Army Survival Study Guide

Downloaded this because of the dev's replies to bs comments. Pretty legit, no scams. What I read of the Army survival course is the same exact things I learned while I was in. Might get the others to see how the Marines do their stuff.

Its a great app it just wont let me type on the tests and quizzes

So helpful , being a survivalist myself I read and research as much as possible to give myself the best chances in the woods on fishing hunting or camping trips, even myself someone who is highly experienced with survival situations learned a lot from this app. Anyone who isn't familiar with the outdoors will benefit greatly from this app. Its easy to use, diagrams help greatly and this could definitely save your life if you take just a little bit of time to read through it and familiarize yourself with it

Being prior military myself I can say that this covers the absolute basics, semi-advanced tips and techniques for survival. It is well read, easy to follow and allows you to test your newly acquired knowledge in exam form. If you're looking for anything else, join the military or purchase yourself several survival guides. For being completely free AND not requesting any ridiculous permissions from your phone, I'd highly suggest this app for anyone wanting to newly learn or refresh their memory with this.

Never slice open a snake bite or try to suck the venom out. The venom is already flowing through the bloodstream, so slicing the bite open or a putting a mouth to the wound can lead to serious life threatening infections. Advice from a US Army Combat Lifesaver Veteran.

What caught my eye was the Dev responding to an idiot that called this app a scam. Gets 5 stars just for that. Having a Dev that speaks english is a plus. I'm prior service, was a Medic, and did desert and sea survival. So I'll critique this again after I go through the whole thing. The first thing I checked out was signaling... So far so good.

Outdated information. Some information in this app is complete opposite to manuals(army) that are listed in the bibliography. For example certain first aid techniques and field expedient weapons recommendation s. The SAS survival guide app is a more accurate and more complete tool.

Had no installation or open issues. It's exactly as promised, a basic survival trainer. I look forward to the reviews and tests. Hope to learn something new and brush up on my out of date skill set. Thanks for this!

If you spend any time outdoors this is a must-have application. Contains a lot of excellent information presented in a straightforward, clear and concise manner. I also like the study quide format of this app. One of the best free apps you'll ever find, and the fact that there are no ads is the icing on the cake.

Love survival apps just not into paying for them. This one starts with the most basic skills needed to more skilled levels of survival. I will be putting this app to the test to see of the information works for me to survive in the wild. No I wont be alone doing this. Ill have help nearby in case its needed.

It's simple, it's extremely informative. It doesn't nag you. It's only updated when there's something significant. It's just the way an app should be. Even if you're not going extreme, this stuff is just good reading and helpful to know for basic survival, camping & first aid. Thank you.

Moto X. Crashes every time I try to open. Uninstalled

This is a great app there's only two problems I have with it. Can't find a diagram section where its just diagrams and instructions would save a lot of time teaching certain things. Many, many things are over or under explained or just buried in useless rantings and unrelated facts or remarks. It needs to be more concise and straight to the important facts. Possibly a more detailed index.

I got the SAS survival book in my bug out. But I also wanted one to read where ever with out taking up much room.What better then having one on your phone.So sence I had already bought the SAS. I was hoping it let me install the app for free well I was wrong.So I said screw it! So here I am. This app It's simple, easy to read and very informative. I typically don't write reviews even if I like an app.However a previous comment tried saying this was a scam and that's simply just not true!

This app is either fatally flawed OR A COMPLETE AND TOTAL SCAM. When you launch it, you get a pretty cover screen, then this FREE APP says it can't verify your user licence agreement so it REDIRECTS YOU TO BUY THE APP!!!! SCAM CITY!!! This happened on a Kyocera Rise operating Android 4.0.4 but it happened on another device as well so it doesn't appear to be my phone malfunctioning. CAN YOU IMAGINE NEEDING THIS SURVIVAL INFORMATION IN A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION AND BEING D1CKED AROUND WITH LIKE THIS???

I've only got through the first two sections, but I can already tell you that this is an awesome resource for noobs or preppers wanting to be better prepared. 5 stars for the people who chose to help civilians by releasing an app actually worth while. Thank you from a mother of 6 worried S is about to HTF.

I have looked at many survival apps but this one has been by far the best. This app has so much useful info. I recommend this to anyone interested in survival. The app keeps track of where you left off so it is easy to continue reading when you are ready. I understand this is taken from military manuals but the info in this app if studied and applied properly could save your life if the situation should arise.

Though interesting and useful in the realms of finding shelter and water, I can't give a recommendation to anyone serious about needing a survival guide. The plant ID isn't right - while the decriptions are correct, a few of the pictures do not match the actual plants. IE: Amaranth does not bear large green fruit, and I'm fairly sure Asparagus isn't a tree. It's downright dangerous to have incorrect photos when trying to identify edible plants.

I think it's a good app and any survival app that's based off the Army's guide is good for me.

Knowledge is the best tool you can have, I like this because it's easy to use and tests your knowledge as you go giving you a way to track how well you retain the information covered. Easy to use and well organized.

This is a wonderful app for referencing and reviewing. If I think of anything to add I wil deffidently let you guys know. Great work on the app!

As far as the content it seems great, cant say whether or not its 100% accurate or not, havent tried everything in it but Id be willing to rely on it. However, i recently was in Dillingham, AK and it wouldnt let me open the app because i wasnt near any sort of network and it couldnt verify the license or something like that. It was surprising to find I couldnt use it somewhere it would be most useful.

I don't know if the dev. of this app has or had ST, I haven't even opened it yet. But by his responses to the many idiots out there it leads me to believe he has. Civi's don't need the in depth info we received in training, even tho they think that. If you truly want in-F'n -depth info, go sign up!! You'll get more than u ever wanted, I promise! Bro I will check this app out. In the mean time, keep up the "passive" aggressive comments. Spot on!!!

This is a great app IF you use it as advised, see PREPAREDNESS . This is a study guide, not a use only when needed app. Good job guys!

As mentioned, this manual does NOT cover all the bases, that's why the military has more manuals on the subject. -1 star for not publishing the other relevant manuals. Reply to Dev: Hey, if you're trying to pay your mortgage by re-publishing free manuals, knock yourself out. You might want to study the subject matter first though. There are various other manuals for different climates, desert, arctic, jungle and etc. Look it up.

Has a test option to see how well versed you are.

And love that the dev has made this app ad-free & doesn't kiss a$$ to get five star reviews.
