Calories in food for Android
This has a lot of useful info but would like to be able to change setting to ounces, also be able to delete or hide foods I don't eat. And "baby food" is two words. Would pay $ for app if these changes were made, thank you
I love this app, I work as a field technician, so I do a lot of traveling around the city. With this app. I use it's search feature, and I could choose which food is good for me. I typed McDonald's, and all of their menu came up, really helpful. Sorry for the long review, just wanted to tell folks how this works. Because I need to loose weight, so I was looking for an app that's not bulls@@t. Good luck on your weight loss people.
I am using the app to help me again weight after and unpleasant illness. It has a wealth of information, but I have to convert everything. Could we have a metric option (for the rest of the world)
Just now downloaded it so have only had it a few minutes. So far it's just what I wanted. No extraneous bells & whistles. I want to key in an item & see how many calories it has, period. Don't need nor want to track, keep a log, etc. Does just what I want!
For the American market, lots of US brands, food names and naming for cooking techniques. Also the search function is poorly written and sloppy. I have no idea how this app got this score.
Every time I wanted to find a food, it wasn't there... egg salad, pistachios, we're the first I tried. Then dry roasted peanuts with salt. Its just too time consuming to run down a meal. I would rather be able to tell it what I want and it brings up my choice, not 20 choices.
Perfect app full of information ...calories are not important when eating foods natural to the body. Only junk food should be counted. However, no animal catches it's kill and worries about calories other than humans who developed junk foods that are not recognizable to the body.
It's provide wrong nutrition calculation of food. I think developer is don't know the calorie calculation. Here i give you a original data of nutrition 1g value of 1g PROTEIN = 4 kcal 1g Carbohydrate = 4 kcal 1g Fat = 9 kcal.
This app doesn't include many ingredients. I've just checked one recipe and I couldn't get values for pancetta or creme frâiche. And garlic was shown at 100g. Shame.
I haven't had much time to look at everything, but so far it has been a great help. I mostly look at the carb counts for diabetes control when the information isn't available elsewhere.
Useless. This shows that there are 155 calories in 100 grams of hard boiled eggs. How about something useful like how many calories are in one large egg?
Really like the concept. But I'm on a low carb diet and need to calculate net carbs. Having the fiber content in addition to the carbs would've been helpful, otherwise, pretty useless to me personally.
Whilst it is a bit frustrating that everything is in 100gram measurements everyone's idea of portion size is different & fruit and veg are varying sizes, so understand the reason for this. Overall a really good FREE app.
Fairly comprehensive generically, but tough to keep up with all the new gen competitive brands that *add ingredients, and calories* to products, like basic "dry roasted almonds" with other solvents/ processes, but not actually telling us about them.
Seems OK. Haven't really used it yet. But I think it will work out for what I want. I just want to know the carbs in food not track them.
App is almost useless The app is not... Usable I can't actually use it, I already know the fatty foods from the non fatty.
There is a great amount of information here but for me it could be much more useful if it quoted typical serving sizes as well as per 100g. For example, how many grams are there in a tablespoon of olive oil, in a medium siz egg, in a small tomato? I don't want to waste time weighing everything. Quoting only per 100g makes it not useful for me.
Thanks for this great app. A lot of time must have been put into making this app, I found it's amazing. I've noticed some moaning people giving 1 star because they couldn't find one item, it's free for God's sake !! 10/10 & thanks.
I'm having to blend foods for an anti-cancer ketogenic diet for my husband's g-tube. It is not easy! I have to create a high fat, low carb, no sugar diet that can be blended and liquified. This app is a life saver!
This has been my go to app since I went on the Insulin Pump I have to count my carbs. I thought I did a good job before by counting the carbs off the food wrapper but I was always off, then always taking extra insulin. I noticed that the back of the wrapper was different from this app. I followed the numbers from the app and woe what a change. Not only is my sugar better but I have lost 15lbs. In one month. Perfect
Calorie counters are loaded with tons of not needed info. Blogs, recipes, absurd nutritional advices.... I just needed the caloric figures in food. Now I found the app I was looking for. Also, having different foods depending on languages is an absolute advantage in multiethnic times. Good job, thank you.
Great app!!! Exactly what I was looking for. To the people complaining about having to weight food. It's really the only accurate way to calculate your caloric intake. Also everything is listed in 100g so to figure out how much your getting in 28 grams of cherry's just divide the Cal's of cherry's by 100g and then multiply by 28 :)
Easy easy easy and lot's of entries. It would be five star if fast food was portioned also by item & not the 100g calculation. For example, knowing what a Big Mac's carbs are if I'm on the run. I have no clue what 100g of the Big Mac looks like and neither does the person at the drive up window...
For those complaining about everything in grams - it's actually more accurate and all labels give amounts in grams if you actually read them. It is easy to figure amounts based on 100 grams. If you eat 50 grams, divide call in half.
Very comprehensive. Love love love the 100gram portion size. All food has macros per 100gram and if you don't eat 100grams, simply multiply the macro by the amount you have in grams, and move the decimal point 2 places to the left.
Easy to use and does what you would expect it to. One think I would like to see in the app is pictures of what 100g of the foods look like. It helps put things in perspective when you can't or don't want to weigh out all your food.
The information provided is good, but there is a lot of information which cannot be used. If you can provide favorites option for quick review, it would be helpful. It is wasting time every time you look through.
Realistically, most ppl don't eat 100g of green onions in one sitting. Consider serving size. I have to use another app for conversion to serving size. Also consider Imperial measurement for the USA. Otherwise it's fast and packed with choice. But without changes I'll delete this app.
Perfect app full of information ...calories are not important when eating foods natural to the body. Only junk food should be counted. However, no animal catches it's kill and worries about calories other than humans who developed junk foods that are not recognizable to the body.
I agree whole heartedly with Neil. Measuring by cups, 1/2 cup, Tablespoons or teaspoon would be much more helpful. Also in ounces rather than in grams if you want to be weighing everything. For instance, two slices of pineapple have how many calories? How much per slice? Really don't want to be weigh all my food!
I m getting fat evryday becouse I use to eat lots of celories but bcos of this app I will think bfor eat ....thnku so much team
Wish it didn't have metric measurements. It would be better to have the option of changing grams to cups or vice versa.
What is up with the virus alert? NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE PRIOR TO DOWNLOAD! Ugh
Would get 5 stars if you could save favourites and regularly taken foods. Needs some kind of calculator within app so you can see total days intake.
Some items in the lists are unnecessary. I couldnt evem find regular corn tortillas...not fried, not cooked, just plain. But overall it meets my needs!
I could not delete error added to food log
Has most foods, very clear but the serving size for everything is 100grams, which is rather inconvenient. Would be nice if it's broken down more sensibly, eg slice bread, cup cereal, etc.
Too many items are repeated with different calories but the same discretion; it would be nice if it can monitor the daily meals as well
I'd like to see ounces/cups/slice etc...for us in the United States of America. Try My Fitness app instead...much better info, and you can add your own foods which you eat regularly. Sorry, will be uninstalling the app. Looks nice, though.
