Settling in a foreign country can be a tedious process. Started by Brenda Tan, My Humble Home Homestay aims to make this process much easier for those wishing to study in Singapore. As such, it aims to be a one stop service that assists with school placement, visa/student pass documentation and homestay and ensures that the entire process from start to end will be a smooth one. Our vision is to provide honest, friendly and good value homestay services that you will recommend.


What makes us different?

My Humble Home Homestay places emphasis on assisting students in obtaining a place in government schools. We believe that this is key as government schools provide a better quality of education as well as dedicates more resources to it.

The first reason government schools have an edge is due to their Cambridge assessment system where students will take both the O Level and A Level examinations. This international recognition allows them to apply for top-tier schools both locally and overseas. The system is also a well-rounded one that ensures all students take subjects in the field of language, mathematics, sciences and the humanities.

This system is nurtured academically through a focus on literacy, numeracy and bilingualism from Primary One onwards. At the same time, it is supported by physical and moral education and creative and independent thinking that results in a strong sense of responsibility towards family, community and country.

The government has constantly invested in schools to ensure their quality is maintained through upgrading programmes. Schools that are being upgraded will have their classes shifted to a holding building while the upgrade is in process.
