint Control feature can be used to provision the clients remotely using the FortiGate device. Web Security feature helps keep your phone safe from malware sites or other web content (adult, gambling, etc).

Please Note: Because of Android OS bug the VPN functionality will NOT work on Android OS v4.4.0, 4.4.1 and v4.4.2. Please upgrade to v4.4.3 or above to use VPN functionality.

I started using Fortinet a few years back. My company is now a gold partner in mssp program. I will never sell another security product. The mobile client is simple and functional. The only thing missing from a compliance standpoint is the ability to root the application and disable the ability to remove it. SQUARECOMPUTE

This program is solid FREE. One improvement I would recommend is that I would code this programme to alway users to get back to the desktop quickly by pressing the return key. That does work. The only way back is to press the home key.

The FortiClient app works great for connecting to VPNs and providing Web filtering. It is easy to setup and configure and can be setup in no time at all. The only downside is the Web filter does not provide much granularity, especially when used in an enterprise setup.

Any child can disable it to override the protection, as there is no password protection. Simply off the security. YouTube offending videos can't be prevented.

The windows client works as expected. The android one does NOT support password changes..... Fix it or notify user to login via web SSL.

How is this app able to bypass 2 factor authentication? It never prompts for the token like the windows client does. **update: there are two apps in the play store, the other one supports tokens for two factor authentication. This app should be removed.

Plus : The web protection is superior to highly acclaimed Norton ! Minus : 1, Antivirus missing in mobile version, 2,Web protection doesn't include Add Exception which u have in desktop version. Ex: in dating section, popular matrimony websites are blocked!, So only option is to disable Dating,
