FODMAP by FM for Android
I cannot find the symptom chart! After browsing this app I reset everything to start using it, but just can't put my symptoms in...
It's a useful app when it works but is a bit slow sometimes and being asked to login/register everytime I open it is VERY annoying. I've also noticed some contradictory information on it... but on the whole it's good.
I have already completed a low FODMAP diet but was pleased to discover this app as it is UK based. I have found Monash app really useful but the some food isn't on there from UK. So was very disappointed that I couldn't use this app to assist with this - I seem unable to skip to stage 3 and filter out fructose and sorbitol. I want to know for instance, has baby corn got either of these ingredients in!
Great app. Helped to identity suitable foods. Also tells the ingredients which would cause problems in foods which are flagged red.
Keeps logging me out! Also, going back takes me back to square one rather than just one step so I have to enter the same search time and time again to look at several products from same producer. Not very user friendly!
None of foods I scanned were recognized on app food in food list isn't available in stores near me
The app is good although a little buggy. When searching, the app displays the results for the previous search unless you restart the app. The database needs to be more comprehensive
Great app but soooooooooo frustrating having to log back in all the time. Please fix this.....
Very helpful when shopping. But all supermarkets and not signed up to it!
Amazing app. As a student who never has much money - changing to a FODMAP diet was quite scary as I thought I would need to buy expensive brand name alternatives. The app shows tesco's and asda's own products as well as brand name food. It is easy to navigate and the scanner is great to use when you're in a shop an not sure of a product. I'm at the beginning of my FODMAP diet and so glad I found this app. Definitely recommend!!
Using android and although I can using sliding scales on current symptoms cannot see the options at the bottom of screen. One of them I think would probably say 'skip'
Great app. Shame about the amount of food that is not registered on the scan. Tried putting in numbers but still not recognised
Deleting favorites I added lots of favourites but when I checked them it was random things I hadn't selected and then it wouldn't let me delete then
Thank you for resolving the payment issues. The app is a life saver.
Really helpful app, but only free for 14 days well worth the subscription. I had an error which was sort very quickly. The only thing missing from this app is a food diary to store your eaten or planned foods but is really clear what you can and cannot have.
I like this app advantage we its potential, by the favourite option is soooo frustrating. It keep doing things that I haven't added and deleting things that I haven't deleted. While learning how to control IBS it would be great to have the things I hold normally use all in one place or a quick reference. It would be great if you could add Aldi to the list of shops.
I'd have no hesitation giving 5 stars if this had simple lunch and dinner meal recipes. Quick grab lunch ideas other than sandwiches, soup and crackerbread. It's hard enough getting to grips with the change in diet, and what we can buy, help us out and make it easier by giving ideas of what to cook with a limited menu.
It's easy to follow and very useful. I wouldn't manage the diet without it. On the down side it logs me out all the time and the scanner doesn't always work or is slow at times.
Basically the worst, least flexible, least stable fodmap out there. I want a refund. Stick to the monash app and a food diary like mysymptoms
It's not the slickest and is a bit unresponsive to touch sometimes but come on it makes such a difference to your life if your own low fodmap diet to be able to quickly check products by barcode!
Generally a good database of food. But not anything for aldi or Lidl brands, which is my normal supermarket. I would also find it useful if, for foods that are unsuitable or only in moderation, if the ingredients list could show the offending ingredients in bold (like allergens on normal packaging)
I'm still not sure if I'm eating the right portion sizes for the safe food am I missing where it says? Thanks I like that I can scan things
No Asda and Sainsbury barcodes are out of date. Useless app :-(
Thanks to the immediate response to my problem from the customer service team , I'm a happy woman. Love the app. Making this FODMAPing easier
Great that you can scan bar codes but it often didn't work thus making it redundant and the app crashes all the time. Its free for 14 days and then you have to pay but I don't think it's worth it.
Being able to scan bar codes to find out if you can eat or drink it is brill.
Whilst this app could be helpful, there are too many foods missing from it.
App is really helpful when shopping. Needs to cover more shops
Handy resource to accompany guidance from a dietitian to effectively follow the low fodmap diet.
Can't hit save on stage 1
Amazing
A great app really helpful when trying to find quick and easy products to eat. I love the scanner when I'm doing shopping it makes things much easier. The search can be a little hit-and-miss as some products are not found. The search bar can start looking before I've finished typing but easy to re-select and continue typing. Lots of branded products to look through which is helpful. I'd like to be able to see my symptoms/record them all the time to see of there has been progress/change.
Keeps logging out, search is hard work. Partial words used? Not very intuitive.
Good but buggy.
Hard to rate because the app is potentially fantastic but to have a bug that prevents you from using a major feature of the app is not good. As others have pointed out the search is broken. It closes before you have finished typing. Tip - using swiping instead - then it doesnt close.
I really like this app: it greatly simplifies my daily interactions with food! The only downside is that when I'm searching for something, the text box loses focus intermittently and the keyboard disappears. This inevitably leads to accidental selection of something else on screen, and much cursing on my part. It's just about avoidable if I type super slowly, but still...
Had problems with loading and crashing but had some very swift help and now all seems to be fine. The search function is great. App seems a little slow at times, but nothing really to complain about. Recommend.
There is still the little glitch that sometimes before you have finished typing an item into the search bar the app searches before I have finished typing, a little annoying, just have to type it in again. Otherwise a good app and especially as it enables barcode scans. Do do need to be online for it to function properly.
The app is ok but a lot of own brand products aren't recognised when using the scanner, app doesn't work in most supermarkets as no mobile signal available so have made a few purchases which haven't been able to use because of this. Have spent time at home with WiFi connection trying to input a type of shopping list in readiness for next shop but all in all it has helped me get to grips with the diet.

OK so sometimes found things become 'not found' but that's probably just me. Once you get used to app it is so good. Would recommend it to anyone who asked. Some things are not listed but once you become familiar with ingredients that are ok, eg tapioca starch, a little bit of common sense opens new doors. My mistake buys get eaten by my husband. Win win. Excellent.
