About GPS Route Simulator

Are you tired of developing location aware apps and having to program your own GPS simulator? Do you want to cheat on foursquare, facebook, Tinder and whatsapp?
Use this application to simulate gps locations, routes or even KML files.

You can:

-Define a static point location or a radius to jump on intervals and watch how other apps believe that the position is correct.
-Search for a route between two points and simulate that you are following it.
-Upload a KML file to /sdcard/kml and simulate it's route in the time specified.

IMPORTANT: You must enable mock locations under 'Settings > Applications > Development > Allow mock locations'

Usage: Tap a spot on the map or find a route between two points. Then press start simulation and then press home button to exit and open another app. The new app will believe that it is where you said.

WARNING: You will probably have to reboot you phone after use to reestablish normal gps behavior

this application is great and very handy for developers it made my life easier. it has some usability issues and some strange hangs and crashes but that is acceptable to me Usability suggestions : -Allow Drop marker to the map instead of going to the boring search boxes again and again -if you ready searched , started the simulation then wanted to change it required me to click on both finds before enabling the "start simulation" button which is boring .

It's not working correctly. No matter if i set a simulate route of 200km in 23 minutes or 158 minutes the speed (km/h) will always be 36km/h in a speed/location measure app or speed camera app. Not accurate. Please fix this and the app is good.

This is the only route simulator that I could find, but it's not great. Single point location spoofing works fine. Route spoofing doesn't. Searching for a start and end point gives the error "Service Not Available", and you can't Start any route via this method. I assume this is just a point-to-point route.... KML route simulation does work, but at the end of a route, instead of finishing, it loops back to the start. Not ideal. Someone else mentioned that multiple routes can run simultaneously - I found this too. When you loaded in a new route it would run in parallel with the old route. I couldn't stop route simulation without killing the app from the app manager. (Incidently, I used google earth to generate multipoint KML routes then saved them onto my SDCard. Using "My Files" I opened the KML file directly, as the app doesn't seem to find the file if you type in the directory location). If these problems were sorted it would be a great app. As it stands, it's useful, but with limitations. (Galaxy Note. 4.1.2) Amendment: I've just revisited this app, and the route simulation is now working (and working very well I have to add).

The app works ok, has some bugs and some functionality which isn't intuitive. When simulating a route, it just jumps around rather than moving at a consistent speed. The app should allow for specifying a speed, as it seems to just use 22mph as the speed at all times.

Nice attempt and great idea but GUI is too buggy. Sorry. Pros: Application indeed simulates the location Cons: Buttons start simulation/stop simulation do not really work. Once you started simulation you can't really stop it. When you switch modes, for example between fixed location and KML track application starts doing 2 contradicting tasks at once. The only way to stop the application is to kill the process from application managers. Conclusion. Until you just want to simulate a static location you can't really use this application.

Why to put in market not working versions? There is no possible to stop simulation even after restart!

basically it's working, but position in route simulating is very unstable. it's jumping forwards and backwards.

miss a lot of simple features, like history and the possibility to search contacts or google maps saved addresses

Not sure what the point is if it can't find any addresses, no way to manually point out places, etc. So isn't doing anything....

Tried to use the simulated KML feature, but it was very difficult to locate the desired file as the apps find feature was clumsy. When using the simulate route, the app crashed when switching to google apps. Some of the messages are not in English.

Y70%

This app would be awesome if the simulate route worked correctly. For all those who think the start simulation button is disabled, it's because you don't have a street address (am actual address, not just a found location) for the start and ending locations.

Y70%
by Y####:

The position loading and finding work perfectly and the map display to correct routes for any position shown. But it falls down on the simulation part. The reported position jumps backward and forward along the route making any GPS app trying to follow the route completely fail. The only reported speeds are always 22MPH. And yet it jumps 50 miles in 1-2 seconds. If the actual simulation and speeds are corrected, this could be an excellent app.
